An Efficiency Analysis for the Public Activities Support Projects of Non-Profit Private Organizations using DEA (비영리민간단체의 공익활동 지원사업 효율성분석)

  • This study suggests consulting directions for non-profit private organizations which were found to be inefficient in the efficiency analysis for the public activities support projects on those organizations performed by the Korean government. An ANOVA analysis on seven types of public activities support projects showed that there were differences among those types. By applying CCB-I, BCC-I, Super efficiency models among DEA, performance efficiencies were analyzed. Four input elements (age of the organization, supported amount, number of members, and the number of workers) and three output elements (project scores, financial scores, and comprehensive scores) were analyzed, and high efficient organizations were found as benchmarking objects, and, through super efficiency analysis, those objects were classified into short, mid, and long-term objects. Through such methods, this research provided organizations with the best information on other organizations to learn from and improve themselves.

Management Efficiency of Korean Information and Communication Enterprise (국내 정보통신업의 경영효율성)

  • Information and communication industry, which has been growing rapidly, is now leading the global economic growth, contributing a ripple effect on general business and economic structure. It is said that information and communication industry enables swift economic growth taking a role as a basic industry of information-oriented society. Especially, rapid technical innovation promotes mutual growth of other related industries and it is technology-intensive. The purpose of this research is to analyze the management efficiency of information and communication industry using DEA method, and finally suggests numerical value for inefficient organizations to improve their efficiency. CCR-I, BCC-I efficiency and RTS(Returns to scale) of 29 companies engaged in information and communication industry was evaluated. With the results, we suggested the model companies for benchmarking in information and communication industry. To summarize, 7 companies were selected with CCR-I efficiency rate 1, and 12 companies with BCC-I efficiency rate 1. RTS was finalized with 8 IRS companies, 10 DRS companies, and 11 CRS companies.

  • Digital watermarking is a technique to insert a visually imperceptible information into an image so that the information can be extracted for the purposes of ownership verification or authentication. And watermarking techniques can be classified as either fragile or robust. Robust watermarks are useful for copyright and ownership assertion purposes. They cannot be easily removed and should resist common image manipulation procedures such as rotation, scaling, cropping, etc. On the other hand, fragile watermarks are easily corrupted by any image processing procedure, it can detect any change to an image as well as localizing the areas that have been changed. In this paper, we propose a fragile watermarking algorithm using a special hierarchical structure for integrity verification of image and detection of manipulated location. In the proposed method, the image to be watermarked is divided into blocks in a multi-level hierarchy and calculating block digital signatures in this hierarchy. The proposed method thwarts the cut-and-paste attack and the experimental results to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Reversible Watermarking based Video Contents Management and Control technique using Biological Organism Model (생물학적 유기체 모델을 이용한 가역 워터마킹 기반 비디오 콘텐츠 관리 및 제어 기법)

  • The infectious information hiding system(IIHS) is proposed for secure distribution of high quality video contents by applying optimized watermark embedding and detection algorithms to video codecs. And the watermark as infectious information is transmitted while target video is displayed or edited by codecs. This paper proposes a fast and effective reversible watermarking and infectious information generation for IIHS. Our reversible watermarking scheme enables video decoder to control video quality and watermark strength actively for by adding control code and expiration date with the watermark. Also, we designed our scheme with low computational complexity to satisfy it's real-time processing in a video codec, and to prevent time or frame delay during watermark detection and video restoration, we embedded one watermark and one side information within a macro-block. Experimental results verify that our scheme satisfy real-time watermark embedding and detection and watermark error is 0% after reversible watermark detection. Finally, we conform that the quality of restored video contens is almost same with compressed video without watermarking algorithm.

A Study on Additional Data Transmission Scheme Based on T-DMB System for Emergency Broadcasting Service (재난방송 서비스를 위한 T-DMB 시스템 기반의 부가정보 전송 기법 연구)

  • In this paper, we proposed analysis additional data transmission scheme based on T-DMB system with watermarking technique for emergency broadcasting service. By applying the proposed scheme to T-DMB system, it allows additional data transmission and improves spectral efficiency of data transmission through watermarking spreading code. In the emergency situation, we can react the emergency situation using the emergency information that generated by proposed scheme. We are certified availability of our proposed technology by using various simulation. The performance is evaluated in terms of bit error rate (BER). From the simulation result, we confirmed the performance of T-DMB system embedded watermarking scheme and it is shown that system performance is affected the watermarking level. The results of the paper can be applied to wireless multimedia digital broadcasting system.

