A User Interface Designing Guideline for Shipboard Integration Monitoring (선박 통합 모니터링을 위한 사용자 인터페이스 설계 가이드라인)

  • During the last 5 years, maritime safety navigation with IT has been a big issue. After the International Maritime Organization defines the e-Navigation strategy, various information on board can be integrated by their needs and aims. Especially, on-board information monitoring might use the single integrated display under consideration of user convenience. To do this, this paper suggests a user interface design guideline based on definition and analysis of the integration requirements and the existing commercial product.

  • 구조물 계측 및 유지관리에 포함되는 계측센서, 계측장비, 전산장비, 통신장비, 소프트웨어 등은 구조물 수명에 비해 비교적 짧은 내구수명을 가지기 때문에 공용 기간 중 지속적으로 교체/변경이 요구되고 있으며, 소프트웨어 또한 분석기술의 향상과 정보통신기술의 발전 등을 계속해서 반영해야 하므로 일정기간마다 모니터링시스템에 대한 업그레이드 작업이 요구되고 있다. 그러나, 기존에 개발된 시스템은 구조물 관리자에 의한 일부 하드웨어와 분석 알고리즘의 변경이나 업그레이드가 쉽지 않고 모니터링 시스템의 구축에 활용된 프로그램 내부구조 파악이 어려워 원 개발자의 지속적인 지원에 의존해야한다. 본 논문에서 제안된 모바일 클라우드 기반 구조물 유지관리계측 통합모니터링시스템에서는 구조계가 평상시나 특수한 상황에서 장 단기적으로 어떠한 거동을 보이고 있는지를 분석하고, 이를 토대로 향후의 거동이 어떻게 될지 예측하기 위해서 확률과 통계기법의 적용을 통해서 구할 수 있는 새로운 데이터 분석 기법을 적용하였으며, 모바일 클라우드 기반으로 데이터를 수집하고, 많은 데이터 양 및 데이터 신뢰도 수준에서 건전성평가를 할 수 있는 새로운 개념의 구조물 거동계측 통합모니터링시스템 설계로 기존의 단점을 해결할 수 있도록 개선하였다.

  • In this paper, we propose the Agricultural Environment Monitoring System based on Sensor Network which can collect information of crop cultivation environment and monitor it in real-time by using various environment sensors. Existing wireless sensor nodes, based on the sensor network, require extra conversion/control module depending on the characteristics. To solve this problem, we developed an integrated sensor module which can integrate various kinds of sensors used to obtain the necessary information for the area under crop cultivation. In addition, we developed sensor networks monitoring system which is suitable for an integrated sensor module. To verify the operating status of the proposed system, an integrated sensor node is installed in the test environment so that it can sense information of the environment and monitor it in real-time.

  • In this paper, an educational simulator of automobile chassis electronic control system was developed. The developed system is composed of three parts, a driving condition control & monitoring system, a chassis electronic system monitoring & analysis system, and a virtual simulator & educational multimedia contents. The driving condition control & monitoring system has a commercial real car simulator, hydraulic equipments for representing driving conditions, and a remote control and monitoring system. In the chassis electronic system monitoring & analysis system, information of various sensors and actuators applied to the system can be monitored by Labview programs. Finally, the suggested virtual simulator and the multimedia with 2D Flash and 3D animations can be used effectively by means of teaching materials.

  • To improve the data on reliability of the onshore fish farm water quality monitoring system and operate the system efficiently, the water quality data of the onshore seawater fish farms which are progressing test operation, and the marine environmental information network(Wando tidal station) were compared and analyzed. Furthermore, data validation, data range filters, and data displacement checks were applied to analyze the data in a way that eliminates the data errors in water quality monitoring systems and increases the reliability of measurement data.

  • The Unattended fire detection system using a wireless communication device is designed in this paper. If a fire occurs in some area, the system can detect and automatically extinguish the fire. The major functions for the system are: Unattended detection system for fire based on wireless communication system and Automatic extinguish device system; Thermal imaging camera and video camera system; Monitoring viewer and map viewer system.

  • 좁은지역에 대한 지형정보의 획득은 저고도 UAV시스템을 이용하는 것이 경제적이다. 최근 자동항법 UAV의 발전은 저고도 고해상도 영상을 원하는 주기로 얻을 수 있어 많은 분야에 응용하고 있다. 이러한 UAV시스템은 지상관제센터와 비행체 간의 긴밀한 통신이 이루어져야 하며 촬영 중 영상의 획득 여부를 모니터링할 수 있어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 NASA가 개발한 Worldwind를 커스터마이징하여 실시간 영상획득 모니터링 s/w를 개발하였다. 또한 개발시스템을 이용하여 정사영상 모자익을 실시하였으며 이에대한 정확도 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 검사점에 대해 정사모자익영상의 수평위치 정확도를 분석한 결과 X좌표에서 평균 0.181m, Y좌표에서 평균 0.203m의 편차를 보임으로써 1:1,000~5,000축척의 수치지도제작이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

  • When a PC is infected with a malicious code, it communicates with the control and command (C&C) server and, by the attacker's instructions, spreads to the internal network and acquires information. The company focuses on preventing attacks from the outside in advance, but malicious codes aiming at APT attacks are infiltrated into the inside somehow. In order to prevent the spread of the damage, it is necessary to perform internal monitoring to detect a PC that is infected with malicious code and attempts to communicate with the C&C server. In this paper, a destination IP monitoring method is proposed in this paper using Bloom filter to quickly and effectively check whether the destination IP of many packets is in the blacklist.

  • The BBS of Web Site is a space of informational communication to share information. At the moment, countless information is shared through various kinds of BBS. The shared information through the Web BBS can be gains to someone and losses to the other. Thus, for a long time, there have been many researches about technologies, which monitor information uploaded to Web BBS in real-time and inform the results to subjects. For BBS monitoring, existing methods have utilized direct approaches to DB or open API. Also, e-mail addresses have been utilized to inform results to subjects. However, there are two main problems for these methods. The one is a problem on closed BBS, which cannot be accessed, and the other is impossibility of supporting real-time alarm to e-mail. Especially, the real-time support for services, such as monitoring, is extremely important, since the main purpose of monitoring is based on the counter action for the result. The mobile Web has a merit to be accessed in anywhere, so that it is quite suitable for services requiring real-time support. However, the real-time support of mobile device has not been utilized enough, because each mobile phone has different standards of contents so that the contents should be pre-created. This paper suggests a technology that overcomes pitfalls of mobile Web while it is out of standard, and shows how the effect can be maximized through services such as monitoring, which requires the real-time support.

Effectiveness of Self-Monitoring on User Experience about Website (웹사이트 사용자 경험 평가에 대한 자기모니터링의 영향)

  • The following research analyzes that the level of self-monitoring have an influence on user experience about website. For this research, university students participated in a survey where they evaluated user experience -usability, aesthetics, pleasure- about the new screen images of two homepages of differences in brand recognizability. The "self-monitoring(high/low, except for middle)" and the "brand recognizability(high/low, except for middle)" were set as independent variables and the "usability | deviation |", the "aesthetics | deviation |", the "pleasure | deviation |" were set as the dependent variables. Results, as with new screen images of homepage, there were significant differences in the usability and aesthetics based on the level in self-monitoring. Especially, when level of brand recognizability is low, there was more differences in the usability and aesthetics based on the level in self-monitoring. However, the influence of pleasure on self-monitoring was insignificant.
