Recovery component for cell division in UV-irradiated E. coli B was detected with use of the cell extract of E. coli B/r which is a resistant mutant of E. coli B against UV-irradiation. The active substance was non-dialyzable and increased the activity by adding B-NAD remarkably. One more factor for increasing or promoting the restoration recognized was magnesium. Magnesium was effective to stabilze the substance in procedure of isolation. Two active substances were obtained from sucrose gradient centrifugation. One of them was recovred from the botton area and the other from top area just below below surface. the former was not stabilized by magnesium, while the latter stabilized the activity by it remarkably. The former which did not require magnesium was insensitive to protease and the latter which required magnesium was sensitive to it. Both were insensitive to RNase and DNase. Recovery ratio was doubled by using nitrogen gas than aeration in purification process. DNA-ligase less mutant was revealed same activity on it's recovery ratio with the parent strain of E. coli K-12. The active substance stimulating the filament cell may exist as a complex which is inactivated easily in the dissociated state ana requrie B-NAD or magnesium.

Aneurysm of the sinus of Valsalva on mostly congenital disease that develops more frequently in Orientals, is very low in incidence. In most cases, aneurysm of the sinus of Valsalva extends to intracardiac and results in ruptures into the right ventricle or atrium. The likelihood of extracardiac aneurysm of the sinus of Valsalva is very low. Cases of extracardiac aneurysm are usually accompanied by aortic regurgitation and can cause right ventricle outflow tract obstruction, myocardial ischemia, and myocardial infarction due to compression by aneurysm. Since the aneurysm can rupture in the intrapericardium and cause cardiogenic shock or sudden death, definite diagnosis and management are important. If confirmed, it is preferable operform a surgical correction. We report here, with a literature review, a case where myocardial ischemia and aortic egurgitation caused by aneurysm developed in the left coronary and noncoronary sinus, and were surgically corrected with satisfactory esults.

Zoltan, P. Dienes is a famous researcher and practitioner who has tried to teach mathematical structures to children for about 50 years. Even though his ideas of teaching mathematics and materials including MAB have been well known in Korea, they are only a part of his achievement he has developed for his whole life. So this article is designed for taking an overview of his whole life and achievement and getting some implications for today's mathematics education. In this article, his life story could be divided by five periods in terms of a scholastic career and his research achievement could be reorganized with respect to five theses: psychology of learning mathematics, mathematical curriculum, teacher education, games and material for mathematical learning. As a result, it is found that there is a deep connection between his personal life and his scholastic career.

The concept of infinity, as with other scientific concepts, has a history of evolution. In the present work we intend to discuss the subject matter with regard to Bolzano since he is considered to be the first to accept the idea of actual infinity not just from a metaphysical perspective but from a mathematical one. Like modem platonists, Bolzano defended the infinite set itself regardless of the construction process; this is based on the principal of comprehension and unicity of denotation regarding all concepts. In addition, instead of considering as paradoxical the fact that a one-to-one correspondence existed between an infinite set and its parts, he regarded it in a positive way as a special characteristic. While the Greek era recognized the existence of only one infinity, Balzano acknowledged the existence of various types of infinity and formulated a logical definition for it. The question of infinity is a touchstone of constructive method which holds an increasingly important role in mathematics. The present study stops with just a brief reference to the subject matter and we will leave further in-depth investigation for later.

ICC profiles of output devices are necessary to solve the problem of color inconsistency between output devices. Therefore, output device manufacturers are offering ICC profiles that encode each model\`s color characteristics according to the specification decided in ICC (International Color Consortium). In this study, a program that can decode data of ICC profile was composed and evaluated the present condition of ICC profile files of domestic CRT monitor. As a result of comparing the ICC profiles of various model\ulcorner selling since 1999 from LG and Samsung companies, it was found that ICC profiles that are made at a similar time are the same regardless of model\`s specification and in some profiles, extraordinary data are saved. Accordingly, it can be said that current ICC profiles are made independently of the real monitor\`s color characteristics. This paper shows how color characteristics of a real monitor are affected by the control of brightness and color temperature, and proposes that the ICC profile has to be made from the data. measured in the optimum brightness state at each color temperature setting.

The chemical aspects of nitridated surface of sapphire(0001) have been studied by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Nitridated layer was formed by remote plasma enhanced-ultrahigh vacuum deposition at a low temperature range. It was confirmed that this nitridated surface was mainly consists of AIN layer. The relative amounts of nitrogen reacted with AL on the sapphire surface and their surface morphology were investigated with X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) as a function of radio-frequency power, reaction temperature, and reaction time. The amounts of atomic nitrogen activated by plasma which was subsequently incorporated into sapphire were increased with RF power. But the amounts of nitrogen reacted with AI in sapphire was initially increased and then remained constant. However, the relative amounts of AIN were nearly constant with irrespective of nitridation temperature and time. Furthermore, a depth porfile of nitridated layer with XPS showed that the nitridated surface consisted of three layers with different stoichiometry.

This study presents the experimental results of $CaCO_3$ formation in sand by the Enzyme Induced Carbonate Precipitation (EICP) method. Concentration of $CaCO_3$ with elapsed reaction time is calibrated by standardized procedure by measuring $CO_2$ pressure, and it increases with time towards asymptotic value. Jumunjin sand saturated with EICP solution shows that both shear wave velocity and electrical conductivity sharply increase as the reaction starts to approach to the constant values after 50 hours of reaction time. Urease concentration of 0.5 g/L exhibits 224% higher final shear wave velocity than that of 0.1 g/L. The nucleation models hint that carbonate tends to precipitate not only at grain contacts but also at grain surfaces. Regardless of urease concentration, electrical conductivity and shear wave velocity follow the unique path. The scanning electron microscopic images and X-ray computed tomographic images validate the spatial configuration of produced $CaCO_3$ in soils.

