The effects of oral application of fenoxycarb, the commercial formulation Insegar, to the selected developmental stages of the silkworm, Bombyx mori, was investigated. An oral application of the chemical to the silkworm from the 2nd- to the 5th-instar larvae delayed the larval development upto more than 40 days and increased the larval body weight in the range of 1.1 to 1.7 folds. When the chemical was orally applied to the final instar larvae, spinning and pupation were prevented, and consequently permanent larvae occurred. The weight of a cocoon and its shell of silkworm(bombyx, mori, L) increased following the application of fenoxycarb to the 2nd- and the 3rd-instar larvae.

This study was carried out to investigate the life cycle of Cephonodes hylas (Linne), that is damaging to Gardenia jasminoides Ellis in the seedbed at Namhae during 1984 and 1985. Results are summarized as follows. The eggs were laid in mass on the leaf surface of the host plants. The oviposition period lasts for 26 days after late-May. The average number of eggs and average hatching rate were 20.36 and 97.61% , respectively. It takes 14-16 days until hatching. The egg shape was oval which its size was 1.01 mm in diameter and 1.48 mm in length. The body length of each larval instar from the 1st to the 5th were $3.52\pm$1.01, $6.46\pm$0.45, $13.19\pm$4.27, $24.08\pm$2.22 and $43.71\pm$5.62 mm, respectively. The average weight of each larval instar were $13.34\pm$2.41, $29.83\pm$6.88, $76.64\pm$31.31, $292.09\pm$107.70 and 2,$144.84\pm$760.70 mm, respectively. The larval period was observed from July to October, and total duration of larval stage was 116 days in which duration of each larval instar from the 1st to the 5th were 12, 36, 32, 16 and 20 days, respectively. During larval stage, a larvae feed on 17~18 seedlings. The 5th instar larvae built its place in soil for overwinter and became pupa. The body length of pupa was 33.6 mm and average weight was 2,032 mg Adult was emerged from overwintened pupa from mid through late-May in the followings year. The sex ratio of female was 42.82% and the color ratio of brown was 89.93%.

연구지역인 대관령 서쪽 산지 사면은 진부에서 동쪽으로 고속도로를 따라 약 21km 떨어진 대관령까지이며 해발고도는 500∼900m 지형경사는 3.3%이다. 1989년 5월∼1992년 5 월에 진부에서 대관령 쪽으로 영동고속도로를 따라 진부(고도 544m) 간평기(고도 576m) 유 천리(고도 600m) 싸리재(고도800m) 대관령(고도 842m)등의 5개지점을 정하여 일 강수량을 측정하였다 각 고도별 일 강수량 자료를 기초로 한반도의 지상 기압배치형에 따른 대관령 서쪽 산지의 고도별 강수량 분포의 특성을 고찰하였다,. 이결과를 용약하면 다음과 같다. 총 강수일 258일을 지상 기압배치형(기압골, 저기압, 시베리아고기압, 장마전선, 고기압, 태풍, 오호츠크해고기압)에 따라 7가지 형으로 분류하였다, 이들중 기압골이 나타난 날이 113일로 제일 많고 오호츠크해고기압이 나타난 날은 8일로 가장적었다. 고도별 일평균 강수량은 태 풍이 나타났을 때 17,5∼54,4mm로 제일많았고 시베리아고기압이 나타났을 때는 5.9∼ 19.8mm로 제일 적었다, 대관령 서쪽 산지 사면에서 강수량이 제일 많은 고도는 대관령이고 제일적은 고도는 간평리이다, 태풍과 오호츠크해고기압이 출현한 경우는 고도가 증가할수록 강수량도 많아졌다. 간평리와 대관령 고도의 강수량 분포에 관한 사례분석(1989.5∼1991.12) 에서 기압골, 저기압, 장마전선등이 나타난 36일 시베리아고기압이 나타난 1일은 간평리가 대관령보다 강수량이 많았다.

The width of head capsule of the beet armyworm, Spodoptera exigua (Hubner), was measured on the 5th generation larvae reared with artificial diet. The mean widths of head capsule of each instar were: 1st, 0.246 mm; 2nd, 0.35 mm; 3rd, 0.546 mm; 4th, 0.809 mm; 5th, 1.242 mm; and 6th, 2.185 mm. The coefficient of variation (%) of each instar were: 1st, 8.6; 2nd, 9.5; 3rd, 15.1; 4th, 11.2; 5th, 12.0; and 6th, 12.9. The growth ratio of each instar were: 2nd, 1.43; 3rd, 1.55; 4th, 1.48; 5th, 1.54; and 6th, 1.76. The fitness(%) to Dyar's law of the measurement of head capsule width were: 1st, 94.7; 2nd, 98.3; 3rd, 98.7; 4th, 94.8; 5th, 94.6; and 6th, 92.2. When the logarithm of the width is plotted against the number of instars, the calculated regression line is highly significient (Log Y = -0.819 + 0.1872X, $r^2$ = $0.9977*{**}$) and Dyar's constant was 1.54.

기 수행된 신보령1,2호기 해상교통안전진단을 바탕으로 신보령1,2호기에 추가 투입되는 18만DWT급 석탄운반선에 대한 추가 용역을 수행하였다. 신보령1,2호기 해상교통안전진단 대상선박 추가 투입에 따른 연구용역 사례를 토대로 기 수행된 해상교통안전진단보고서에 대상선박 추가 투입이 이루어질 경우에 대한 진단 방법을 소개하고, 도출된 문제점에 대한 해결방안을 제시하였다.

This study was carried ont to investigate the effect of feeding amount on the metric characters of silkworm at each day of 5 th instar. The results obtained from the study are summarized as follows: 1. The increased amount of feeding did not affect on the metric characters except the character, number of cocoon per litre, by each day of 5 th instar. 2. The decreased amount of feeding did affect the weight of cocoon, weight of cocoon layer and did not affect the pupation, best cocoon rate, cocoon layer rate and number of cocoon per litre by each day of 5 th instar. Namely, the weight of cocoon or weight of cocoon layer was decreased by 12 to 17 per cent in decreasing amount of feeding through 5 th instar. Weight of cocoon or cocoon layer decreased by 5 per cent in the decreasing amount of feeding at just 7 th day of 5 th instar.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of older workers career adaptability on turnover intention and to examine the mediating role of work engagement in the relationship between career adaptability and turnover intention and to investigate the effect of perception on older workers on work engagement. A total of 458 cases were analyzed. The major findings were as follows: First, it was found that there was a negative relationship between career adaptability and turnover intention. Second, it was found that work engagement meditated the relationship between career adaptability and turnover intention. Third, the mediation effect of work engagement in the relationship between career adaptability and turnover intention did not differ according to perception on older workers. Based on the findings, practical implications about older workers' career adaptability and the way how to hold older workers.
