Exploration on Modern People's Emotion regarding Abolition of Racing Model (레이싱 모델 폐지에 관한 현대인의 감성 탐색)

  • The purpose of the study was to explore modern people's emotion regarding sex commercialization related to the abolition of grid girl. To collect data, based on 'reply journalism', this study collected 15 blogs, 10 online cafe contents, 1 youtube video clip, and 364 replies associated with the three online contents. To analyze the data, interpretive text analysis was utilized and the following results were obtained. As results, the analysis on the replies shows that the most strong emotion of the modern people regarding the abolition of grid girl is anti-feminism that includes hatred toward feminists and even females, criticism on feminism, and notion of 'women's enemy is women themselves'. In addition, sympathy toward racing models who lost their jobs, requirement of same abolition to the people with similar occupations, spatial separation between men and women, and consent on the abolition of racing models were found. Unlike the feminists' emotion regarding sex commercialization and racing models, modern people's emotion was different from them. Rather, ordinary people have doubted and even criticized on the rationales of feminism. Unlike feminists' notion about sex commercialization of racing models, these results imply that social image of racing models has changed and wish their position is respected as an ordinary occupation, without issues of sex commercialization.

A Pilot Study on Self-driving Racing Car Control Model (자율주행 레이싱카 제어 모델에 관한 예비연구)

  • 자율주행 기술이 급속도로 발전하고 있지만, 자율주행 레이싱 기술과 관련 산업은 전세계적으로 아직 걸음마 수준이다. 본 연구팀은 국내 자율주행차 대표기업인 (주)언맨드솔루션에서 지원하는 플랫폼을 사용하여 자율주행 레이싱 제어 모델 프레임워크를 설계하고 기초 실험을 진행하였다. 제안된 자율주행 레이싱 제어 모델은 GPS 신호처리부, LiDAR 신호처리부, 영상처리부, 차량제어부, 추월/회피 제어부, 컨트롤러 통신부 등으로 구성된다. 실험을 통해 각 구성요소에 대한 기본 성능을 검증하였고, 레이싱에 최적화된 인공지능(AI) 기반 추월/회피 제어 알고리즘 개발을 위한 중요한 토대를 마련하였다. 본 연구를 바탕으로 2021년 11월에 국내 최초로 개최되는 세계 AI 로보카레이스 대회에 출전하여 제안된 자율주행 레이싱 제어 모델 프레임워크의 성능을 검증할 계획이다.

Spatial Deinterlacing of Field images Based on the Gradient-Domain Interpolation (필드화면의 공간적 디인터레이싱을 위한 기울기 정보기반 보간 기법)

  • 본 논문에서는 Markov random field (MRF) 프레임워크와 영상의 기울기(gradient) 정보를 이용한 필드영상의 공간적 디인터레이싱(deinterlacing) 알고리즘을 제안한다. 기존의 디인터레이싱 결과를 보면 때때로 에지 부분의 연결이 정밀하지 못하여 눈에 거슬리는 재깅(jagging) 현상 등의 결함이 나타나기도 하는데, 제안하는 알고리즘은 이러한 현상을 줄이고자 영상의 기울기 도메인(gradient domain)에서 디인터레이싱을 수행한다. 즉, 제안하는 방식은 필드 영상으로부터 기울기 영상을 얻고 이를 보간한 후 필드영상과 복원된 기울기 영상을 토대로 원본 영상을 복원한다. 이 과정에서 각각의 픽셀마다 기울기 영상의 보간을 위한 에지 방향의 추정이 필요한데, 이 과정에서는 MRF 모델을 기반으로 에너지 함수를 설계하고 최적화시킴으로써 보다 강건한 추정결과를 얻도록 하였다. 프레임 영상 복원은 기울기 영상과 필드 영상 정보를 사전 정보로 하여 선형 방정식을 세우고 푸는 과정으로 이루어진다. 실험한 결과, 제안된 방법의 결과가 기존 방법에 비하여 눈에 띄는 결함을 줄이고 좋은 성능을 보임을 확인할 수 있다.

  • Racing game requires plausible physics model that can be simulated in realtime. Minor artifacts in racing games are easily noticed, and any kinds of games should work interactively. It is difficult to model the accurate tire-ground physics and to integrate the model into realtime environments. In this paper, an efficient and effective 'imaginary wall' model was proposed. The method can be easily implemented because of the simplicity of the physical model used, and the result of the simulation is realistic enough for the racing games.

