물혼합에 의한 메탄-공기 예혼합기의 연소(4) - 연소가스분석- (Combustion in Methane-Air Pre-Mixture with Water Vapor -Burned Gas Analysis-)

  • Burned gas of methane-air mixtures with water vapor have been analysed to study the exhaust emission using gas-chromatography and computation. The computations were carried out for the gas analysis using premix code of Chemkin program to compare the experimental results. The quantity of water vapor contained were changed 5% and 10% of total mixtures, and equivalence ratio of mixtures between 0.6 and 1.2 were tested under the ambient temperature 323K and 373K. The results showed CO, $CO_2$ decreased and $H_2$ increased by increasing the water contents. The CO increased and $CO_2$ decreased by increasing the ambient temperature. The $CO_2$ shows the maximum product at equivalence ratio 1.0, in otherwise the $CH_4$ produced the minimum values in the same range. The results showed little difference between these two methods.

  • 이산화탄소를 첨가한 저 신장률 메탄-공기 대향류 확산화염에서 화염소화 거동과 에지화염 진동을 조사하기 위해 실험을 수행하였다. 화염소화 조건에서의 임계 몰분율을 속도비와 전체화염 신장률에 따라 분석하였다. 또한 에지화염 진동의 시작조건과 관련된 모드들을 전체화염 신장률에 따라 조사하였다. 화염길이는 측면방향 열손실과 밀접한 연관이 있으며, 측면방향 열손실은 화염소화와 에지화염 진동에 중대한 영향을 미친다. 에지화염의 진동 모드는 성장, 감쇠, 조화 세 가지로 분류된다.

  • 본 연구에서는 연소 불안정성의 능동적 제어를 위해 정상초음파장이 예혼합화염의 거동에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위한 실험 결과를 제시한다. 화염구조변이를 관찰하기 위해 슐리렌 기법을 이용하였으며, 초기압력 및 연소챔버 개폐 유무에 따라 화염선단의 형태 및 화염 전파속도를 고찰하였다. 정상초음파장에 의한 화염선단의 찌그러짐이 관찰되었고, 반사파와 정상초음파의 영향으로 연꽃모양의 화염(lotus flame)이 형성되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • An experimental study was performed to investigate the effects of partially premixing, varying the equivalence ratios from $1.36{\sim}{\infty}$, and swirlers with swirl numbers of 0, 0.28, 0.64, and 1.32, on the characteristic of radical ($OH^{\ast}$, $CH^{\ast}$, and $C_2^{\ast}$) and pollutant emission in partially premixed swirling flames. The signal from the electronically excited state of $OH^{\ast}$, $CH^{\ast}$, and $C_2^{\ast}$ was detected through a band pass filter with a photo multiplier tube, and flow fields images were detected through a schlieren system. The results demonstrated that the flame height decreases and jet spreading angle increase with increasing a swirl number. The more momentum ratio and swirl number increase, the more decrease flame height, and the generation of sooting flame is promoted.

  • Quenching phenomena is one of major concern in development of millimeter or sub-millimeter scale micro combustor for the size of the combustor is near extinction condition. In this work we focused on the effect of combustor wall condition that was parameterized by Perovskite LSC($La_{0.8}$$Sr_{0.2}$$CoO_3$) redox catalyst. The experiment was done by variable gap-width 2D wall equipment. The flame was produced by premixed methane-air jet issuing from millimeter-scale slot burner and it propagated through the narrow gap of the walls. By comparison of flame behaviour near catalyst-coated wall and simple glass wall, we investigated the effect of possible surface reaction on quenching phenomena. The flame between two plates was observed where the gap of the plates was reduced stepwise from 20mm to a distance of quenching occurrence. The two flames with and without surface modification were almost same by observation. But the gap for the occurrence of quenching was increased between catalyst-coated wall. So we concluded that surface reaction close to combustor wall has a negative effect on micro combustion.

에너지 순환시스템을 이용한 생태연못의 수질개선 (Wastewater Treatment Eco-pond by Using Energy Circulation System)

