The influence of Korean wave recognition on preference of cheese chicken rib, SNS, image of Korean food, intention to visit Korean restaurant (한류인식이 치즈닭갈비선호도와 SNS, 한식이미지, 한식당방문의도에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • This study examines the effect of Korean Wave recognition on the preference of cheese chicken ribs in Vietnamese students. It also examines the effect of preference of cheese chicken ribs on the Korean food image of Vietnamese students and their intention to visit Korean restaurants. We analyze the results and try to help globalization of Korean food, development of Korean menu and marketing activities. As a result of the analysis, the hypothesis that the recognition of Korean Wave has positive (+) influence on the preference of cheese chicken ribs was not adopted. The recognition of Hallyu influenced the preference of cheese chicken ribs through SNS influence. SNS influence was found to be a mediator between Korean recognition and cheese chicken rib preference. In case of foreigners, they will recognize Korean Wave through various instruments. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to study various factors that affect the preference of Korean food and the preference of single menu, and to re - examine Korean food which can globalize Korean food.

  • Disney animation can be said to be part of American culture and art. With the changes in American society and culture, we can see the changes in the personality and social status of female characters in Disney animation. Especially in the Disney animation works published after 2000, many works showing equality in the social abilities and status of women and men have been published. In this study, the characteristics of female characters of the 20th century and the 21st century is compared and analyzed the characters of Elsa and Anna, who expressed the female image in a metaphorical way of 'Frozen 2'. And studied the characteristics and meanings of clothing and colorful shapes. This paper reveals the design elements needed to construct a gender-equality image of female characters, and hopes that it will become a useful research material for the animation industry and academia in the future.

  • In this study, co-word occurrence analysis was performed on 288 articles rerieved from the Web of Science DB with the topic of web archiving. Results showed that research on image archiving information technology and system were most frequently carried out especially in medical area. Within library and information science and records management & archives areas, web archiving/digital preservation project subject and web archiving tools and methodology subject were studied mostly. It is expected that research related to web archiving software and tools will be increased in near future.

  • Augmented reality in the smart environments is the interaction between the user and the media through the expansion of a variety of experiences is provided. How to use the location information, how to use markers, utilizing real-time marker-less interaction with the real world and the virtual world, such as the mapping method intermediary situated in real-time. Expansion of the elements of experience, and augmented reality as a tool of information being utilized.   • Due to the rapid development of information & communication technology under high performance computing environments, the multimedia production techniques have been applied to a variety of multimedia fields such as general banner advertisements including texts, images and animations, and the internet-broadcasting dealing with videos and sounds. This paper presents an authoring tool with main functions to setup events objects (image, animation, sound, button, area) and to setup action functions, so that non-experts can easily produce multimedia including images, sounds, animations and so on. The authoring tool implemented in Java can be applied to the CD-ROM title production as well as the web-site construction. We can expect that when this authoring tool is used for in multimedia production, both cost and time will be reduced due to its convenience and powerful functions. We have a future plan to integrate intelligent multimedia presentation techniques with the presented tool for the autonomous multimedia authoring works.

Variation of Incident Wave Angle in the Surf Zone Observed from Digital Videos (해안 비디오로부터 관측된 쇄파지역에서 입사각의 변화)

  • Incident wave angles are conventionally estimated by the directional spectrum analysis of wave data collected from in-situ sensors. The in-situ measurements are limited in monitoring incident wave angles in the wide surf zone, since the techniques are typically expensive, labor-intensive, and point-measuring. In this study, estimation of incident wave angles using wave crest features captured in digital video imagery is proposed to observe incident wave directions over the surf zone. Line signatures of wave crests having high image pixel intensities are extracted by moving an interrogation window to identify high intensity pixels in sequential video images. Wave angles are computed by taking the first derivative of the extracted crest signatures, i.e. local slope of the crest signatures in the two-dimensional physical plane. Compared to the wave angle estimates obtained by the directional spectrum analysis, video-based wave angle estimates show good agreements in general.

  • Recently, an interest in a mobile search is increasing according to the growing propagation of smart phones. However, a keypad, which is not appropriate for mobile environment, is the only input media for the mobile search. As an alternative, voice emerged as a new media for the mobile search, but this also has weaknesses. Thus, in the paper, we propose a mobile content called Orthros for searching the Internet using images as an input. Orthros extracts texts from images, and then inserts the texts to public search engines as a keyword. Also, Orthros can repeat searching with the extracted texts by storing result URL to internal databases. As an experiment, we analyze properties of recognizable images and present the implementation method in details.

  • In this study, the factors of customers' selection attributes on family restaurants, brand images, and the effect on revisit intention were analyzed. Specifically, the effects of brand, store, and price, which are sub-factors of family restaurants, on customers' revisit intention, store/service value, brand value, food effect, and revisit intention were examined. Among the brand image and four family restaurant selection attributes derived from this study, the most significant selection attributes were the cleanliness and hygiene of family restaurant stores and the menu and quality of family restaurant stores. Therefore, it can be said that family restaurants are price attributes and store/service attributes that have the most influence among the selection attributes. Through this, we intend to provide basic data necessary to find development plans through strategic plans for family restaurant management in the future.

Automated infographic recommendation system based on machine learning (기계학습 기반의 인포그래픽 자동 추천 시스템)

  • In this paper, a machine learning-based automatic infographic recommendation system is proposed to improve the existing infographic production method. This system consists of a part that machine learning multiple infographic images and a part that automatically recommends infographics with artificial intelligence only by inputting basic data from the user. The recommended infographics are provided in the form of a library, and additional data can be input by drag & drop method. In addition, the infographic image is designed to be dynamically adjusted according to the size of the input data. As a result of analyzing the machine learning-based automatic infographic recommendation process, the matching success rate for layout and keyword was very high, and the matching success rate for type was rather low. In the future, a study to improve the matching success rate for the image type for each part of the infographic will be needed.

  • 터널 경계구역 내의 필수 조명기준은 가시기준, 즉 충분한 물체의 대비에 의해 결정된다. 본 연구에서는 터널도로를 대상으로 주간의 터널 입구부의 배경을 디지털 카메라로 측정하고, 그 이미지를 감지대비법의 일종인 광막휘도법(Veiling Luminance Method)과 기존 $20^{\circ}$ 시야의 L20법에 적용하여 터널의 경계부 평균휘도를 산출하였으며, 그 결과를 비교, 분석하였다.
