A 12-week line dance programme was applied to 18 elderly females who aged more than 65 years in the community. Balance ability during walking was evaluated by the range of center of pressure(cop), the velocity of cop, and free torque that calculated on the basis of ground reaction force data. The range and velocity of cop in the anterio-posterior were significantly reduced after performing(p<.01, p<.05, respectively), but change in those of cop in the medio-lateral and free torque were not found. It was demonstrates that 12-week line dance programme allows more effective in anterio-posterior stability of walking. It was suggested that the effect of fall prevention exercise should be studied more associate with fall frequency as future study.

A 15-week line dance programme was applied to 16 elderly females who aged more than 65 years in the community. Balance ability during static standing was evaluated by the range of center of pressure(cop), the velocity of cop, and sway area that calculated on the basis of ground reaction force data, forces, and moments. The range and velocity of cop in the anterio-posterior were significantly reduced after line dance(p<.01, p<.05, respectively), but change in those of cop in the medio-lateral was not found. It was demonstrated that 16-week line dance activities allow more effective in anterio-posterior stability and sway area of static standing. It was suggested that the effect of fall prevention exercise should be studied more associate with fall from vestibular and sensory system as future study.

For this purpose, 18 elderly women in their 60s to 70s, living in Y city were selected, and 9 of the participants were randomly assigned to participate in the line dance program for 12-weeks (line dance exercise group), while the other 9 participants were assigned to carry out their daily lives without participating in certain physical activity (control group) for the same period. The subjects' immune function and inflammation were measured using SPSS 24.0 for datafication, and the average and two-way ANOVA analysis were conducted. The result indicates the immunoglobulin, IgA, has increased, but not dramatically. The level of IgG(p<.05), and IgM(p<.05) increase were detected from the line dance exercise group, but not so much from the control group. Inflammation indicator, the CRP(p<.05), were significantly reduced from the line dance exercise group, but not much for the control group. According to the collected data, line dance for the elderly women can be considered as an effective exercise program, and the result shows that inflammation is reduced and immune function is improved. • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of line dance exercise on HOMA-IR and energy metabolic factors in postmenopausal obese women. The subjects were 24 obese women composed of the line dance group(n=12) trained for 12-week and the control group(n=12). The variables of body composition, HOMA-IR and energy metabolic factors were measured in all the subjects before and after the 12-week line dance exercise. The results of the study in the line dance group were as follows; The body weight, %fat, BMI, WHR and VFA had significantly decreased, but LBM had increased. The ghrelin, HDL-C had significantly increased, but leptin, insulin, glucose, HOMA-IR, TC, TG, LDL-C, SBP and DBP had decreased. And ghrelin, leptin, insulin, and glucose were the energy metabolic factors affecting the HOMA-IR in the line dance group. Therefore, regular and continuous line dance exercise will be effective for preventing the life-style diseases with improvement of the energy metabolic factors and insulin resistance by decreasing the body fat.
