A Study on Meta-Level Learning through Modeling Activities (모델링 활동을 통한 메타수준 학습에 대한 연구)

  • There have been many discussions of teaching and learning mathematics through modeling activities in mathematics education research community. Although there has been some agreement regarding modeling activity as an alternative way to support mathematics teaching and learning, there is still no clear consensus on these issues. This paper reports a case study which aims to identify ways to design modeling tasks and instruction to foster meta-level learning, and investigate how modeling activities can facilitate meta-level learning. From the results of teaching experiment, this study examines the potential of modeling activities in mathematics teaching and learning.

  • Students experience various affects in solving mathematical problem and learning mathematics. Focusing on meta-affect in affective domain, we explored the types of meta-affect. Our research provides illustrative examples and analysis of meta-affect during solving problem. As a result, meta-affect has four types i.e. monitoring of affect, evaluation of emotion, control of emotion, and utilization of affect. And meta-affect is a main key to decide how to handle affect and influence student's cognitive strategies and affect.

  • Daily life such as society, economy, and culture is fundamentally changing due to COVID-19, and digital transformation based on information technology (IT) such as artificial intelligence, data, and cloud is accelerating. In this study, we focused on the metaverse, which is based on the interaction between the virtual world and the real world, and explored the possibility of using the metaverse-based platform for education. The metaverse-based platform was approached from the perspective of the online education ecosystem, which means that not only online teaching and learning activities but also holistic educational activities such as learning, communication, and empathy are performed within the metaverse. In this metaverse platform, learners can feel the presence of learning, and learning motivation and immersion can be promoted. In addition, it is possible to experience self-directed learning based on the autonomy of spatial movement. Although there are technical and ethical limitations to applying the metaverse platform, it would be preferable to focus more on the interaction between learners in the metaverse world rather than high expectations.

A Meta-learning Approach for Building Multi-classifier Systems in a GA-based Inductive Learning Environment (유전 알고리즘 기반 귀납적 학습 환경에서 다중 분류기 시스템의 구축을 위한 메타 학습법)

  • The paper proposes a meta-learning approach for building multi-classifier systems in a GA-based inductive learning environment. In our meta-learning approach, a classifier consists of a general classifier and a meta-classifier. We obtain a meta-classifier from classification results of its general classifier by applying a learning algorithm to them. The role of the meta-classifier is to evaluate the classification result of its general classifier and decide whether to participate into a final decision-making process or not. The classification system draws a decision by combining classification results that are evaluated as correct ones by meta-classifiers. We present empirical results that evaluate the effect of our meta-learning approach on the performance of multi-classifier systems.

  • 본 논문에서는 블록체인 기반 DID기술을 이용하여 원격교육에서 발생하는 학습데이터를 효율적으로 관리하기 위한 방법으로, 학습데이터 가중치를 고려한 DID 메타데이터관리방법을 제안하였다. 메타데이터의 식별자에 대하여 특정위치로 데이터 가중치를 검색하도록 하고 해당 가중치에 따라 처리방법을 다양화 할 수 있다. 본문에서는 블록체인의 Zero Knowledge Proof 방식 처리에 차별화를 두어 메타데이터를 처리하였으며 데이터 처리속도 및 데이터관리에 효율성높일 수 있다.

Effects of Self-Determination Motivation to Learning Flow on in Self-Regulated Learning: Mediating Effect of Metacognition (자기조절학습 환경에서 자기결정성 학습동기가 학습몰입에 미치는 영향: 메타인지의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the self-determination motivation on learning flow by college nursing students and the mediation effects of metacognition. A sample of 145 subjects were recruited from two university in G city. And data were collected from Nov 21 to Nov 30, 2016. Data were analyzed using with SPSS 22.0. The factors affecting the learning flow were self-determination motivation, planing and monitoring of metacognition, sex and explanatory power was 66.3%. All of the metacognition factors had a partial mediating effect in the relationship between self-determination motivation and learning flow. This study is to provide basic data to develop the nursing education method to improve learning flow in the field where self regulated learning is increasing.

  • SCORM은 웹 환경에 존재하는 다양한 학습관리시스템 간에 표준화 된 컨텐츠 모델을 제시함으로써 학습 컨텐츠의 호환성을 보장하고 재사용성을 높이고자 하는 표준이다. 하지만 기존의 SCORM 기반학습관리시스템은 학습 리소스의 공유를 위한 기반은 제공하지만 학습 컨텐츠의 세부적인 학습 내용과 학습 문맥을 표현하고, 이를 공유할 수 있는 방안은 제시해 주지 못한다.본 논문에서는 지식 관리 기술인 시맨틱 웹의 RDF를 사용하여 학습 메타데이터를 표현하고, 이를 통합 관리할 수 있는 학습 메타 데이터 관리 서비스를 기존 학습관리시스템과 연동될 수 있는 모듈로서 제안한다. 또한 SCO에 포함될 수 있는 RDF기반 특징정보 파일을 정의하고, 저장된 학습 메타데이터를 SOAP 프로토콜을 통하여 외부 학습관리시스템과 공유할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다.이를 기반으로 교수자는 학습 주제와 관련된 컨텐츠를 검색하여 새로운 학습 컨텐츠를 제작 할 수 있으며, 학습자는 의미 기반 검색을 통하여 다양한 학습 컨텐츠와 능동적인 학습 환경을 체험 할 수 있다.

The Mediating Effects of Self-efficacy between Metacognition and Learning flow in College Students in Healthcare Field (보건의료분야 대학생들의 메타인지와 학습몰입 간의 관계에서 자기효능감의 매개효과)

  • The objective of this study was to verify the mediating effects of self-efficacy between metacognition and learning flow in college students in healthcare field. Participants were 300 college students. Self-administered questionnaire data were collected from November 21 to December 2, 2016. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients and hierarchical regression analysis with the SPSS/WIN 23.0 program. Results are as follows. Metacognition had positive effects on learning flow(${\beta}=.678$, p<.001). Self-efficacy had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between metacognition and learning flow. The findings of study showed that metacognition was very important for enhancing learning flow and self-efficacy influenced these relationship. This study suggested that it is important to develop and implement teaching and learning strategies with improved metacognition in healthcare field.

A study about the convergent effects of team interaction and team metacognition affecting a continuous participation in learning community of university (팀상호작용과 팀메타인지가 대학생 학습공동체 지속참여에 미치는 융복합적 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze convergent effects of team interaction and team metacognition of participants on a continuous participation in the university learning community. We developed 19 items of team interaction and 17 items of team metacognition through literature review. The subjects were 113 students who participated in learning community in A university. The results are as follows. First, team interaction level and team metacognition level can affect a continuous participation in learning community. The higher team interaction is and the lower team metacognition is, the higher continuous participation is. Second, among team interaction factors that affect a continuous participation in learning community, the more number of learning is and the more encouragement of one another is, the higher continuous participation is. But the less participation of members is, the less flow to learning is, and the less learning time is, the lower a continuous participation is. Third, among team metacognition factors that affect a continuous participation in learning community, the more number of learning is, the higher continuous participation is. But the more use of various learning tools is and the more learning time is, the lower continuous participation is. Based on these results, the convergent ways of support for continuous participation in the university learning community are as follows. First, supporting system is needed to induce students to experience the positive atmosphere of learning community by increasing number of learning to facilitate team interaction and urging them to encourage one another. Second, providing the effective utilization method is necessary for students to fully acknowledge the necessity and value of team metacognition activity.