Effects of Lateral Bracing on the Load Distribution and Torsional Behaviors in Continuous Two-Girder Bridges (연속 2-거더교에서 수평브레이싱이 하중 분배 및 비틂 거동에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, we performed a loading test to evaluate the effect of load distribution on continuous two-span plate-girder bridges with or without bottom lateral bracing using one-fifth-scale bridge specimens. From the test results, when specimens with lateral bracing were loaded eccentrically, the load distribution capacity of the concrete deck and cross beam improved and greater loading was distributed to the other side of the girder subjected to loading. The load distribution rate of the specimens with and without lateral bracing system was evaluated from the analytical model that was verified by the test results. From the result of the quantitative evaluation, when specimen without lateral bracing was loaded eccentrically, mostly 21% of loading according to the concrete deck was distributed to the other side of the girder subjected to loading. However, when specimen with lateral bracing was loaded eccentrically, the load distribution rate increased by 1.7 times as all cross beams, bracing and concrete deck participated in load distribution. The reason is that the torsional rigidity increased as the model with lateral bracing behaved like a pseudo-closed box section.

Torsional Behavior of Ballastless Railway Plate Girder Bridge (무도상 철도판형교의 비틀림거동 특성)

  • In this paper, the effect on the lateral and torsional behavior of ballastless railway plate girder bridge by the installation of the lower horizontal bracing has been reviewed. First of all, the most efficient lower bracing arrangement has been reviewed by comparing and examining the lateral displacement due to the train load, targeting analysis models with different arrangement types of lower bracing. Next, the research on torsional behavior of plate girder bridge with lower bracing has been conducted. In addition, the torsion constant from FEM analysis results has been compared with the torsion constant of a railroad plate girder bridge with a closed section by substituting the upper and lower horizontal bracing with equivalent thickness. Based on this comparison, the impact on the bridge span length and the cross section area of the lower bracing has been examined. Through this study, the curve graph related to lateral buckling moment and torsional constant ratio is presented and the range of plate girder bridge requiring torsional reinforcement is proposed.

  • If a Player car precedes from start to the end or a fuzzy car wins every day during computer or racing games, most players will lose their interest in the games soon after several times. In order to solve this Problem and increase amusement at racing games, the more important thing than anything else is decide the ranking. In this thesis, in order to give amusement In racing games, the researcher made a fuzzy car and made it race with player cars. Because the preceding fuzzy car runs ahead of player cars, it can recognize their behaviors according to change of following player cars' speed and distance, and the fuzzy car changes its memory, but doesn't enforce actual behaviors. If the fuzzy car would make decision, it has to do behaviors to compete the ranking on the basis of the contracts it has memorized under the situation where a timer is awarded. In addition, although an accompanying fuzzy car has different contents of memory, it is operated in the same way as mentioned above. At the time of experiments, the researcher applied the actual value to the test program and drew result for ranking competition. In conclusion, the researcher could confirm that we can have modeling of various behaviors by means of the method using fuzzy logic rather than simple if-then method.

  • The structural analysis for light weight on the brake pedal of the racing spec installed with the balance bars of the four models were performed in this study. By utilizing two materials of steels and aluminum alloys, four shapes were analyzed. It is generally assumed that the magnitude of force a person may incur when riding in a car is 1000 N. The fixed points are designated as the parts at which the bolts and pedals are fixed and the mounting part of the balance bar applied by the stress transmitted through the rod when the pressure of the master cylinder rises and the operation stops. Through this analysis study, it is thought that the vulnerability of each brake pedal model can be investigated and the transmission efficiency of the brake pedal can be increased by light weight. As the design data with the durability of brake pedal obtained on the basis of this study result are utilized, the esthetic sense can be shown by being grafted onto the part of car at real life.

Transverse vibration reduction at navigation bridge deck of the shuttle tanker using structural intensity analysis (진동 인텐시티 해석을 통한 원유운반선의 거주구 횡방향 진동 저감 연구)

  • Structural intensity has been mainly utilized to identify vibration energy flow in a vessel. In this paper, the structural intensity of a shuttle tanker subjected to H-moment of the main engine was calculated using a finite element model. From the analysis, it was found that the top-bracing elements, which support the main engine onto the hull structure to prevent the excessive transverse vibration of the main engine, play the role of the dominant path and sink for vibration energy flow from the main engine. Therefore, the structural intensity was controlled by the modification of stiffness and damping characteristics of the top-bracing elements. As a result, it is observed that the transverse vibration level at the center of navigation bridge deck decreased after the control of structural intensity.

  • Lateral bracing has long been used in design practice to enhance the carrying capacity of the lateral buckling of the beam. Many factors, critically important to lateral bracing performance, do not appear in design formulas. Some of these factors are discussed in this study for the application to short I - beams under repeated loadings through parametric studies with an analytical model : the brace location along the length of the beam, the height of the bracing above the shear center of the beam, and the strength and stiffness of the brace. The parametric studies are carried out using a propped cantilever arrangement, and also using a geometrically (fully) nonlinear beam model for the brace as well as the beam to capture the system buckling. An idealized bracing system is configured to restrain lateral motion, but not rotation. A multiaxial cyclic plasticity model is also implemented to better represent cyclic metal plasticity in conjunction with a consistent return mapping algorithm.
