A Design of Sensor Web service Framework for Wireless Sensor Networks Environment (무선 센서 네트워크 환경에 대한 센서 웹 서비스 프레임워크의 설계)

  • In this paper, we design ZigBee RF based framework for mobile web service on collected data by sensor node and transmitting data to data base by sensor network and remote sensing server through wireless connection. The proposed system is an integrated platform of sensor network for the sensor management and providing SOA based sensor web access. This paper combines SOA technology with sensor network. composes sensor node as web view, and provides high capability. extensiveness, reliability, and usability to the user who accesses to sensor web. The mobile message conversion module, SOAP message processing module. WSDL message generator, and mobile web service module is embodied for improving the capacity of the framework. The capacity evaluation of local wireless communication system which is proposed in this paper is analyzed through NS-2 simulation.

User Needs and Uses of Mobile Services in Academic Libraries (대학도서관 모바일 서비스 이용자의 요구와 이용 분석 연구)

  • Academic libraries are trying to develop fully mobile web sites and mobile applications so that users can access to their services even using mobile devices. As the mobilization trends of library services increase in quantity, we need to more focus on what mobile services users want, ultimately for the growth with quality. This study seeks to explore users' needs and uses of mobile library services and then suggests solutions for improving the mobile services in academic libraries. This study conducted on and off-line surveys with 608 students from two universities, which have provided active mobile services with both a mobile web site and an application. The questionnaire was designed to elicit information on respondents' frequency of mobile library visit, the purpose of visit, the reason to use/not use, how to access to the services, the preferred types of the services, satisfaction and dissatisfaction factors, and urgently needed improvements. Based on the findings, this study discussed strategies to improve the quality of mobile services and to increase in users' visit.

  • The new environment of music service has brought changes in digital music industry. Today, various forms of music contents are presented in ubiquitous environments. Thus, securing various contents becomes very important in monopolistic competition of music market. Under the circumstance, web 2.0 provides a networking environment to form diverse relations. Social Network Service (SNS) is a service to emphasize people relation and is different from information-centered Internet service. And mobile SNS becomes popular as Smartphone rapidly increases. NeowizBugs merged with NeowizInternet managing Sayclub of a music-specified SNS site. And the firm confirms comprehensive contents by making ties with SM entertainment. Thus, the integration corporation secures and manages a new business model by linking digital contents with SNS. Generally, music-specified SNS has advertisement business model and uses a recommend system utilizing the database of users. By introducing the case of NeowizBugs, this study tries to identify the success strategy of music distributors fitting ubiquitous environment including web 2.0, mobile SNS, Smartphone, etc.

  • 전국 50여개의 AI(Artificial Insemination)센터는 국내 양돈산업 인공수정 기술을 개발하고 보급하는 중추적인 역할을 수행하고 있다. 이에 반해 AI센터의 숫자 규모는 전국적으로 매우 제한되어 있어, AI센터의 운영 및 AI 기술에 대한 정보관리는 각 센터별 독자적인 운영시스템으로 관리되어 상호 정보융합을 통한 양돈산업 발전에 활용되는 사례가 매우 적다. 또한 개별 AI센터에서 관리하고 있는 소비자들의 지역분포도가 매우 폭넓어 실시간으로 수요자에 대한 판매 관리정보를 제공함에 있어 그 한계를 가지고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 전국의 AI센터 관리운영에 통합적이고 효율성을 지원할 수 있는 모바일 웹기반 개선된 AI PigMoS(Pig Monitoring System, PigMoS) 시스템을 제안하고 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 모바일 웹기반 개선된 AI PigMoS 시스템은 이동성, 실시간 정보서비스 등에 해당되는 시스템 모듈을 모바일 웹을 기반으로 구현하여 개별 AI센터에서 운영할 수 있게 하였다. 이에 본 논문에서는 기존의 AI PigMoS 시스템을 개선하여 재구축하였으며, 이동성, 실시간 정보서비스 등이 필요한 모듈을 중심으로 모바일 기능을 설계하고 구현하여, 원거리 소비자들에게 실시간으로 생성된 AI정보를 제공하여 AI센터의 정보관리 효율성과 경쟁력 향상을 높일 것으로 기대한다.

  • Miniaturization of equipments which have wireless network function and sensor have changed utilization method of computer in daily life, and have contributed to development for ubiquitous computing environment. In this paper, we design camera control system based wireless mobile and web-environmental through which nurse, doctor and family of patient can share and observe the information on condition of patient in hospital. Besides, this camera control system makes it possible to integrate diverse equipments of hospital into one system, and to conduct remote control function which can be applied to the patient control system. It is impossible to control shooting direction of camera apparatus in a remote area for observing patient in a hospital room through general web camera. So in this paper, we showed new design; we attached step motor which can rotate 360 degrees to web camera, and the step motor can operate through control board. Besides, we developed application for two environments, mobile and web-based environment, which enables us to offer proper efficiency in accordance with condition of observer through observation of control and collected image data.

  • In a circumstance that the development of mobile media through the on-line consumer desire in the era of Web 2.0 has promoted extension of personal mobile media on the part of consumers, this study examined consumer trends depending on use of e-learning contents through mobile media. In connection with tendencies through mobile prosumers' consumption patterns and use of mobile educational contents, I analyzed user demands based on characteristics of personal media centering around a communities of e-learning portals. Direction of e-learning technological development calls on mobile communication companies to open their networks and share platform following digital convergence. E-learning contents should be produced in a custom-made way for the personal media. This study is aimed at contributing for advancement of e-learning contents consumers' user convenience implicating examination into consumer demands which are necessary to invigorate e-learning contents.