  • Medical images are being managed more by PACS in general medical institutions. It is important to protect patients from being invaded their privacy related to the images. It is also necessary to confirm the ownership, the right of properity of the medical images and notice whether the data are modified. In this paper, we propose a robust watermarking against RST attacks in medical images on the PACS. The proposed scheme modifies and improves Log-Polar Mapping and Fourier Mellin Transform in order to realize and recover serious image degradation and watermark data loss caused by the conversion between cartesian coordinate and log-polar coordinate. We used the radius and theta Look Up Table to solve the realization of the Fourier Mellin Transform, and inserted a watermark into 2D-DFT magnitudes using Spread Spectrum. Experimental results shows that this method are robust to several attack.

Relative Efficiency of Korea Trucking Transport Business Using DEA Model (DEA를 이용한 국내 화물자동차 운송업의 상대적 효율성분석)

  • Korea Trucking Transport Business is one of principal national logistics sector, though, so many issues and problems came to arises, which brought cargo transport system crisis over the country such as logistics enormous jam and traffic. This paper analyzes the efficiency of korean trucking transport business firms using DEA model. We evaluate the CCR, BCC efficiency and RTS of 30 trucking transport firms. We also suggest the trucking transport firms which can be benchmarked based on analyzed information. The result shows that seven enterprises whose values of CCR efficiency are 1, and fifteen enterprises whose values of BCC efficiency are 1. RTS indicates IRS of 16 firms, DRS of 5 firms and CRS of 9 firms.

  • 본 논문은 기존의 오디오 워터마킹 추출과정을 수정함으로써 원 신호의 영향을 크게 줄이고 추출과정에서 효율성을 높이는 방법을 제안한다. 즉, 추출과정에서 전 처리 과정으로 원 신호와 유사한 신호를 제거하기 위해 간단한 저주파 필터의 사용과, 워터마크의 반복삽입을 통해 추출의 효율성을 향상시킨다. 몇가지 실제 오디오 데이터를 이용하여 실험한 결과, 약 79%의 워터마크 검출율 개선을 얻었다.

Copyright Protection for Fire Video Images using an Effective Watermarking Method (효과적인 워터마킹 기법을 사용한 화재 비디오 영상의 저작권 보호)

  • This paper proposes an effective watermarking approach for copyright protection of fire video images. The proposed watermarking approach efficiently utilizes the inherent characteristics of fire data with respect to color and texture by using a gray level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM) and fuzzy c-means (FCM) clustering. GLCM is used to generate a texture feature dataset by computing energy and homogeneity properties for each candidate fire image block. FCM is used to segment color of the fire image and to select fire texture blocks for embedding watermarks. Each selected block is then decomposed into a one-level wavelet structure with four subbands [LL, LH, HL, HH] using a discrete wavelet transform (DWT), and LH subband coefficients with a gain factor are selected for embedding watermark, where the visibility of the image does not affect. Experimental results show that the proposed watermarking approach achieves about 48 dB of high peak-signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) and 1.6 to 2.0 of low M-singular value decomposition (M-SVD) values. In addition, the proposed approach outperforms conventional image watermarking approach in terms of normalized correlation (NC) values against several image processing attacks including noise addition, filtering, cropping, and JPEG compression.

Efficiency Analysis of Total Logistics Service Industry (종합물류서비스업의 효율성 분석)

  • Recently, as a way to revitalize the comprehensive logistics service industry, the government is trying to foster the concentration of the logistics industry. The introduction of institutional and legal measures for the maintenance of the logistics system will be expanded to the support limit for the professional logistics business, and the support for acquisitions and mergers will be strengthened. The expansion plan is also being promoted. In this paper, to analyze the efficiency of the integrated logistics service industry using DEA, we analyzed management efficiency using financial data for a total of 15 integrated logistics service industries. In the case of inefficient companies, the projected values for efficient company operation were presented, and the companies that could be benchmarked were identified through reference sets. In addition, I would like to consider the company's operation plan in consideration of scale profitability.
