가상 기계는 다양한 종류의 플랫폼에 대한 독립성을 지원하는 프로그램 실행 환경으로서 로더/링커, 인터프리터 및 가상 기계를 특정 시스템에 탑재하기 위한 어댑터로 크게 구성되어 있다. 본 논문에서는 가상 기계를 특정 시스템에 효율적으로 탑재하기 위한 어댑터를 개발하기 위해 기존 가상 기계의 탑재 부분을 고찰한 후 멀티플랫폼에 효과적으로 탑재할 수 있는 어댑터를 설계하였으며 제안된 어댑터는 정의 부분, 주 어댑터, 네이티브 인터페이스 부분으로 구성되어 있다. 또한 어댑터 개발시에 장치 특성, 입출력 등을 위한 API 작성에 필요한 요소들을 제시하였다.

In this paper, implementation of an ensemble transport interface (ETI) adapter for multimedia services based on terrestrial-digital multimedia broadcasting (T-DMB) is introduced. In general, ETI adapter should manipulate three functions: receiving packets packing multimedia data from service providers, configuring an ETI frame (G.703) from these data, and transmitting these frames to T-DMB multiplexer. To achieve these roles, the proposed ETI adapter consists of the network management module for data transmission and flow control between service providers and this adapter, the ETI configuration module for gathering data and then making ETI frames, and the hardware board for pushing ETI frames in real-time. The proposed adapter yielded faithful results without data lose on transmitting ETI frames to T-DMB multiplexer in the range of $64{\sim}1,153kbps$ specified in ETSI EN 300 401 after packing multimedia data received via Internet.

In this paper, we develop a PC adapter board and application software that do not use mouse or keyboard but the infrared communication, which can control the operation remotely. The infrared communication adapter is made up of the infrared receiver part and the serial communication interface part. The infrared receiver part creates a suitable scan-code using the received signal from the infrared transmitter (remote-controller). The serial communication interface part transmits the scan-code to PC by a serial communication. We implement its application softwares to listen to music and see movies. We can control their operations such as play, stop, pause and volume control remotely.

PDA와 같은 개인정보단말이 널리 보급되면서, PIMS 응용을 통해 원격 서버와 통신하면서 개인정보를 효과적으로 관리할 수 있게 되었다. 그러나 이때 사용자는 개인정보단말을 항상 네트워크에 연결된 상태로 유지하는 것이 아니라, 필요에 따라 가끔식 원격서버에 저장된 데이터를 가져와 사용하게 된다. 이러한 원격 데이터의 정확한 사용을 위해서는 원격 서버와 개인 정보 단말이 갖고 있는 두 데이터 집합간에 일관성을 유지해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 PIMS 응용을 위해 원격 서버와 개인 정보 단말간의 데이터 동기화를 지원하기 위한 SyncML 프레임 워크 기반의 PIMS 어댑터를 설계 및 구현하였다.

IEEE 1394는 디지털 가전기기와 전문 영상장비등의 디지털 데이터 전송을 일차적 목표로 하여 제시된 버스표준이다. 디지털 데이터를 고속으로 전송할 수 있으며 확장연결 가능한 구조와 통신 계층간 연결구성이 가능한 특징을 지닌다.IEEE 1394 표준은 컴퓨터뿐만 아니라 하드 디스크, 디지털 오디오와 비디오 장비들에 폭 넓게 채택되고 있다. 동시성(isochronous)인 특지을 가지고 있기에 시간 엄수(time critical)성 멀티미디어자료 연결에 융용하다. 1394용 호스트 어댑터는 adaptec사의 AHA-8920, AHA-8940등과 TI의 TSBKPCI PCILynx 와 TSBKPCITST PCILynx 등이 현재 제품화 되어 있다. 본 논문은 이들 호스트 어댑터에서 개발자들에게 제공하는 1394관련 API들과 그 구조, 그리고 윈도우 차기 버전들에서 제공하는 API와 구조들에 대한 비교를 제시하였다.

본 논문에서는 기존의 멀티미디어 스트리밍 시스템의 복잡하고 확장성이 떨어지는 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 새로운 컴포넌트를 생성하고 조합하여 작업을 동기화 할 수 있는 기법을 제안하였다. 이 기법은 복잡한 멀티미디어 처리 모듈을 단순한 선형적인 구조로 구성하여 버퍼링 모듈, 동기화 모듈, QoS 제어모듈, 비 호환 모듈간의 호환성을 보장하는 어댑터 모듈 등 효과적으로 확장 할 수 있게 설계함으로써 멀티미디어 스트리밍 시스템의 확장성과 이식성이 높아질 수 있도록 하고자 한다.

