Analysis of the Change in the Area of Haeundae Beach Based on Wave Characteristics (파랑특성을 고려한 해운대 해수욕장의 해빈면적 변화에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, we determined the correlation between the wave characteristics and the change in the area of Haeundae Beach, conducted regression analysis between the wave characteristics and the change in beach area, and derived a formula for calculating the change in beach area. The change in beach area was calculated by applying the derived formula to wave observation data corresponding to a period of approximately 10 months, and the formula was subsequently validated by comparing the obtained results with the observed area. It is found that the error associated with the formula for calculating the change in beach area ranges from 1.5 m to 2.7 m based on the average beach width, and the correlation coefficient corresponding to the observed area ranges from 0.91 to 0.94. Furthermore, it is observed that the change in beach area is af ected by the wave direction in the western zone, wave height in the central zone, and wave height and wave period in the eastern zone. These results can contribute to understanding the impact of a coastal improvement project on the beach area fluctuation characteristics of Haeundae Beach and the ef ectiveness of such a coastal improvement project. By applying the aforementioned derived formula to highly accurate wave prediction data, the change in beach area can be calculated and incorporated for predicting significant long-term changes in beach areas. Furthermore, such a prediction can be considered as the basis for making decisions while establishing preemptive countermeasure policies to prevent coastal erosion.

Strength Optimization of Ventilating Container(I)-Experimental Analysis (통기성 상자 구조물의 강도적 최적화 연구(I)-실증 분석)

  • The design criteria of ventilating container is not provided yet in Korea. This caused strength reduction due to the ventilating hole and bad ventilating performance. The purposes of this study were to survey the present situation of ventilating container in Korea, to analyze the strength reduction on the atmosphere condition variation, and to provide the criteria for the optimum design of ventilating container. The ventilating area of container was $1.41{\sim}2.65%$, and strength reduction due to the varied pattern, size and location of ventilating hole was $8.5{\sim}20.2%$. The effect on the strength reduction from the pattern and location of ventilating hole was bigger than that from the ventilating area. Equilibrium arrival time of temperature and relative humidity was shorter as the ventilating area was bigger, and temperature reached to the equilibrium state earlier than the relative humidity. There was no significant difference on the ventilating hole pattern between equilibrium arrival time of temperature and relative humidity and equilibrium arrival temperature and relative humidity if the ventilating area was the same.

  • The revision of regulations for apartment unit design, which are concerning the area calculating criteria (revised in 1998) and use of balcony (revised in 2005), considerably have increased livable space of apartment unit. This paper aims to verify its effect to apartment unit plan in the aspect of number of rooms and size of each room. For this purpose, 60 and 85 $m^2$ sized apartment unit plans in Seoul Gangnam district have been analysed by construction period, and a conclusion is drawn out as following; (1) The revison of regulations in 1998 and 2005 increased livable space of 60 and 85 $m^2$ sized apartment about 16.4~20.6 $m^2$ area. (2) Bedrooms, living room, dining room and kitchen have no change in size in nominal sense, actually, they increase their size after the fact by converting balcony to livable space. (3) Bathroom, dress room and entrance space have been considerably increased in size, which is possible for available area added in place of wall footprint according to 1998 revision.

An Analysis on the Characteristics of Site Planning and Size of Newly-Built Elementary Schools in Sejong City (세종시 신설 초등학교의 학교규모와 배치특성 분석)

  • This study compared 24 newly-built elementary schools in Sejong City regarding the size of the site and school, as well as the outdoor space to improve the site and space programming in school planning. Among the others, one result indicates that the overall number of classes in a school should be reduced to 48, including the affiliated kindergarten, instead of the present number of 50. In addition, the number of classes must be counted in lieu of the number of student by classifying the size of school. In light of the present mean ratio of school building area per site in the city of 24.6%, which is much higher than other comparable city schools, the ratio should be about 20.0% by increasing the sports facility and outdoor spaces. In addition, the deprivation of the area caused by the district-unit-plan and the irregularity of the place should also be considered when determining the size of a school and site.

