In this paper we have developed metadata system in order to utilize and refer to ICT educational resources which stand on the basis of standard international metadata " DC Core Education" by analyzing into the time input resources during each lessons. This metadata system makes addition metadata elements(introduction, development, review) in the flow of a general lesson to many ICT educational resources and high quality educational information in the web. It means elementary school teachers feel easy and convenient by offering systematically interface and unify reference. The system could expect to willing to help effectively lessons with ICT.

Rapid computing environment, change of the application structure, and various user demand will increase the demand of the software development. Version control is helpful to improve productivity using delta, and useful to establish component from existing data of source code. This paper presents the design and implementation of the version control system. which is composed of retrieval system and delta management system. In retrieval system, vanous retrieve methods arc proposed. This methods provides the process methodology with filename, content, size and date. Various retrieve methods arc important for the effective delta management. Meta data can be easily composed for the delta management by these methods. Compared with other systems, this implemented version control system has some advantage. First, for delta management, version maintenance for delta management becomes easier by integrating the forward and back-ward methods. Second, delta managent part of a project is to unite the forward and backward method. the effieiency of this system is to increased in management. Also, this system supports a thechnique of using the database and files for project repository and makes the version management more effective.

최근 인터넷의 발전으로 방대한 정보가 존재함에 따라 이들 정보들을 통합 관리할 필요성이 증대하고, 웹 검색 시스템의 서비스가 텍스트 뿐만 아니라 이미지나 사운드 데이터와 같은 멀티미디어 정보까지 보편화되어 검색의 결과로 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 기존의 검색결과를 보면 멀티미디어 데이터에 대한 검색결과는 부가적 정보로서 서비스를 제공하기 때문에 검색 결과에 대해서도 정확한 결과에 대한 서비스를 제공하지 못하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 XML기반에서 멀티미디어 데이터 소스에 대한 메타데이터를 DTD로 설계하여 내용기반 질의를 효과적으로 분산처리 할 수 있도록 Mediator를 설계한다.

최근에 인터넷 사용량이 증가함에 따라 자료의 양은 많아지고, 서비스 방식도 복잡해지는 문제가 생겨나게 되었다. 그에 따른 해결방안으로 P2P(Peer-to-Peer) 모델은 2000년대에 들어서 다시 컴퓨터 산업 무대의 중심으로 자리 잡게 되었다. 지금까지 잘 알려져 있는 클라이언트/서버 모델은 계속적으로 증가하고 있는 사용자와의 통신 수요에 대한 문제가 있다. 그렇기 때문에 P2P 모델은 이러한 구조에서 벗어나 사용자들 간의 직접적인 정보 교환을 가능하게 해주어 서버의 역할을 최소화 시켜 주었다. 이러한 이점 때문에 현재 많은 기업체들이 P2P 모델을 클라이언트/서버 모델 이상으로 선호하게 되었다. 자바를 이용해서 개발한 P2P용 메신저 통합 서비스에는 기존의 상대방과의 대화뿐만 아니라 파일 공유, 자료의 업/다운, 멀티미디어 채팅으로 상대방의 얼굴을 보며 대화를 할 수 있는 화상채팅 기능이 있고, 친구들을 쉽게 정리하여 사용자만이 관리를 할 수 있는 공유그룹과 폐쇄그룹을 추가하여 보안에 대비 하였다. 또 키워드 검색, 메타 검색으로 더 많은 자료를 손쉽게 찾을 수가 있다. 시스템 상에 XML, 웹 서버, WAP 게이트웨이 서버를 탑재하였고, 가상의 네트워크인 VPN 사용, 그리고 DB를 사용한 회원관리 및 여러 가지 서비스를 제공한다. 향후 P2P 기술은 P2P 검색, P2P 커뮤니케이션, 무선인터넷관련 기술, XML을 이용한 표준통합기술의 발전으로 더욱 침체된 시장에 활력소 역할을 할 것이다.

