A Study for Application of Train Information Collection Device using RTD System (무선 전송 장치를 이용한 열차정보 수집 장치 개선 방안에 관한 연구)

  • Because contemporary rolling stock system is complex and highly advanced, and it builds mutual interface, it is necessary to manage maintenance of rolling stock systematically. This study present a case, which shows how to adopt and apply RTD(Remote Transmission Device) integrated to train information collection device. After the train service is complete and the train enters the main subway station, various kinds of information collected from TCMS(Train Control Monitoring System) is transmitted to train depot information collection device through RTD. This study suggests that RTD integrated to train information collection device helps build an effective rolling stock maintenance system by improving reliability of data transmission and cutting maintenance costs.

  • Mobile Ad-hoc Network consists of mobile nodes without immobile base station. In mobile ad-hoc network, network cutting has occurred frequently in node because of energy restriction and frequent transfer of node. Therefore, it requires research for certain techniques that react softly in topology alteration in order to improve reliability of transmission path. This paper proposes path selection techniques to consider mobility of node that respond when search path using AOMDV routing protocol. As applying proposed techniques, We can improve reliability and reduce re-searching number of times caused by path cutting.

Cooperative Multipath Routing Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서 네트워크를 위한 협력 다중경로 라우팅 프로토콜)

  • Multipath routing technique is recognized as one of the effective approaches to improve the reliability of data forwarding. However, the traditional multipath routing focuses only on how many paths are needed to ensure a desired reliability. For this purpose, the protocols construct additional paths and thus cause significant energy consumption. These problems have motivated the study for the energy-efficient and reliable data forwarding. Thus, this paper proposes an energy-efficient cooperative multipath routing protocol with a small number of paths based on an inter path communication. The inter path communication (namely, cooperative multipath routing) in the proposed protocol helps to reinforce the multipath reliability and reduce the use of network resources. In addition, the proposed protocol provides a reliable end-to-end transmission time by using a transmission recovery method based on the local decision for the path or transmission failures.

A Study on OSPF for Active Routing in Wireless Tactical Communication Network (전술통신망에서 능동적 라우팅을 위한 OSPF에 대한 연구)

  • OSPF is the optimized routing protocol in wired network and considered as a tactical routing protocol in wireless tactical communication network. However because it is designed basically based on wired environment, it runs inadequately in wireless tactical environment: noise and jamming signal. So, we proposed new OSPF cost function to develop active routing protocol in wireless tactical communication network. In redefined cost function, there are four parameters that are relative transmission speed, link weight, router utilization, link average BER(Bit Error Rate). These parameters reflect wireless tactical characters. Also, we remodel the option field in Hello packet. It can help user to periodically check the link state. From the simulation result, it is shown that proposed OSPF is better than OSPF in jamming situation and has accumulative delay gain with dispersion of traffic load in entire network.

  • 최근에 RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) 기술은 사물인터넷의 기반 기술로 다양한 애플리케이션의 개발과 함께 산업화/정보화에 크게 기여하고 있다. 그러나 산업에서 요구하는 RFID 태그, 리더의 요구사항이 단순한 인식뿐만 아니라 다양한 정보를 장기간 저장하고 관리할 목적으로 태그 메모리 크기가 확장되고 있으며, 해당 정보를 태그에 읽고 쓰기 위하여 간섭 잡음에 강한 신뢰성 있는 성능 향상 무선통신기술이 연구되고 있다. 본고에서는 RFID 태그-리더 간 고속으로 통신하는 기술과 다량의 태그 밀집 환경에서 RFID 인식률 향상을 위한 빔포밍 기술에 대하여 기술한다.

