The Stakeholder Interview of Participatory Digital Archives for Social Memory (사회적 기억을 위한 참여형 디지털 아카이브 이해관계자 면담 연구)

  • This study discusses the theoretical analysis of the concept of social memory and participatory digital archives, and argues the various problems of participatory digital archives based on the analysis of individual experiences and perceptions through interviews with stakeholders including users and operators. As a theoretical study, it analyzes related precedent studies and explores the complementary concepts of social memory and participatory digital archives. Based on the discussion, the study understands social memory as a defined and generated memory through the interaction of the social environment encompassing politics, socio-culture and the internal relations of the community. Furthermore, it understands the participatory digital archive as a digital space in which the community, the voluntary participation of users, and the support of professional groups intertwine. The memories and records of this interaction are then stored, preserved, shared, spread, and reproduced. Through stakeholder interviews, the study analyzes the perceptions of users and operators regarding participation, policy, and service, and identified the various problems with participatory digital archives.

  • 교육학의 질적 연구는 문헌 연구, 면담 연구, 비참여 관찰 연구, 참여 관찰 연구로 분류한다. 문헌연구에는 내용분석, 철학적 연구, 역사학적 연구, 문학적 비평이 들어가고, 면담연구에는 구술사, 전기, 탐문(探問) 저널리즘 등이 포함되고, 비참여 관찰연구에는 전문적 감정(鑑定), 인간의 종적 특성 연구, 관찰자 연구, 비개입적 행동 연구 등이 포함된다. 마지막으로 참여 관찰연구는 일반적 현장연구, 문화 기술적 연구가 포함된다. 질적 연구는 사람, 사물, 현상의 범주화나 수량화가 가해지기 이전의 상태, 즉 '있는 그대로'의 상태에 최대한 접근하는 방법으로써, 고정관념을 깨고 기존의 이론을 최대한 유보한 채 연구에 임하는 것으로 최근에 발달한 인문사회과학적 연구방법이다. 질적 인식이 자연언어에 주로 의존하는 데 비해 양적 인식은 인공언어에 많이 의존한다. 수식과 도형, 부호등은 대표적인 인공언어이다. 모든 사물이 질과 양의 속성을 다 가지고 있듯이 모든 연구는 질적 과정과 양적 과정을 다 포함하고 있다. 질적이냐, 양적이냐 하는 구분은 연구방법론의 문제인데 연구방법론은 연구논리와 연구기법을 포함한다. 본 연구는 인공언어인 수와 식에만 익숙한 수학교육에서, 질적 연구가 왜 필요한지, 어떤 특성이 있는지 논의함으로써 수학교육의 새로운 방법론을 제시하고자 한다.

A Study on the Communication between User and Librarian in the Digital Reference Services (전자 정보서비스 환경에서의 이용자 - 정보사서간의 커뮤니케이션에 관한 연구)

  • Examine the communication between user and librarian in the digital reference services and discuss the limitations and possibilities in the quality of reference interview. Along with a comparison of traditional vs. electronic reference interview, 26 digital reference services in academic libraries were investigated. Some strategies were suggested to improve the quality of user-librarian communication in the process of accessing the service, of question negotiation and of responding to the questions.

Psychological experiences of homicide victims' families: A phenomenological study (살인사건 피해 유가족의 심리적 경험에 대한 현상학적 연구)

  • This study explored the psychological experiences of surviving family members of homicide victims. Nine family members of homicide victims, who could verbalize their experiences and agree to participate, were interviewed. The time between the interview and the homicide ranged from 6 months to 4 years, and all the homicide offenders were convicted prior to the study. The interview data were analyzed to identify meanings and themes using Colaizzi's method. Results showed that 472 meaningful phrases and sentences were extracted, which were subsequently organized into 48 formulated meanings, 24 clusters of themes, 16 emergent themes, and 6 categories. The six categories were related to the homicide victim, the participant, the family members, other people/the world, the offender/the offender's family, and realistic difficulties. For each category participants' experiences were described in detail. Finally, implications and limitations of this study were discussed.