Estimation of Storm-centered ARF in the Context of Temporal and Spatial Scale Characteristics of Storm Events (강우 사상의 시·공간적 규모 특성을 반영한 호우중심형 ARF 산정)

  • 설계홍수량 산정 시 지점확률강우량을 대상유역 내 면적강우량으로 환산하기 위하여 면적우량 환산계수(areal reduction factor, ARF)를 적용한다. ARF 산정방법은 크게 면적고정형 방법과 호우중심형 방법으로 나뉜다. 면적고정형 방법은 현재 국내 하천설계기준에서 설계강우량 산정 시 활용하고 있는 방법이지만, 동 시간에 발생한 강우사상을 활용하지 않고 지점강우량과 면적강우량의 독립적인 빈도해석을 통해 산정되므로 비현실적인 값이라고 볼 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 강우사상의 공간분포 특성을 효과적으로 반영할 수 있는 레이더 강우 자료를 활용하여 한강권역의 호우중심형 ARF를 활용하였다. 호우중심형 ARF는 지속기간 1, 3, 6, 12, 24시간에 대하여 산정하였으며, 재현기간은 강우 사상의 규모에 따라 총 다섯 구간(0-10, 10-20, 20-50, 50-80, 80-100년)으로 분류하였다. 지속기간 및 재현기간에 따른 호우중심형 ARF는 강우 사상마다 산정되므로 다양한 값이 산재(scattered)되어 있는데, 대푯값을 선정하기 위하여 Weibull 분포의 비초과확률 95%의 값을 추출하였다. 두 가지 방법으로 산정된 ARF는 지속기간에 대하여 로그형태로 증가하였으나, 재현기간에 따른 관계에서는 차이를 보였다. 면적고정형 ARF는 재현기간에 대한 민감도가 매우 낮았으나, 호우중심형 ARF는 재현기간에 따라 감소하였다. 또한 호우중심형 ARF는 지속시간이 길수록 재현기간에 대한 민감도가 점차 낮아졌으며 지속기간 24시간 이후로는 일정한 값을 보였다. 이러한 차이는 레이더 실 강우를 활용한 호우중심형 ARF 산정 시에 면적고정형 ARF 산정과정에서 고려되지 않는 강우의 시 공간적 특성을 반영하기 때문인 것으로 사료된다. 따라서 설계홍수량 산정 시 호우중심형 ARF를 적용한다면 보다 현실적인 값을 제시할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • 기후변화로 인한 홍수패턴 변화로 인해 침수피해 발생 빈도가 증가하고 있다. 특히 2020년에는 기록적인 장기간 폭우로 인해 댐 하류 지역의 수몰피해가 발생한 바 있다. 예상을 벗어난 이상 홍수 발생 시 댐 방류로 인한 하류 지역 피해예측 및 주민 안전을 위해 침수범위를 예측하고 대응하는 것이 필요하다. 남강댐은 인공방수로 운영을 통해 홍수량을 가화천과 분담하는 운영방식을 이용하고 있으나 댐 직하류에는 진주시가 위치하여 홍수방류에 따른 지역 침수구간을 예측하는 것이 중요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 재현기간 별 남강댐 홍수 방류량에 대해 남강댐하류~낙동강 합류부 구간의 홍수위 변화 분석 및 침수면적 계산을 수행했다. HEC-RAS를 이용한 남강 본류 수리해석을 위해 2013년 하천기본계획 단면을 이용하였으며, HEC-geoRAS를 이용한 침수면적 계산을 위해 2020년 수치지형도를 이용했다. HEC-RAS 모의를 위한 상류 경계조건은 남강댐 홍수 방류량을 적용하였으며, 하류 경계조건은 빈도 별 홍수위를 적용한 정상상태 모의를 수행했다. 빈도 별 남강댐 홍수 방류량은 남강댐 상류로 유입되는 빈도 별 홍수량에서 남강댐 저류 가능 홍수량을 제외한 유량을 방류하는 시나리오를 가정하여 결정했다. 50년, 80년, 100년, 200년 빈도 홍수량에 대한 홍수위 모의 결과, 우안 지역은 제방고를 초과하는 홍수위가 발생하지 않은 반면 좌안에서는 농경지를 중심으로 하천범람이 발생했다. 특히 80년 빈도 이상 홍수량에 대해 범람지점이 50년 빈도 홍수량에 비해 2배 이상 증가했다. 또한 침수면적을 계산한 결과, 만곡부와 지류 합류부 주변에서 주로 침수가 발생함을 확인할 수 있었다. 빈도 별 침수면적을 비교해보면 50년 빈도의 침수면적을 기준으로 80년, 100년, 200년 빈도에서 각각 9.4%, 18.7%, 53.1% 증가한 침수면적을 나타냈다.