  • 본 연구는 자연생태하에서 지속가능한 태양에너지와 생태계작용에 의한 수질개선기법을 개발하기 위하여 생태연못을 설치하여 수질부하가 발생함에 따라 생태연못에 에너지를 순환시켜 생태적 수질정화 기능을 강화하는데 목적을 두었다. 본 연구에서 생태연못(Eco-Pond) 시스템의 수질개선 원리는 수중(유입수)의 침전, 유기산 생성, 메탄 발효, 호기성 산화, 광합성 산소배출 및 병원균 제거 등을 촉진시키기 위한 목적으로 축산농가 및 마을단위의 축산 및 생활하수 유입부에서 생태연못을 두어 수질을 개선하는 공법 즉, 산화조(Oxidation Pond)에 SolaBee 시스템을 결합한 모델을 제안하였다. 에너지 순환장치를 이용한 수질개선 방안으로는 태양열 연못 내에 물순환장치를 만들어 수체를 효율적으로 순환시키고 공기를 혼합시켜 부영양화가 진행되는 연못이 수질을 자연친화적으로 개선시키도록 하였다. 따라서 연구결과 태양에너지는 다른 자연에너지(풍력 등)에 비해서 에너지 밀도는 낮지만 지역의존성이 적고 그 양이 방대하여 21세기 중요한 에너지원으로 사용가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 제시된 에너지 순환구조를 가진 생태연못 시스템은 우리나라 중소규모의 농촌 및 축산농가에 보급 될 수 있는 수질개선 시스템이다.

  • GHG 및 대기오염물질 배출 규제는 고효율 및 친환경에 적합한 새로운 선박용 동력장치의 필요성을 제기하고 있다. 최근 이와 같은 문제들을 근본적으로 해결하기 위한 지속가능한 방법으로서 연료전지를 선박의 동력발생장치로 도입하고자 하는 검토가 진행되고 있다. 본 논문은 액체연료인 메탄올을 기반으로 한 고체산화물형 연료전지시스템의 성능 특성을 분석한 것으로 공기극 입구온도 일정의 조건에서 스택의 작동온도, 전류밀도, S/C, 수소연료 이용률의 영향을 시뮬레이션으로 검토하고 있으며, 그 결과를 기체연료인 메탄의 경우와 비교하고 있다.

좁은 채널 내부의 수직 혼합 경계층에 형성된 메탄-공기 에지-화염의 안정화 기초 실험 (A Fundamental Experiment on the Stabilization of a Methane-Air Edge Flame in a Cross-Flowing Mixing Layer in a Narrow Channel)

  • Flame stabilization characteristics were experimentally investigated in a fuel-air cross flowing mixing layer. A combustor consists of a narrow channel of air steam and a cross flowing fuel. Depending on the flow rates of methane and air, flame can be stabilized in two modes. First is an attached flame which is formulated at the backward step where the methane and air streams meet. Second is a lifted-flame which is formulated within the mixing layer far down steam from backward step. The heights and flame widths of the lifted flames were measured. Flame shapes of the lifted flames were similar to an ordinary edge flame or a tribrachial flame, and their behavior could be explained with the theories of an edge flame. With the increase of the mixing time between fuel and air, the fuel concentration gradient decreases and the flame propagation velocity increases. Thus the flame is stabilized where the flow velocity is matched to the flame propagation velocity in spite of a significant disturbance in the fuel mixing and heat loss within the channel. This study provides many experimental results for a higher fuel concentration gradient, and it can also be helpful for the development and application of a smaller combustor.

밀폐 연소실내의 메탄-공기 예혼합기의 연소 및 라디칼 특성에 관한 연구 (1) (A Study on the Characteristics of Methane-Air Premixture Combustion and Combustion Radicals (1))

  • To clarify the effects of equivalence ratio, initial pressure and temperature on the flame propagation and radicals characteristics, a series of the experimental study were conducted in a quiescent methane-air premixture using a constant volume chamber. The development of the flame was visualized following the start of ignition using high speed schlieren photo and radical images by intensified CCD camera. Combustion pressure and ion current were recorded simultaneously according to the experimental conditions which were equivalence ratio with 0.7 to 1.2, initial pressure with 0.08 MPa to 0.40 MPa and initial premixture temperature with 3l3.2K to 403.2K. The results showed that the flame speed by ion current and mass fraction burned by combustion pressure characterized the effects of flame propagation very well. And increased combustion duration due to lean combustion condition that was below equivalence ratio, 0.8 caused cycle variation and decreasing the power of engine.

메탄-공기 예혼합기에서의 층류 화염속도 및 화염두께 예측 (Prediction of Laminar Burning Velocity and Flame Thickness in Methane-Air Pre-Mixture)

  • The thickness of flame and preheat zone from burning velocity which was computed by using Premix code of Chemkin program for methane-air mixture. Also the thickness was evaluated from temperature profile which is also obtained from Premix code for the equivalence ratio of 0.5 to 1.6. The computations were carried out for the laminar flame thickness and burning velocity under the unburned gas temperature 0.5bat-30bar and temperature of 300K-700K at ${\Phi}=l.0$. Comparison of the results showed no difference between these two methods. The flame thickness was decreased by increasing the pressure and temperature, but, the affect of pressure is more significant than the effect of temperature on the flame thickness. The thickness of preheat zone was about 66.5% of the flame thickness, and flame thickness and burning velocity were also predicted by using empirical equation.