Exploring the Temporal Relationship Between Traffic Information Web/Mobile Application Access and Actual Traffic Volume on Expressways (웹/모바일-어플리케이션 접속 지표와 TCS 교통량의 상관관계 연구)

  • In the recent years, the internet has become accessible without limitation of time and location to anyone with smartphones. It resulted in more convenient travel information access both on the pre-trip and en-route phase. The main objective of this study is to conduct a stationary test for traffic information web/mobile application access indexes from TCS (Toll Collection System); and analyzing the relationship between the web/mobile application access indexes and actual traffic volume on expressways, in order to analyze searching behavior of expressway related travel information. The key findings of this study are as follows: first, the results of ADF-test and PP-test confirm that the web/mobile application access indexes by time periods satisfy stationary conditions even without log or differential transformation. Second, the Pearson correlation test showed that there is a strong and positive correlation between the web/mobile application access indexes and expressway entry and exit traffic volume. In contrast, truck entry traffic volume from TCS has no significant correlation with the web/mobile application access indexes. Third, the time gap relationship between time-series variables (i.e., concurrent, leading and lagging) was analyzed by cross-correlation tests. The results indicated that the mobile application access leads web access, and the number of mobile application execution is concurrent with all web access indexes. Lastly, there was no web/mobile application access indexes leading expressway entry traffic volumes on expressways, and the highest correlation was observed between webpage view/visitor/new visitor/repeat visitor/application execution counts and expressway entry volume with a lag of one hour. It is expected that specific individual travel behavior can be predicted such as route conversion time and ratio if the data are subdivided by time periods and areas and utilizing traffic information users' location.

Performance Improvement of Web Browsers for Mobile Phones (저사양 휴대 단말 환경에서 웹브라우저의 성능 개선 방안)

  • 최근 무선 인터넷 서비스의 활성화와 함께 모바일 환경에서 브라우저의 사용이 급증하고 있으며, 모바일 사용자들은 PC 수준의 품질을 요구하고 있다. 이에 따라 모바일 웹브라우저도 WAP 방식이 아닌 풀브라우징(full browsing) 방식으로 전환되고 있다. 하지만, 모바일 단말 환경에서 웹브라우저의 성능에는 많은 제약사항이 존재하며, 부족한 메모리, 저 사양의 CPU, 낮은 네트워크 속도, 그리고 브라우저의 엔진 문제 등으로 인해 여전히 사용자들의 브라우저 로딩에 대한 체감 속도는 낮은 편이다. 본 논문에서는 저사양 휴대 단말 환경에서의 브라우저 로딩 속도를 개선할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다. 제안 방식에서는 텍스트와 이미지 등 데이터 타입을 분류하여 부하가 적게 걸리는 텍스트 레이아웃을 먼저 보여줌으로써 사용자의 체감속도를 향상시키고, 아울러 이미지가 커서 렌더링(rendering) 시간이 오래 걸리는 경우 이미지를 축소하거나 화질을 낮추는 방식으로 렌더링 부하를 줄여서 페이지 로딩 시간을 단축시키는 방법을 사용한다. 실험 결과, 제안 기법을 사용하는 경우 현재 사용하는 방법에 비해 이미지가 적은 Web 페이지의 경우 1st drawing 77.04%, full drawing 5.47%, 이미지가 많은 페이지의 경우 26.32%의 로딩 시간을 단축시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다.

Analyzing Effectiveness of the Web Application Development in Smartphone (스마트폰상에서의 웹 응용프로그램 개발 효율성 분석)

  • Due to the widespread smartphones and application stores, mobile application developments are now booming again in the same manner of PC history. The smartphone software development process, however, gives much inconvenience to developers because of the heterogeneous platform APIs and hardware incompatibility between different devices. To make clear these problems, mobile web applications are being accepted as an alternative to the native smartphone applications. Mobile web applications can be developed more simply and easily than native applications by using webkit engine's html, Java script, and CSS. Additionally developers can provide a platform-independent applications since web applications are going to run on web browsers. In this paper, we develop a personal applications store running on an android phone's browsers. We can accomplish this very simply by using webkit's various APIs such as OpenID. We can find out by implementing a real web application that development of web applications can surpass the native one in cost and time period without much loss of performance.

스마트 서비스 구현을 위한 개방형 전자정부 모바일 표준프레임워크

  • 스마트폰이 본격적으로 도입 활용되면서 서비스가 특정 플랫폼이나 환경에 제한 되지 않도록 하는 서비스 접근성을 만족하는 것이 스마트 서비스 제공의 중요한 목표가 되었다. 또한, 개발자들이 복잡한 앱 기술 보다 HTML5등 기존 웹 개발 기술을 활용하고 네이트브 앱에서 제공하던 단말 기능을 웹 기술로 사용 가능하도록 제공하는 기술이 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 전자정부 모바일 표준프레임워크는 이러한 요구사항을 만족하기 위하여 AJAX 프레임워크와 하이브리드 앱 기반의 실행환경을 도입하였다. 또한, 개발자 편의성을 위한 개발환경, 재사용성 증대를 위한 공통컴포넌트, 가이드 프로그램을 제공한다. 모바일 전자정부 표준프레임워크는 여러 공공서비스에 활용 되어 왔으며, 공공정보화 분야와 민간 기업 환경에서 핵심적인 기반 플랫폼 역할을 수행하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 모바일 표준프레임워크에서 활용된 기반 기술, 적용 아키텍처 및 주요기능, 활용사례에 대해서 소개하고자 한다.
