The purpose of this study is to propose a method for evaluating the similarity of Show gardens using Deep Learning models, specifically VGG-16 and ResNet50. A model for judging the similarity of show gardens based on VGG-16 and ResNet50 models was developed, and was referred to as DRG (Deep Recognition of similarity in show Garden design). An algorithm utilizing GAP and Pearson correlation coefficient was employed to construct the model, and the accuracy of similarity was analyzed by comparing the total number of similar images derived at 1st (Top1), 3rd (Top3), and 5th (Top5) ranks with the original images. The image data used for the DRG model consisted of a total of 278 works from the Le Festival International des Jardins de Chaumont-sur-Loire, 27 works from the Seoul International Garden Show, and 17 works from the Korea Garden Show. Image analysis was conducted using the DRG model for both the same group and different groups, resulting in the establishment of guidelines for assessing show garden similarity. First, overall image similarity analysis was best suited for applying data augmentation techniques based on the ResNet50 model. Second, for image analysis focusing on internal structure and outer form, it was effective to apply a certain size filter (16cm × 16cm) to generate images emphasizing form and then compare similarity using the VGG-16 model. It was suggested that an image size of 448 × 448 pixels and the original image in full color are the optimal settings. Based on these research findings, a quantitative method for assessing show gardens is proposed and it is expected to contribute to the continuous development of garden culture through interdisciplinary research moving forward.

Collaborative Filtering, a representative recommendation system methodology, consists of two approaches: neighbor methods and latent factor models. Among these, the latent factor model using matrix factorization decomposes the user-item interaction matrix into two lower-dimensional rectangular matrices, predicting the item's rating through the product of these matrices. Due to the factor vectors inferred from rating patterns capturing user and item characteristics, this method is superior in scalability, accuracy, and flexibility compared to neighbor-based methods. However, it has a fundamental drawback: the need to reflect the diversity of preferences of different individuals for items with no ratings. This limitation leads to repetitive and inaccurate recommendations. The Adaptive Deep Latent Factor Model (ADLFM) was developed to address this issue. This model adaptively learns the preferences for each item by using the item description, which provides a detailed summary and explanation of the item. ADLFM takes in item description as input, calculates latent vectors of the user and item, and presents a method that can reflect personal diversity using an attention score. However, due to the requirement of a dataset that includes item descriptions, the domain that can apply ADLFM is limited, resulting in generalization limitations. This study proposes a Generalized Adaptive Deep Latent Factor Recommendation Model, G-ADLFRM, to improve the limitations of ADLFM. Firstly, we use item ID, commonly used in recommendation systems, as input instead of the item description. Additionally, we apply improved deep learning model structures such as Self-Attention, Multi-head Attention, and Multi-Conv1D. We conducted experiments on various datasets with input and model structure changes. The results showed that when only the input was changed, MAE increased slightly compared to ADLFM due to accompanying information loss, resulting in decreased recommendation performance. However, the average learning speed per epoch significantly improved as the amount of information to be processed decreased. When both the input and the model structure were changed, the best-performing Multi-Conv1d structure showed similar performance to ADLFM, sufficiently counteracting the information loss caused by the input change. We conclude that G-ADLFRM is a new, lightweight, and generalizable model that maintains the performance of the existing ADLFM while enabling fast learning and inference.

Objective : To summarize clinical and demographic variables and machine learning uses for predicting functional outcomes of patients with stroke. Methods : We searched PubMed, CINAHL and Web of Science to identify published articles from 2010 to 2021. The search terms were "machine learning OR data mining AND stroke AND function OR prediction OR/AND rehabilitation". Articles exclusively using brain imaging techniques, deep learning method and articles without available full text were excluded in this study. Results : Nine articles were selected for this study. Support vector machines (19.05%) and random forests (19.05%) were two most frequently used machine learning models. Five articles (55.56%) demonstrated that the impact of patient initial and/or discharge assessment scores such as modified ranking scale (mRS) or functional independence measure (FIM) on stroke patients' functional outcomes was higher than their clinical characteristics. Conclusions : This study showed that patient initial and/or discharge assessment scores such as mRS or FIM could influence their functional outcomes more than their clinical characteristics. Evaluating and reviewing initial and or discharge functional outcomes of patients with stroke might be required to develop the optimal therapeutic interventions to enhance functional outcomes of patients with stroke.
Automatic Post Editing(APE) is the study that automatically correcting errors included in the machine translated sentences. The goal of APE task is to generate error correcting models that improve translation quality, regardless of the translation system. For training these models, source sentence, machine translation, and post edit, which is manually edited by human translator, are utilized. Especially in the recent APE research, multilingual pretrained language models are being adopted, prior to the training by APE data. This study deals with multilingual pretrained language models adopted to the latest APE researches, and the specific application method for each APE study. Furthermore, based on the current research trend, we propose future research directions utilizing translation model or mBART model.
In this paper, we analyze the modulation scheme for high speed transmission in visible light communication system, and study non-orthogonal multiplexing, dimming level and transmission power ratio. Conventional visible light communication has a disadvantage in that it is difficult to multi-transmit to increase the transmission speed. Multi-transmission technique is necessary for high-speed transmission at the transmitter. Since general visible light communication has a limitation in multiple transmission, various researches for high-speed transmission have been conducted. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes a multiple modulation scheme for high-speed visible light communication using non-orthogonal multiplex transmission scheme and a future research direction.
The analysis of citing and cited phrases provides an opportunity to enhance search-centric academic information services. However, most current studies focus only on citation analysis among academic associations, researchers, and articles, making it challenging to develop higher citation-based information services. This study proposes citation analysis service methods using citing and cited phrases. First, to verify the feasibility of suggested services, we have collected the most highly cited articles with specific domain terms and followed their citing relationship; after that, we found formal citation types and ratios in the original articles. And we conducted structural analysis, especially with three topics, "Deep Learning," "Green Energy," and "Aging," and then structurally illustrates the citation characteristics of related articles. Finally, we collected four most cited articles and all their citing ones for each subject from Google Scholar and analyzed the ratio of citation types and citation spread. We hope that various citation analysis studies and information services can be further developed based on our discussion for designing better information services.