Exploring the Meaning of Teaching Experience of Middle School Physical Education Teachers (중학교 체육교사의 교직 경험 의미 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the meaning of the teaching experience of middle school physical education teachers, listening to in-depth statements related to teaching experience based on the physical education teacher's teaching identity, and analyzing the meaningful content and meaning structure found therein. The study participants were four current middle school physical education teachers. The research method used Colaizzi's phenomenological method to analyze the meaning structure through in-depth interviews with research participants, group interviews, additional interviews, and field records. In order to solve the research questions, the interviews were conducted as semi-structured interviews, and the individual interviews were terminated when there were no more duplicate cases or similar phenomena related to teaching experience. As a result of the study, the meaning of experience was constructed based on narrative statements through interviews with research participants, and a collection of 2 items, 6 categories, and 12 themes were extracted by exploring concepts from the constructed meaning. The reasons for going into the teaching profession were categorized into 'motivation' and 'beliefs', and the meaning of teaching experience was categorized into 'mission', 'relationships', 'exhaustion', and 'overcoming'. In conclusion, although the research participants faced numerous difficulties, they experienced challenges and recovery by pursuing the joy and value of sharing within the school community.

A Research for Revising the Korean Archives Law with Interviews (공공기록물 관리에 관한 법령 개정을 위한 면담 연구)

  • This study aims to identify issues with regard to practicing the current Korean Archives Law and, by doing so, to boost a community-wide discussion for revising it. Five researchers collaboratively interviewed five groups of stake-holders. Each group was consisted of practitioners in central government agencies, provincial governments, and educational district offices, as well as instructors of archival education programs. To uncover diverse issues from various perspectives, the interview was initiated by a common question: "Do you have any idea in terms of revising the current law?" After all interview sessions were completed, the researchers discussed among themselves and established a framework for analysis. The study is expected to provide a starting point for the Korean archival community to reinvent the law so that the archival culture and practice in Korea could open a new era.

The results of this study is as follow: An economic needs must development of home shopping system, home banking system and telecommuting system. A medical needs must development of medical support system, medical information system and telemedical support system. A house needs must development of home automatic system, internet system. A culture needs must development of event system, leisure information system. A traffic needs must development of automatic traffic geographical system, automatic operating system. An education needs must development of teleeducation system, knowledge studying support system.

The effects on academic of self-directed learning and in-depth interviewing program in engineering underachieved students (자기주도학습과 심층면담 프로그램이 이공계 학습부진학생의 학업에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • The purposes of the study are to investigate the effects on academic of the self-directed learning and in-depth interviewing program in engineering underachieved students. 17 students participated in program and the grade points average(GPA) of participants are less than 2.5. First, we focus on the change of academic achievement after the self-directed learning and in-depth interviewing program. According to results, it is very effective not only in improving academic achievement of the participation subject but also in increasing GPA. Second, the pre-survey and the post-survey were conducted to the participants. We found some facts from the difference between the pre and post surveys. The expectation and satisfaction about learning have improved after self-directed learning, and the participants' recognition showed the meaningful change in important factors about learning.

Effect on Motivational Interviewing for Patients with Impaired Fasting Glucose (동기강화면담이 공복혈당장애 환자의 건강증진생활양식, 행동변화단계, 당화혈색소값에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a motivational enhancement therapy(MET) for impaired fasting glucose(IFG) patients in early stages of health behavior change and evaluate its effects on health promotion lifestyle, the stages of change and HbAlc. Data was collected in Health Center of U city, December 2011 to March 2012, conducted on 78 IFG patients who visited to the Health center, they randomized to intervention group(n=27) and control group(n=33). The intervention group received the MET, the control group received standard care. This MET programe was applied from MET programe. After developing, it confirmed content validity. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, $x^2-test$ and t-test with the SPSS WIN 20.0 program. Participants in the intervention group reported significantly increased scores of the stage of change(t=-20.224, p=.000) compared to those of the control group but no difference of health behaviors(t=-1.297, p=.200) and HbAlc(t=.794, p=.431). The findings indicate that the MET is an effective intervention in improving ealth behaviors and expect to be applied effectively to the preparation for implementation of health care interventions.

A Study on the Improvement for Evaluation of Records Management Institutions in the District Offices of Education (교육지원청 기록관리 기관평가 개선방안에 관한 연구)

  • This study examined the problems of evaluating records management institutions of District Offices of Education (DOE) and conducted literature reviews, surveys, and in-depth interviews to suggest improvement measures. This study analyzed survey questions (response rate 52.8%) of records management officers in charge of records management in 176 DOE and in-depth interviews of records managers from 15 institutions who agreed to participate. Based on the analysis of the surveys and interviews, a further interview was conducted with a records manager responsible for records management institution evaluation at the National Archives of Korea (NAK). All of the results were aggregated to derive improvement measures in the areas of evaluation environment, agents of evaluation, and evaluation policy. The results of this study can be used as references to implement evaluations for records management institutions that reflect the characteristic of each institution type.
