Performance Study of Diagonally Segmented Piezoelectric Vibration Energy Harvester (대각선 방향으로 분할된 압전 진동 에너지 수확 장치의 성능 연구)

  • This study proposes a piezoelectric vibration energy harvester composed of two diagonally segmented energy harvesting units. An auxiliary structural unit is attached to the tip of a host structural unit cantilevered to a vibrating base, where the two components have beam axes in opposite directions from each other and matched short-circuit resonant frequencies. Contrary to the usual observations in two resonant frequency-matched structures, the proposed structure shows little eigenfrequency separation and yields a mode sequence change between the first two modes. These lead to maximum power generation around a specific frequency. By using commercial finite element software, it is shown that the magnitude of the output power from the proposed vibration energy harvester can be substantially improved in comparison with those from conventional cantilevered energy harvesters with the same footprint area and magnitude of a tip mass.

An Efficient Hardware Design for Scaling and Transform Coefficients Decoding (스케일링과 변환계수 복호를 위한 효율적인 하드웨어 설계)

  • In this paper, an efficient hardware architecture is proposed for inverse transform and inverse quantization of H.264/AVC decoder. The previous inverse transform and quantization architecture has a different AC and DC coefficients decoding order. In the proposed architecture, IQ is achieved after IT regardless of the DC or AC coefficients. A common operation unit is also proposed to reduce the computational complexity of inverse quantization. Since division operation is included in the previous architecture, it will generate errors if the processing order is changed. In order to solve the problem, the division operation is achieved after IT to prevent errors in the proposed architecture. The architecture is implemented with 3-stage pipeline and a parallel vertical and horizontal IDCT is also implemented to reduce the operation cycle. As a result of analyzing the proposed ITIQ architecture operation cycle for one macroblock, the proposed one has improved by 45% than the previous one.

The Design and Implementation of Improved Anti-Collision Algorithm for Vehicle User Authentication System (차량 사용자 인증 시스템을 위한 향상된 충돌 방지 알고리즘의 설계 및 구현)

  • Because many of the FOB key, anti-collision algorithm for a seamless multi-access is applied to the smart-key system. In this paper, we have designed and implemented improved anti-collision algorithm that dramatically reduces the communication response time required in the user authentication process immediately after by dynamically changing the order in which the request of the user ID as the user ID on immediately before in the smart key system for vehicles that use many of the FOB key. In order to evaluate the performance of the system the improved anti-collision algorithm is applied, we show the behavior of the algorithm implemented in the state actually mounted on the vehicle and verify that communication response time required for many of the FOB key was reduced by about 33% compared to existing algorithms.