Development of AI and big data-based algorithms to advance and optimize the recognition and detection performance of various static/dynamic vehicles in front and around the vehicle at a time when securing driving safety is the most important point in the development and commercialization of autonomous vehicles. etc. are being studied. However, there are many research cases for recognizing the same vehicle by using the unique advantages of radar and camera, but deep learning image processing technology is not used, or only a short distance is detected as the same target due to radar performance problems. Therefore, there is a need for a convergence-based vehicle recognition method that configures a dataset that can be collected from radar equipment and camera equipment, calculates the error of the dataset, and recognizes it as the same target. In this paper, we aim to develop a technology that can link location information according to the installation location because data errors occur because it is judged as the same object depending on the installation location of the radar and CCTV (video).
Type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) is included in metabolic disorders characterized by hyperglycemia, which causes many complications, and requires long-term treatment resulting in massive medical expenses each year. There have been many studies to solve this problem, but the existing studies have not been accurate by learning and predicting the data at specific time point. Thus, this study proposed a model using RNN to increase the accuracy of prediction of T2DM. This work propose a T2DM prediction model based on Korean Genome and Epidemiology study(Ansan, Anseong Korea). We trained all of the data over time to create prediction model of diabetes. To verify the results of the prediction model, we compared the accuracy with the existing machine learning methods, LR, k-NN, and SVM. Proposed prediction model accuracy was 0.92 and the AUC was 0.92, which were higher than the other. Therefore predicting the onset of T2DM by using the proposed diabetes prediction model in this study, it could lead to healthier lifestyle and hyperglycemic control resulting in lower risk of diabetes by alerted diabetes occurrence.
In this paper, a lightweight network with fewer parameters compared to the existing object detection method is proposed. In the case of the currently used detection model, the network complexity has been greatly increased to improve accuracy. Therefore, the proposed network uses EfficientNet as a feature extraction network, and the subsequent layers are formed in a pyramid structure to utilize low-level detailed features and high-level semantic features. An attention process was applied between pyramid structures to suppress unnecessary noise for prediction. All computational processes of the network are replaced by depth-wise and point-wise convolutions to minimize the amount of computation. The proposed network was trained and evaluated using the PASCAL VOC dataset. The features fused through the experiment showed robust properties for various objects through a refinement process. Compared with the CNN-based detection model, detection accuracy is improved with a small amount of computation. It is considered necessary to adjust the anchor ratio according to the size of the object as a future study.
In the document extraction summary study, various methods for selecting important sentences based on the relationship between sentences were proposed. In the Korean document summary using the summation similarity of sentences, the summation similarity of the sentences was regarded as the amount of sentence information, and the summary sentences were extracted by selecting important sentences based on this. However, the problem is that it does not take into account the various importance that each sentence contributes to the entire document. Therefore, in this study, we propose a document extraction summary method that provides a summary by selecting important sentences based on the amount of quantitative and semantic information in the sentence. As a result, the extracted sentence agreement was 58.56% and the ROUGE-L score was 34, which was superior to the method using only the combined similarity. Compared to the deep learning-based method, the extraction method is lighter, but the performance is similar. Through this, it was confirmed that the method of compressing information based on semantic similarity between sentences is an important approach in document extraction summary. In addition, based on the quickly extracted summary, the document generation summary step can be effectively performed.