  • 최근 무선통신기술과 소형 하드웨어의 발전으로 모든 환경에서 네트워크 및 컴퓨팅이 가능한 IoT(Internet of Things) 기기들이 지속적으로 증가하는 추세이며, 이러한 IoT 트랜드는 지속될 전망이다. 기존 IoT 플랫폼은 일반적으로 전력 사용적인 측면에서 In-memory 컴퓨팅을 지향하지만 이러한 방식은 시스템 에러 발생 시 메모리의 휘발성으로 인해 신뢰성이 저하되는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 전체 시스템의 신뢰성 향상을 위해 XML 형식의 파일과 관계형 데이터베이스를 이용한 IoT 기반 상황 인식 시스템 서버를 설계한다. 설계된 상황 인식 시스템 서버는 추론 엔진을 포함하고 있으며, 사용자가 등록한 룰과 수집된 상황 데이터를 이용하여 전체 시스템을 동작시킨다. 또한, 전체 시스템의 신뢰성을 검증하기 위해 3가지 동작 시나리오를 제안한다.

  • Wireless media communication has lower robustness and stability than wired communication because of narrow bandwidth and unstable channel state. To make up for the deficient points of wireless communication, we used the diversity effect of cooperation communication and the error correction effect of channel coding schemes. In this paper, the cooperative communication system with RCPC codes and Hybrid ARQ transmission scheme is proposed for improving reliability on wireless communication, and we executed these simulations. From the simulation results, proposed system is showed lower BER performance than legacy system. In addition, we confirm the fact that the channel state of Relay-node and source-node is more important than the channel state of Relay-node and destination-node.

  • Visible light communication is a communication method using an LED having a high-speed ON / OFF rate data to be transmitted, it is used as a wireless high speed data transmission. VLC system evolves, the problem of basic research is intended to improve performance and ensure reliability of the communication. The nature of the visible light communication, communication is performed only in the reach of the light, which indicates a big difference by the emission angle of the light. Therefore, in this paper, in the case of indoor environments generally, with the attributes of the multiple LED is equipped, was applied to a MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) communication system. and analyzed SNR performance and total power can be obtained on the reception side by changing the emission angle of the transmitter. As a result of the simulation was run against this, it was confirmed that there is a significant impact on the performance of BER and SNR performance by the emission angle of the transmitter.

  • 최근 스마트 폰, PDA 등과 같이 다양한 모바일 기기 개발과 무선 통신 기술의 비약적인 발전으로 모바일 환경에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 모바일 애드혹(Ad-hoc) 네트워크는 기지국 없이 신속한 네트워크 구성 및 유지가 가능하여 군의 전술 상황이나 긴급 재난 상황에서 적용이 가능하다. 위와 같은 특수 상황에서는 실질적으로 모든 피어들에게 공평하게 분배된 트래픽이 발생되는 것이 아니라 소수의 피어들에게서 트래픽이 집중적으로 발생된다. 하지만 기존의 라우팅 프로토콜은 대부분 이러한 가정을 하지 않고 제안되었기 때문에 실질적인 데이터 흐름에 대해 적합하지 못하다. 그리하여 본 논문에서는 슈퍼 피어 시스템을 기반으로 네트워크 트래픽을 집중적으로 발생시키는 중요 피어들의 신뢰성 향상을 위하여 중요 피어와 슈퍼피어 간의 주기적인 통신을 통하여 라우팅 경로를 확보하였다. 실험 결과 기존 방식과 비교하여 중요 피어들의 쿼리 성공률이 3.2% 증가하였음을 확인하였다.

Reliable Contention-Based Forwarding Approach (Contention-Based Forwarding의 신뢰성 향상 방안)

  • Due to recent advances in wireless devices and the automotive industry, Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs) have emerged as a very promising technology for transferring data collected on the road by moving cars. The delivered data may contain emergency information which affects the safety of passengers and drivers as well as the traffic congestion, and the routing protocols have thus a significant impact on the performance of VANETs. In this paper, we study the impact of movement direction of the participating cars which forward data packets on the performance of data delivery and present a new approach which extends the contention-based forwarding (CBF). The proposed reliable CBF (R-CBF) increases the reliability of data deliver on the traffic lights installed roads and reduces the overall propagation delay without routing loops or interruption of data forwarding that may be caused by changes of relative positions of involving cars in routing. Simulation demonstrates that the R-CBF diminishes propagation delay by 38% in comparison to G-SRMB which forwards data to moving cars in the backward direction and eliminates unnecessary retransmissions.