A Study on Evaluation of Target Region for the Agricultural Non-point Sources Management (새만금 유역 농업비점오염원 관리를 위한 우선지구 선정연구)

  • Measures against non-point sources pollution in Saemangeum watershed should be established to control water quality of Saemangeum lake, because non-point sources pollution discharge portions of BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand) and TP (Total Phosphorous) in the watershed were 68.4 and 61.4%, respectively. In this study, target regions for the non-point sources pollution control were selected to apply BMP (Best Management Practices) for the agricultural area of Saemanguem watershed in terms of TP that caused eutrophication at the lake. Target regions were selected by the NPSI (Non-point source index) that was calculated by the total 12 indexes at the steps of non-point source production, emission and outflow. Weights of the indexes were determined by the watershed management experts oriented AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) analysis. The target region was selected at the unit of Korean basic administrative district 'Dong/Li'. At the results of NPSI calculations through the GIS (Geographical Information System) tools, two sets of 5 regions were selected in the Man-kyung River and Dong-gin River. The main reason for the selected target regions was livestock activity in the district. The results of this study can be useful for implementing the reduction projects of agricultural non-point sources pollution to control water quality in Saemangeum lake.

Dose Reduction According to the Exposure Condition in Intervention Procedure : Focus on the Change of Dose Area and Image Quality (인터벤션 시 방사선조사 조건에 따른 선량감소 : 면적선량과 영상화질 변화를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest a method to reduce the dose by Analyzing the dose area product (DAP) and image quality according to the change of tube current using NEMA Phantom. The spatial resolution and low contrast resolution were used as evaluation criteria in addition to signal to noise ratio (SNR) and contrast to noise ratio (CNR), which are important image quality parameters of intervention. Tube voltage was fixed at 80 kVp and the amount of tube current was changed to 20, 30, 40, and 50 mAs, and the dose area product and image quality were compared and analyzed. As a result, the dose area product increased from $1066mGycm^2$ to $6160mGycm^2$ to 6 times as the condition increased, while the spatial resolution and low contrast resolution were higher than 20 mAs and 30 mAs, Spatial resolution and low contrast resolution were observed below the evaluation criteria. In addition, the SNR and CNR increased up to 30 mAs, slightly increased at 40 mAs, but not significantly different from the previous one, and decreased at 50 mAs. As a result, the exposure dose significantly increased due to overexposure of the test conditions and the image quality deteriorated in all areas of spatial resolution, low contrast resolution, SNR and CNR.

A Study on Optimum Tree Planting Density for Apartment Complex (아파트단지 조경수 적정식재밀도 연구)

  • This study was conducted to investigate optimum planting density for apartment complex. The validity of Landscape Architecture Criteria of Korea was checked for it. We compared our field data with Landscape Architecture Criteria. In this step, the tree density of urban forest was regarded as standard. Field study was examined in 3 apartment complexes located in capital area, especially completed during these 10 years. 10 sites in each complex were selected and tree density per unit area were calculated. This field study data was divided standard size and large size which received weight. And, it was compared and analyzed. And crown projected area(CPA) was calculated considering proper growth of low vegetation and sufficient shade. The outcome shows that minimum size of Landscape Architecture Criteria is rational. But, in the case of planting large size tree received weight, tree density was short comparing with the tree density of urban forest and CPA was less than 50%. By the result of field study in 3 apartment complex, the tree density of apartment complex satisfied or exceeded Landscape Architecture Criteria. But, in the case of planting large size tree, tree density and CPA show high density due to addition planting for deficient landscape. Therefore, the revision of the Landscape Architecture Criteria was required such as deletion or minimization of the weighted clause about the large size tree and regulate the limit CPA not less than 50% and not more than 100%.

A Study on the Energy-saving Variation by the Reduction of Insulation Boundary in Mixed-use Building (주상복합건물에서 단열 경계구역 축소에 따른 에너지 절감량 변화에 관한 연구)

  • Due to the global warming and energy exhaustion, energy efficiency improvement of construction is recognized the stream of times. To improve the efficiency of the building, in order to energy saving, passive elements should be applied. Then the first step be supposed that applying the new standards about the insulation boundary. The current insulation boundary standards are not reasonable as well as does not divide the purposes. As a result, energy is being wasted and many civil complaints are also occurred. To improve these problems, applying the insulation boundary need to divide the heating and non-heating and subdivide the purpose of construction. In this study, accurate real heating and air conditioning areas are presented that work on the new insulation boundary of purposes and applicable standards. This proposed, by the real heating and air conditioning areas, insulation boundary of purposes, matching the reasonable capacity and load of equipment, by working on standards by optimal maintenance can be energy saving, to present guidelines that environment improvement of actual residents as well as energy saving be expected.