고화질의 VoD 서비스를 위한 차세대 인터넷 서버는 디스크 컨트룰러, 네트워크 어댑터와 메모리를 하나의 하드웨어에 집적한 네트워크 스토리지 카드를 기본으로 리눅스 환경에서 개발되었다. 본 시스템에서 제공하는 입출력 경로를 리눅스에서 사용되고 있는 EXT3 파일시스템과 호환이 되도록 설계하고 구현하였다. 본 파일시스템은 기존의 EXT3 파일시스템의 기능을 그대로 사용하면서 대용량의 고화질 멀티미디어 데이터를 고속으로 처리하고, 시스템의 자원을 최소로 사용하면서 VoD 서비스에서 요구하는 데이터 입출력 처리 성능을 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 차세대 인터넷 서버 환경에서 개발된 멀티미디어 파일시스템의 설계, 구현 내용과 성능을 기술한다.

The title of a document is the brief summarization of the document. Readers can easily understand a document if we provide them with its title in their preferred styles and the languages. In this research, we propose a cross-lingual and style-based title generation model using multiple adapters. To train the model, we need a parallel corpus in several languages with different styles. It is quite difficult to construct this kind of parallel corpus; however, a monolingual title generation corpus of the same style can be built easily. Therefore, we apply a zero-shot strategy to generate a title in a different language and with a different style for an input document. A baseline model is Transformer consisting of an encoder and a decoder, pre-trained by several languages. The model is then equipped with multiple adapters for translation, languages, and styles. After the model learns a translation task from parallel corpus, it learns a title generation task from monolingual title generation corpus. When training the model with a task, we only activate an adapter that corresponds to the task. When generating a cross-lingual and style-based title, we only activate adapters that correspond to a target language and a target style. An experimental result shows that our proposed model is only as good as a pipeline model that first translates into a target language and then generates a title. There have been significant changes in natural language generation due to the emergence of large-scale language models. However, research to improve the performance of natural language generation using limited resources and limited data needs to continue. In this regard, this study seeks to explore the significance of such research.

XML DBMS는 XML 문서의 직접적인 접근과 문서의 부분, 문서와 그 문서의 부분들을 통한 질의를 할수 있는 능력을 가져야 한다. 이러한 XML DBMS의 사용은 복잡한 계층적 관계의 범위로부터 데이터를 얻어내는데 특히 유용하게 사용될 수 있다. 일반적으로 XML DBMS를 구축하기 위해서는 다른 DBMS 위에 덧붙이거나, 처음부터 새로 만들거나, 새 제품을 구입할 수 있을 것이다. 처음부터 생성하는 것은 메모리 할당과 문서 조각의 효율적인 검색을 신중히 생각해야 한다. 또한 XML DBMS를 구입하는 것은 기존의 자료가 없고, 프로젝트가 현존하는 XML DBMS를 원할 경우에는 가장 좋은 솔루션이다. 다른 DBMS 위에 XML DBMS를 구축하는 것은 빠르게 구축할 수 있고, 하부를 구성하는 DBMS의 저장소를 사용할 수 있다는 이점이 있다. 또한 현재 존재하는 애플리케이션들과 기존의 자료와 통합이 쉬울 수 있다. 본 논문은 XML DBMS를 Generic Data Model을 기반으로 하여 설계 및 구현을 하였다. 이는 관계형 데이터베이스에 XML 문서를 저장, 삭제, 검색 할 수 있는 XML Repository system 위에 XML 어댑터를 접목시키는 방법을 사용하였다. 이 방법은 비용이 많이드는 XML DBMS를 사용하지 않고, 기존에 사용되는 DBMS를 이용하여 구축하기 때문에 적은 비용으로도 XML DBMS를 구현할 수 있다.

In this paper, we designed and implemented the general-purpose document repository manager for the ebXML-based e-business framework that support the rapid translation of various types of documents and provide the flexibility corresponding to the framework changes. Also, we automated the manually-processed e-business document translation process by designing the adaptor module for the interoperability of legacy systems. In the regards, our designed general purpose document manager makes it possible to integrate the existing e-commerce systems that are operated on the heterogeneous frameworks, and can be used on global e-business solution.