In Korea chicken meat price is not determined in the auction markets, but it is artificially calculated using the live chicken price of one day before, transporting cost, converting rate of live chicken into carcass, and slaughtering cost. This calculated price is published through the mass media and used as the base for chicken meat transaction. By the way, since 85% of the Korean broiler industry is composed by the integrated system, the live chicken price is nothing to do with ex-factory price of chicken meat produced by the integrators. Under this pricing system, when we estimate the margin of the chicken meat through the marketing process, the margin of the integrator is fluctuated by the live chicken price of one day before, which is nothing to do with integrators; When the live chicken price is low, the margin of the integrators is low, but the margin of the selling agencies' is relatively high. On the contrast, when the live chicken price is high, the margin of the integrators is high, but the selling agencies' margin will be relatively low, because consumer's price could not be increased in parallel with increase of the live chicken price. Accordingly, the ex-factory price of chicken meat determined using the production cost of live chicken and slaughtering cost of the integrator by adding resonable margin of the integrator should be determined and published, so that it could be used for chicken meat transaction. In Japan the Zen-Noh Chicken Foods Corporation announce the ideal piece of chicken every morning, and all the transactions of the chicken meat will be determined based on this price. In Korea, it will be desirable to make bench marking from Japanese case, in other words the NH could announce the ideal price of chicken meat every morning, so that it would be the base price of chicken meat transaction. Even though the market share of the NH is less than 5%, its publicity should be accepted, since it is a subsidiary of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation of Korea.

ATES(Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage) 열펌프 시스템은 기존의 다양한 열원 적용 시스템 대비 효율이 우수한 것으로 알려져 유럽과 미국에서 건물 냉난방 시스템으로 적용되고 있다. 특히, ATES 시스템은 기존의 냉난방 시스템 대비 경제성이 우수한 것으로 알려져 있으나 국내에서는 이에 대한 연구 결과는 전무한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 ATES 열펌프 시스템의 실증 성능 결과를 분석하였으며, LNG 보일러와 에어컨을 사용하는 기존의 냉난방 시스템을 비교시스템으로 ATES 열펌프 시스템의 경제성 평가를 수행하였다. ATES 시스템의 연간 실증 성능 실험결과 ATES 시스템은 외기온도와 무관하게 연중 안정적인 성능을 나타내었다. 경제성 평가시에 생애주기법(Life Cycle Cost)을 적용하여 ATES 열펌프 시스템의 설치 및 운전에 필요한 총 소요비용을 산정하고, 이 결과를 바탕으로 투자회수기간법을 통해 ATES 시스템의 투자회수 기간을 산정하였다. 생애주기법 적용 시에 현재가치법을 사용하였으며, 현재가치법은 수명주기에 발생하는 모든 투자비용과 절감액을 일정한 시점을 기준으로 등가환산하는 방법을 의미한다. 현재가치법에 사용되는 현재가치는 초기비용과 현재가치계수의 곱으로 나타나는데, 여기에서 현재가치계수는 임의의 이자율로 일정기간 동안 정기적인 할부금액이 적립될 때의 현재금액을 구하기 위해 사용하는 계수를 의미한다. 전기와 LNG는 각각 2009년 7월의 (주)한국전력공사와 (주)한국가스공사의 고시요금을 적용하였다. 본 시스템은 실증 설비용량인 20RT를 대상 건물로 가정하였고, 초기투자비는 크게 공사비와 냉난방 설비 구입비로 구성되어 있으며, 기본적인 물가지표는 (사)한국물가정보(KPI)의 고시 데이터를 참조하였다. 각 시스템의 초기투자비는 ATES 시스템이 비교대상 기존 냉난방 시스템 대비 5.7배 높게 나타났다. 일일 8시간 사용기준으로 계절별 전력요금을 고려한 연간운전 비용은 ATES 시스템이 기존 시스템 대비 냉난방 시에 각각 77%와 16%를 나타내어 운전비용이 연간 절감되었고, 난방 운전 시 절감 비율이 냉방시보다 크게 나타났다. 두 시스템에 대한 생애주기비용을 산정하기 위하여 에어컨과 보일러의 기존시스템과 ATES 시스템의 가용연수를 모두 20년으로 설정하였고, 유지보수 비용은 초기투자비용의 2%로 설정하고, 할인율은 은행 예금이자를 기준으로 5%로 설정하였다. 전기와 LNG의 요금 상승률은 (사)한국물가정보를 바탕으로 각각 2%와 8%로 가정하였다. 이러한 조건에서 생애주기법을 이용한 경제성평가는 ATES 시스템의 경우 생애운전비용이 초기투자비용보다 작게 나타났으며, 기존 냉난방 시스템은 생애운전비용이 초기투자비용에 비하여 높게 나타났다. 본 연구 대상 ATES 열펌프 시스템의 실증 성능 데이터와 기존 문헌으로부터 얻은 냉난방 시스템의 성능 결과를 이용하여 생애주기 비용을 적용한 결과 ATES 시스템의 기존 시스템 대비 투자회수 기간은 6.62년으로 나타났다. 특히, 본 연구에서는 ATES 시스템이 국내 최초로 적용됨에 따라 스크린 등의 부품을 다소 고가의 제품으로 시스템에 적용하였으므로 ATES 시스템의 신뢰성과 안정성이 확보되면 초기 투자비 감소가 가능할 것으로 예상되며, 기존 시스템 대비 투자회수 기간은 더욱 감소될 수 있을 것으로 예상된다.
