A sensor array (3${\times}$5$\textrm{mm}^2$ in diaphragm dimension) of 12 sensing clements with different operating temperatures was optimized with respect to thermal operation. This sensor array with single heater on a glass diaphragm over back-etched silicon bulk realizes a novel concept of a sensor array: an array of sensor clements operated at different temperatures can yield more information than single measurement. The proposed micro sensor array could provide well-integrated array structure because it had only single heater at the center of the diaphragm and used the various sensing properties of two kinds of metal oxide layers with various operating temperatures.

Microlens array as basic element of the optical system have been fabricated with various focal length (mainly with long focal length) depending on the purpose of application. In this paper, the microlens arrays were fabricated for observing fluorescent images within sol-gel. Though the fluorescent signal is very low, the microlens array can help obtaining clear images through extracting the fluorescent light from sol-gel. We fabricated microlens arrays with short focal length, which can extract the light using photoresist thermal reflow method. In the experiment, the diameter of microlens decreased after thermal reflow because the solvent within the photoresist was vaporized. Therefore, to compensate the shape error by this reduction, microlens diameter in photomask was altered and spin-coat recipe of photoresist were modified.

Microarrayer makes DNA chip and microarray that contain hundreds to thousands of immobilized DNA probes on surface of a microscope slide. This paper shows the development results for a printing type of microarrayer. It realizes a typical, low-cost and efficient microarrayer for generating low density microarray. The microarrayer is developed by using a robot of three-axes perpendicular type. It is composed of a computer-controlled three-axes robot and a pen tip assembly. The key component of the arrayer is the print-head containing the tips to immobilize cDNA, genomic DNA or similar biological material on glass surface. The robot is designed to automatically collect probes from two 96-well plates with up to 32 tips at the same time. To prove the performance of the developed microarrayer, the general water types of inks such as black, blue and red. The inks are distributed at proper positions of 96 well plates and the three color inks are immobilized on the slide glass under the operation procedure. As the result of the test, it can be shown that it has sufficient performance for the production of low integrated DNA chip consisted of 96 spots within 1 $cm^2$ area.

In this paper, a microstrip array antenna utilized a subarray with a waveguide slot feeding is presented. This subarray can reduce the feed loss compared with a full microstrip feed network. The subarray has been designed both for a broad reflection bandwidth and a flat gain bandwidth from 40.5 GHz to 43.5 GHz. The 24${\times}$24 series-fed array antenna has been implemented with the maximum gain of 32.4 dBi.

A micro sensor array with 4 discrete sensors integrated on a microhotplate was developed for identifying the kinds and quantities of explosive gases. The sensor array consisited of four tin oxide-based thin films with the high and broad sensitivity to the tested explosive gases and uniform thermal distribution on the plate. The microhotplate, using silicon substrate with N/O/N membrane, dangling in air by Al bonding wires, and controlling the thickness by chemical mechanical process (CMP), has been designed and fabricated. By employing the sensitivity signal of the sensor array at 40$0^{\circ}C$, we could reliably classily the kinds and quantities of the explosive gases like butan, propane, LPG, and carbon monoxide within the range of threshold limit values (TLVs), employing principal component analysis (PCA).
An array structure of conducting polymer microtubule was fabricated for an amperometric biosensor. 3,4-Ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT) was electropolymerized in the microporous template membrane with poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)/poly(4-styrenesulfonic acid) (PEDOT/PSS) composite as a binder. The array structure can provide enhanced current collecting capability due to large active surface area compared to the macroscopic area of the electrode itself. For a biosensor application, the array electrode was tested for $H_2O_2$ detection and showed very sluggish electrochemical response to $H_2O_2$. To enhance the detection efficiency to the oxidation of $H_2O_2$, gold was treated on the electrode by two different approaches: sputtering and electrochemical deposition. Gold treatment with either method greatly enhanced the sensitivity of the electrode to $H_2O_2$. So, conducting polymer microtubule array with gold treatment was expected to be a sensitive amperometric biosensor system based on the detection of $H_2O_2$.

The PERC photovoltaic (PV) modules installed in PV power plant are still reports potential-induced degradation (PID) degradation due to high voltage potential differences. This is because Na+ ions in the cover glass of PV modules go through the encapsulant (EVA) and transferred to the surface of solar cells. As positive charges are accumulated at the ARC (SiOx/SiNx) interface where many defects are distributed, shunt-resistance (Rsh) is reduced. As a result, the leakage current is increased, and decrease in solar cell's power output. In this study, to prevent of this phenomenon, a Moth-eye nanostructure was deposited on the rear surface of an optical film using Nano-Imprint Lithography method, and a solar mini-module was constructed by inserting it between the cover glass and the EVA. To analyze the PID phenomenon, a cell-level PID acceleration test based on IEC 62804-1 standard was conducted. Also analyzed power output (Pmax), efficiency, and shunt resistance through Light I-V and Dark I-V. As a result, conventional solar cells were decreased by 6.3% from the initial efficiency of 19.76%, but the improved solar cells with the Moth-eye nanostructured optical film only decreased 0.6%, thereby preventing the PID phenomenon. As of Moth-eye nanostructured optical film, the transmittance was improved by 4%, and the solar module output was improved by 2.5%.
