Disconnection of Wireless LAN Attack and Countermeasure (무선 LAN 연결 해제 공격과 보안)

  • In a wireless LAN environment, security is the most important. Security of 802.11 standard has many vulnerabilities of the network attack. IEEE has created mechanisms to security for this vulnerability. But the vulnerabilities is characteristic of broadcast in the air in wireless LAN, it is more disclosure then other network environments. In a wireless LAN environment, it can be accessed to the wireless LAN after authentication. Authentication process is one of most important because of the first security step. However, in the authentication process is not mentioned in the method of reducing the disclosure maximum fundamental. Therefore, in this research, the vulnerability of 802.11 are presented and how to do de-authentication in 802.11.

Performance Analysis of DS/CDMA System in 2.4GHz ISM-band Wireless LAN (2.4㎓ ISM 대역 무선 LAN에서 DS/CDMA 시스템의 성능 분석)

  • Wireless LANs in the 2.4 ㎓ ISM- band create a new Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) problem. We investigated the interference characteristics between such wireless LANs in the case of identical systems, systems with different technical parameters for modulation and demodulation, and using a Gaussian noise source as a disturbance source. Experimental results show that higher throughput is obtained when adjacent wireless LANs use different systems, and that interference characteristics can be evaluated experimentally using a Gaussian noise source. Calculated BER characteristics for the interference agree with experimental measurements, indicating that this calculation method can be used for the design of the wireless LAN network to avoid interference. It is possible to construct an efficient wireless LAN network by combining different wireless LAN systems.

Spectrum Requirements Prediction for WLAN Considering Frequency Interference (간섭을 고려한 무선 LAN 주파수 소요량 예측)

  • Owing to the proliferation of smart phone users, a proactive spectrum policy is needed in order to deal with increasing data traffic. Therefore, the prediction of frequency requirements for future wireless local area network (WLAN) as well as a licensed cellular communication is necessary. In this paper, we proposed a new prediction method for WLAN spectrum requirements. This method includes both a traditional prediction method and an offloading percentage from cellular network, Also, it can consider a frequency interference between access points using a statistical approach. Based on these approaches, we can predict the spectrum requirements of future domestic WLAN services considering the frequency interference. Finally, we suggest the spectrum policy for WLAN which can prevent spectrum shortage of future WLAN services.

  • 본 논문에서는 직접확산방식 무선 LAN의 이기종간 간섭특성에 관하여 검토를 하였다. 그 결과 일대일의 통신을 하는 2종의 무선 LAN에 있어서 변조 파라미터의 다른 두 종류의 무선LAN을 D/U비가 15dB이상이 되도록 조합함으로써 전송효율 특성은 동일 시스템의 두조를 사용하는 것보다도 개선되는 것을 알았다. 또한, 이기종간 간섭모델을 상정하여 디지털 신호처리해석을 사용하여 무선 LAN의 이기종간 간섭특성에 대한 비트 에러율(BER) 및 전송효율 특성을 구했다. 계산결과는 측정 결과와 거의 일치하고 이기종간 간섭 환경에서의 일대일 통신에 있어서 전송효율 특성을 보다 명확히 하였다. 이상의 결과는 이기종간 간섭파에 있어서 무선 LAN의 통신 특성의 추정에 유효하다고 생각된다.

Including BPF. we realized hardware of wireless LAN and CSMA software program. Using this system, we can establish the PC wireless LAN.

  • 본 논문에서는 증가하는 광대역 무선 서비스의 수요에 부응하기 위해서 이미 제정되었거나 현재 제정중인 무선 LAN 표준안으로서 IEEE 802.11, ETSI BRAN의 HIPERLAN, WIN Forum의 SUPERNET, MMAC-PC, ATM Forum의 WATM-WG 규격의 동향에 대하여 살펴본다. 또한 ETSI BRAN과 MMAC-PC 등에서 무선 LAN의 공통된 물리계층 표준안으로 현재 추진 중이고, 5㎓ 대역의 무선 ATM 모뎀 표준안과도 직접적인 관련이 있는 OFDM 방식의 IEEE 802.11a 무선 LAN 모뎀 기술에 대하여 기술한다.

  • Use of wireless LAN limited to special fields in restricted space as enterprises and university networks becomes gradually generalized and its needs are gathering strength. This paper shows transfer modes and structures of 2.400 wireless LAN spreaded at present. And we made experiments on an influence of transmission characteristics and rates of Packet signals in various User's environments and analyzed optimum transmission levels of signals fitted in User's environments.
