경기도 화성시에 위치한 명동목장(목장주 최예용 서미선)은 '소가 편안한 목장'으로 불린다. 번식관리와 사양관리에 철저를 기한 덕분에 3년 만에 60두에서 120여 두(착유우 60여 두, 육성우 40여 두 등)로 사육두수도 크게 늘었으며, 체세포 1등급을 지속적으로 유지하고 있다는 명동목장의 운영비결을 들어보았다.

Korean bell is hung with some air gap between the bell bottom and the ground. In addition, it has a peculiar acoustic element, so called resonance cavity below the bell. A proper design of the air gap and cavity size dramatically amplifies the bell sound by resonance effect. Bell interior cavity, air gap and resonance cavity consist of an acoustic cavity system. When the acoustic cavity frequency coincides with the natural frequency of the bell body, the frequency component is significantly amplified. On the Sacred Bell of the Great King Seongdeok, this study proposes a resonance condition of the cavity system considering air gap effect for the first time. With the exact dimension of the bell, boundary element analysis is performed using SYSNOISE. Finally, this study reveals how the temperature in season influences the resonance condition and proposes a concept of variable type resonance cavity. By using the variable type resonance cavity, the cavity size is controlled on site and exact resonance is available regardless of temperature difference in season.

This study proposes a design model of the variable type resonator which corrects the temperature variance according to the season, in order to maximize the resonance effect in the Sacred bell of the Great King Seongdeok. In the bell, the 1st natural frequency (64 Hz) and the 2nd natural frequency (168 Hz) are the most important partial tones. Resonance conditions of the two components are determined for the internal acoustic cavity system, which consists of bell body cavity, gap and the resonator. Acoustic frequency response characteristics of the internal cavity are determined by the boundary element analysis using SYSNOISE. As an external factor, temperature variance according to the season largely influences the resonance condition and the length of the resonator should be controlled to maximize the resonance effect. As a measure, this study proposes a design model of the variable type resonator for the Sacred Bell of the Great King Seongdeok, which can control the length at the belfry according to the season.

After 1970-80's rapid economic and urban development, nowadays the old downtown suffers from the deterioration of physical environment, outflow of its function and cavitation of population. And this phenomenon makes urban regeneration as a new paradigm in urban development. This is the case of Myeongdong area (Jungang-dong, Monsung-dong), old downtown of Cheonan around rail station, in the same way. City government has tried many regeneration/ redevelopment projects on this area but all failed due to lack of feasibility. This study intends to suggest new viable strategic regeneration scheme of this area through research and analysis of TOD development, existing condition and problems. As a result, the area needs to be considered as a node that links bus terminal complex and central market place with walkable street. For regeneration of this area, a strategic development scheme of this area is suggested deploying private capital invested rail station, underground shopping mall, transfer center, culture complex and nature park with Myeongdong street mall.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the change of spacial structure from rural space to urban space and to examine the characteristic of spacial restructure, focusing on the Hwamyeong-Dong of Buk-gu in Busan. Hwamyeong-Dong has changed from rural area to urban area because of spacial expansion owing to industrialization and urbanization. The unique natural environment, rural village, etc. were disappeared and instead the apartment complex, commercial building, and so on were built. For this reason, historic and concrete place were vanished and so the spacial homogenization and uniformization were formed centering around apartment complex. But the singularity of Hwamyeong-Dong exposes in the way that unique history, custom and memory, trace of Hwamyeong-Dong preserved through the support and effort of the residents and that the Daechen stream changed to ecological stream. In addition, Hwamyeong-Dong altered heterogeneous, multi-layered urban space from homogeneous rural space in terms of the apartment supply sectors and scale, the distribution and kind of commercial facility, residents's composition. This has brought about the subdivision, hierarchization of the space as well as the residence, education, culture. Especially, Hwamyeong3-Dong that built to large scale apartment complex are significantly different from Hwamyeong2-Dong. Hwamyeong2-Dong is marginalizing step by step. However, It is found that the residents in Hwamyeong2-Dong are making an effort for liveable place with ecological residential community and educational cultural community as the center.
