  • We investigates MICE participants's evaluation on the application of smart tourism technology by comparing their importance and performance. Date were collected from MICE participants who had attended in hybrid MICE in recent five years, The three dimensions of smart tourism technology were event management, extension of contents, and community. We found that event management and community affected on overall satisfaction of MICE participants. The result of paired t-test revealed that there were significant differences in audience interaction, webinar, virtual showcase, communication by social hub, virtual marketplace, and matchmaking The importance-performance matrix also indicated that matchmaking, virtual marketplace, audience interaction, communication by social hub, and webinar were major weakness and should be improved in the future.

  • MICE industry is emerging as a new growth engine recently. Most of the domestic MICE events are carried out at low cost on a small scale. The event organizers want to cut down on costs of prints such as brochures and other promotional printed materials, as well as the personnel costs for the simple guide job needed on site, which are generated repeatedly and wastefully. The existing mobile web has a defect that the participants can't easily earn the information in the fixed menu, but have to search by themselves wasting lots of time. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the solution enables providing information efficiently at low cost for short-term use during the events. In this study, we implemented specific total management system for exhibitions and convention using beacon. The information system for exhibitions and events using beacon can raise the management efficiency, and the digital brochure function based on CMS heightens the information retrieval ability and also reduces costs. Organizers can manage their event efficiently in a small exhibition and convention event by running an online website and operate a site management system by them selves.

  • This study attempted to compare and analyze metaverse platforms according to their functions. The five metaverse platform was selected and comparatively analyzed through in-depth interviews with experts. As a result of the research, first, Roblox allows you to create and customize your own avatar, provides studio functions for free, and allows you to enjoy private games with friends. Second, Zepeto can create an avatar with one selfie and provides a creative studio function. Third, in Fortnite, it is possible to create in-game characters, purchase and wear items provided in the game, and play games with friends in Creative Mode. Fourth, in Gather Town, networking with users in virtual space is possible, and your own avatar customization and desired virtual space template are provided. Finally, Facebook Horizon participates in the virtual world Horizon with its own avatar that you decorate yourself, and it can function as a world builder, and you can set up a billboard in virtual reality or a virtual store. The value of this study provided a theoretical basis that can be applied to the future industry through the characteristics of the metaverse platform.

  • The main topic of this paper is how to structure information so that the view of the web, both within and across web pages, is dynamically customizable. We present an architecture that integrates Object-Oriented Databases with the World Wide Web to organize such dynamic structures. Different non, or the same user at different times, could have different views of the web. We discuss several architectural variants and implementation issues. Our chosen architecture provides high flexibility for a wide variety of applications, ranging from software development environments to the IO-web system.

  • While dramatic shifts in the media environment underscore the emerging importance of structural approaches in media studies. political economists in Korea have failed to meet such demands. It is particularly noteworthy that their most serious weakness lies in economic theories. This paper aims to examine major problems in political economic approaches in Korea and suggest some research agenda and directions for the future. Above all, political economists need to scrutinize and elaborate both microscopic and macroscopic frameworks. On the microscopic level, they may learn tremendous implications from the "audience-commodity" thesis and recent debates on "information goods" among Korean economists. For the more macroscopic part, it is urgently needed to delve into mid-level issues that may illuminate specific ways the media capital operates: trends in the accumulation of capital, the influence of technological innovation, changes in the labor process, and the relations among production, circulation and consumption sectors.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the differentiated motivations of users of live commerce by focusing on the entry into untact consumption culture. In addition, we intend to verify the mediating effect of engagement in the relationship between the motivation and attitude of live commerce use. As for the research method, an online survey was conducted targeting live commerce users, and 245 valid samples were used for analysis. For data analysis, frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, multiple regression analysis, and mediation regression analysis were performed. As a result of the analysis, the motivation for using live commerce was derived from four factors: Enjoyment of interaction, Substitutability of personal examination, Need for community, Trend setting. And Engagement was found to have a significant effect on attitude. Finally, engagement was found to have a partial mediating effect in the relationship between the motivation and attitude of live commerce use. The research results will provide implications for understanding non-face-to-face consumption culture and establishing effective strategies for the live commerce industry in the future.