As computing technologies are rapidly progressed and widely used, the needs of high quality information have been increased. To satisfy these needs, it is essential to develop a system which can provide an efficient storing, managing and retrieving mechanism of complex multimedia data, esp. video data. In this paper, we propose a metadata model which can support content-based retrieval of video data. And we design and implement an integrated user interface for querying and browser for content-based retrieval in video database which can efficiently access and browse the video clip that user want to see. Proposed query processor and browser can support various user queries by integrating image feature, spatial temporal feature and annotation. Our system supports structure browsing of retrieved result, so users can more exactly and efficiently access relevant video clip. Without browsing the whole video clip, users can know the contents of video by seeing the storyboard. This storyboard facility makes users know more quickly the content of video clip.

W3C enacted RDF(Resource Description Framework based DCAT meta data standard, which is world-widely accepted so far. To guarantee the inter-operability and integrity of data from various sources and even from various countries, it is considered that transportation meta data should also follow the DCAT standard. But still, to represent the transportation domain-specific features, it is necessary to define new properties and vocabularies in addition to the DCAT standard. This research identified the additional properties and vocabularies for transportation metadata, considering uniqueness of transportation data. The revised RDF schema and RDF graph proposed in this research should be able to lead the transportation open data platform revitalization.

시청자의 취향에 맞는 방송 컨텐츠를 제공하는 쌍방향 방송 서비스에 대한 요구가 증가하면서 방송용 컨텐츠의 요약, 검색, 색인 기술의 개발이 필요하게 되었다. 이런 필요에 의해 만들어진 MPEG-7 과 TV-Anytime과 같은 국제 표준들은 영상/비디오의 효율적인 내용 특징 추출 기술 및 추출된 특징을 바탕으로 멀티미디어 데이터를 검색하는 기술을 제공할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 상위의 MPEG-7기술자들을 사용하여 골프 비디오의 내용기반 특징을 추출하고, 이들을 통합하여 골프 비디오의 구조적 내용 정보를 기술하는 요약문(Hierarchical Summary)을 생성하였다. 제안한 방법은 국제 표준으로써 그 성능을 인정받은 MPEG-7 기술자들을 사용하여 각 기술자 모듈의 정확성을 확보하고 필요에 따라 기술자 모듈의 성능을 개선하여 효율성을 높였다.

정보통신 및 무선 통신기기의 발달과 더불어 원격지에서 환자를 진단하고 치료하는 원격 진료 시스템에 관한 연구가 전 세계적으로 활발히 진행 중이다. 특히 서로 다른 기관으로부터의 분산된 의료 정보들 간의 통신을 위해서는 데이터를 통할시키는 것이 급선무다. 본 연구는 분산된 이질적인 의료 정보의 효과적인 관리를 위해 통합 메타데이터 카탈로그를 통한 검색 엔진을 설계하는데 중점을 두었다. 이를 통해 각 병원 데이터 형식의 일괄적인 변환 없이도 통찰 검색 환경을 사용할 수 있으며, 향후 시스템 개발에 있어서도 확장성이 용이하다.

This study aims to develop a standard set for metadata to describe E-dissertation. This standard is designed for interoperability and for convenience of integrated information retrieval. This will allow one to improve existing federated searches, create united databases, and provide greater consistency for researchers searching for thesis and dissertation at different institutions. The fourteen meta elements-nine from Dublin Core and four from local need-are proposed along with newly expanded meta elements, 'thesis.degree.name', 'thesis.degree.level', 'thesis.degree.discipline' and 'thesis.degree.grantor.'

In the semistructured distributed documents, it is very difficult to formalize and implement the query processing system due to the lack of structure and rule of the data. In order to precisely retrieve and process the heterogeneous semistructured documents, it is required to handle multiple mappings such as 1:1, 1:W and W:1 on an element simultaneously and to generate the schema from the distributed documents. In this paper, we have proposed an query processing algorithm for querying and answering on the heterogeneous semistructured data or documents over distributed systems and implemented with a metadata interface. The algorithm for generating local queries from the global query consists of mapping between g1oba1 and local nodes, data transformation according to the mapping types, path substitution, and resolving the heterogeneity among nodes on a global input query with metadata information. The mapping, transformation, and path substitution algorithms between the global schema and the local schemas have been implemented the metadata interface called DBXMI (for Distributed Documents XML Metadata Interface). The nodes with the same node name and different mapping or meanings is resolved by automatically extracting node identification information from the local schema automatically. The system uses Quilt as its XML query language. An experiment testing is reported over 3 different OEM model semistructured restaurant documents. The prototype system is developed under Windows system with Java and JavaCC compiler.
