Design of The Environment for a Realtime Data Integration based on TMDR (TMDR 기반의 실시간 데이터 통합 환경 설계)

  • This study suggests a method for extending XMDR to integrate and search legacy system. This extension blends MSO(Meta Semantic Ontology) for the management of metadata, ML(Meta Location) for the management of location information, and Topic Map which is the standard language used to represent semantic web. This study refers to it as TMDR(Topic Map MetaData Registry). As an intelligent layer, Topic Map functions like an index. However, if the data frequently changes, the efficiency of Topic Map may drop. To solve this problem, the proposed system represents the relation among metadata, the relation among real data, and the relation between metadata and real data as Topic Map. The represented Topic Map proposes a method to reduce the changing relation among real data caused by the relation among metadata.

Development of Operation Software for High Repetition rate Satellite Laser Ranging (고반복율 인공위성 레이저추적을 위한 운영 소프트웨어 개발)

  • Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) has been operating SLR (Satellite Laser Ranging) system with 2kHz repetition rate for satellite precise orbit and spin determination as well as space geodesy. But the SLR system was improved to be capable of laser ranging with high repetition rate, up to 10kHz by developing new operation software and novel range gate generator, called HSLR-10. The HSLR-10 will contribute to the accurate spin rate determination of geodetic satellites and geodetic research due to its largest repetition rate in the world. In this study, the development methodology and configuration of operation software are addressed, and its validation results are also presented.

  • Physical One-way Transfer, one of network Separating Network Technologies, shut off intrusion possibilities by removing data transfer line from external network to internal network. Physical One-way Transfer technology can not support legacy services based duplex transmission. Legacy services operating need agent for extra service with the support. But, Agent development have problems with adding cost and open internal protocols. In this papers, We analyzed legacy services between Control network and OA network in working SCADA systems, and based on the results obtained from the analysis, categorized the legacy services into three forms. We propose an agent generation method of the three service categories for Physical One-Way Transfer System. In addition, we design an automatic generation tool using the proposed method.

Estimating Three-Dimensional Scattering Centers of a Target Using the 3D MEMP Method in Radar Target Recognition (레이다 표적 인식에서 3D MEMP 기법을 이용한 표적의 3차원 산란점 예측)

  • This paper presents high resolution techniques of three-dimensional(3D) scattering center extraction for a radar backscattered signal in radar target recognition. We propose a 3D pairing procedure, a new approach to estimate 3D scattering centers. This pairing procedure is more accurate and robust than the general criterion. 3D MEMP(Matrix Enhancement and Matrix Pencil) with the 3D pairing procedure first creates an autocorrelation matrix from radar backscattered field data samples. A matrix pencil method is then used to extract 3D scattering centers from the principal eigenvectors of the autocorrelation matrix. An autocorrelation matrix is constructed by the MSSP(modified spatial smoothing preprocessing) method. The observation matrix required for estimation of 3D scattering center locations is built using the sparse scanning order conception. In order to demonstrate the performance of the proposed technique, we use backscattered field data generated by ideal point scatterers.

  • In a TDD system, the length of slots can be unequal, and the number of downlink (DL) and uplink (UL) slots per frame can be different as well. The advantage of using TDD is the capability to accommodate asymmetric high-bit-rate services for the DL and It, which will be one of the prominent features in 4G systems. This paper analyzes the performance of TDD system on mobile channel environments like indoor pedestrian and vehicular channel, and proposes optimum modulation/demodulation method in TDD system. A rectangular QAM (RQAM) used in various communication systems has good BER performance but the much more signal amplitudes also have become one of the barriers to implement receiver. While PSK receiver is implemented easily because it has a constant amplitude, but it's BER performance is worse than RQAM. APSK proposed in this paper integrates merits of RQAM and PSK, and minimizes demerits of then And a simple method is also proposed to demodulate the soft symbol. The results indicate that the proposed APSK has a little worse performance than RQAM but the dynamic range of APSK is about 4 dB, 8 dB better than RQAM at 16-ary, 64-ary modulation/demodulation respectively.

  • Since 2005, the production of feature 3D animation has been growing up worldwide and technology of hardware and software has been advanced fully enough to get over the limitation of visual expression, so that rendering weight of the whole work process is getting more important. A final file in the state right before rendering increases. the data size gets bigger. Therefore, if such final file is rendered as it is, the production schedule may not be met. For, some needless time shall be spent to call and save a high-capacity file in amendment work and to execute the rendering entirely again in addition to amendment. In this study, Maya API [1]was used to study the efficient information amendment method of extracting the rendering layers' files in order to develop a tool that executes rendering by applying such method. As the result, compliance to production schedule that is important in animation production can be done through the independent rendering tool based layer rendering that can maximize the efficiency of amendment work.

  • Imaging in bistatic radar has been known a more difficult task than that in monostatic radar. It is because the behavior of the bistatic range and the bistatic Doppler due to the motion of a transmitter and a receiver is so random that the compensation procedure, which we call an imaging algorithm, is quite complicated. This paper presents a bistatic radar imaging algorithm that can be used in some specific bistatic radar geometry. We show this geometry can present rectangular-like resolution cell on isorange-isoDoppler contours map. We also present the associated resolution and simulation results.

  • Design of X-band frequency FMCW based imaging radar with multi-resolutions and performances of the self-manufactured radar system are presented in this study. In order to implement the multi-bandwidths, a ramp sequence of the FMCW signal is consisting of two kinds of 'saw-tooth' waveform with different bandwidth, and a receiver circuit consisting of L-band source and frequency converter circuit is used to effectively extract spectra of beat-frequency from the received signal of X-band frequency. The system setups for performance measurement of self-manufactured radar system are maximum output power of 35 dBm, sampling frequency of 1.2 MHz and sweep time of 1 ms. Then, the measured resolutions of the modulated signal having bandwidth of 500 MHz and 300 MHz in range & azimuth-direction are (0.28 m, 0.26 m) and (0.44 m, 0.27 m), respectively.

Implementation of MP3 decoder with TMS320C541 DSP (TMS320C541 DSP를 이용한 MP3 디코더 구현)

  • MPEG-1 audio standard is the algorithm for the compression of high-qualify digital audio signals. The standard dictates the functions of encoder and decoder pair, and includes three different layers as the complexity and the performance of the encoder and decoder. In this paper, we implemented the real-time system of MPEG-1 audio layer III decoder(MP3) with the TMS320C541 fixed point DSP chip. MP3 algorithm uses psycho-acoustic characteristic of human hearing system, and it reduces the amount of data with eliminating the signals hard to be heard to the hearing system of human being. It is difficult to implement MP3 decoder with fixed Point DSP because of it's broad dynamic range. We implemented realtime system with fixed DSP chip by using weighted look-up tables to reduce the amount of calculation and solve the problem of broad dynamic range.

  • In this paper, modeling of a high-resolution multi-function radar is proposed to simulate radar performance in a war game simulator, called AddSIM. To incorporate the multi-function radar model into the AddSIM, the modeling must comprise a component-based structure consisting of physics, logics, and information blocks. Therefore, we assign the RF hardware of a RADAR as the physic block, a controller as the logics block, and the RF specifications of the RADAR as the information block. Detailed modeling of the physics and logics blocks are addressed, and data structure is also presented on an engineering level. On a multi-target engaged scenario, the performance of the multi-function radar is numerically analyzed and its validation is examined.
