  • 다수의 연구자와 개발자들에 의해 견고하고 효율적이며 확장가능하고 또한 재사용이 가능한 네트워크 어플리케이션의 제작을 위한 방법론으로 디자인 패턴이 연구되고 있다. 이러한 디자인 패턴은 어플리케이션의 구조적 근간인 프레임워크를 위한 연구가 주를 이루고 있기 때문에 어플리케이션 서비스 로직의 처리를 위한 디자인 패턴에 대한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 프레임워크 레벨의 디자인 패턴을 확장하여 연결기반 통신 환경에서 스트림 데이터 처리를 수행하는 어플리케이션 서비스 로직 레벨의 디자인 패턴을 제안한다.

  • 객체지향 디자인 패턴은 아주 작은 재사용 구조로서 객체지향 방법론의 가장 큰 장점인 재사용성과 모듈성을 극대화시켜 실제 구현 과정에서 해결 방안으로 제시 가능한 것으로 이를 적용하면 시스템 개발은 물론 유지 보수에도 큰 효과가 있다. 순공학에서는 디자인 패턴을 이용하는 이점이 명확하지만, 소프트웨어 인공물들 즉, 디자인이나 코드 등에서 디자인 패턴의 사례를 발견하기 위해 사용하는 역공학 기술은 프로그램의 이해, 디자인을 코드로 변환하는 변환성, 코드의 질적 평가 등의 핵심 영역에서 유용하다. 본 논문은 Java 소스 코드를 AOL(Abstract Object Language)이라는 추상객체언어를 이용하여 클래스 특성 추출기 및 패턴 식별기라는 단계를 통해 구조적 디자인 패턴을 추출하는 프로세스에 대하여 기술한다.

  • This study examines how to realize citizen participation for public service design development. Firstly, after understanding the background of public service development process improvement, the concept of public service design and citizen participation, the summary of how to realize citizen participation for public service design development centered on the Participatory Public Service Design Group. The study found that in order to realize citizen participation, the citizen directly participated in the public service design development process, and it was important to adopt a citizen participation-oriented process and methodology based on service design.

  • Recently, citizen participation and user - oriented design are becoming increasingly important in the urban space design process. The Children's Park has also begun to discuss the need to reflect children's opinions and needs as well as existing ways and means of participation to reflect these opinions and ideas. In this study, a design education program for children was constructed and user opinions accessed via this design education were reflected in design and applied to the Children's Park. The training program consists of five weeks of educational programs, textbooks and teaching methods related to existing research, design education for children and participatory design programs. This program was used as a pilot of Eogong-6ho Children 's Park(No. 6 Children's Park), located in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon, and reinterpreted the results of the workshop for 5th grade students at Sunil Elementary School. This design education program is distinguished from other workshop programs on how to organize and operate participating professors and textbooks, and has a program base that can reproduce the entire process. In addition, it is necessary to verify the effects of user participation through research, such as monitoring the use of children's parks after completion, as well as the application of more diverse design methodologies to children's parks and the way they reflect children's opinions.

  • The purpose of this paper is to interpret the discourse on design thinking through the perspective of Roland Barthes' Mythologies. To this end, this paper will explore the mythologization process of design thinking using the methodological framework of Barthes, which structurally interprets the connotations produced using semiosis. Design thinking originally refers to a method which is used in the process of planning ideas about designs in order to create the final products for professional designs. However, design thinking has recently attracted more interest from the public because it has become known as a tool for solving various problems which exist outside of the field of design, such as social issues, management, and marketing strategies. Barthes points out that myths are used as a tool to deliver ideologies. He also emphasizes the importance of 'structural thinking'. It interprets the inherent connotative meanings more than the denotative meanings, which are explicitly shown. One of the most powerful ideologies which our society embraces today is creativity. Design thinking realizes the manifestation of creativity through a schematized process. This can be explained by considering design thinking as an icon that is specifically turned into a figuration to realize its objectness, in which a discourse for solving issues and social codes meet together and form a mythology. The mythologies that Barthes cites in his book refer to mythical values created by the cultural codes which humans have produced in our modern and contemporary age. The symbolic value of design thinking has become more important than the signifier which design thinking itself presents. This means that design thinking has become a sign that has mythical properties. In other words, the ideology of creativity embodied by design thinking has attained a mythological status, as it produces a new cultural code through innovation. The process of interpreting a phenomenon using the perspective of semiotics is an important tool that allows us to examine the concept of an object and its surroundings thoroughly. This paper attempts to expand the external scope of critical analysis about social phenomena by using the signs which continuously reveal themselves in common ideologies, such as design thinking, which has been gaining more popularity recently.

The pedagogical Idea and its Development in the Gradute School Ulm (울름조형대학의 교육이념과 그 발전과정)

  • 50년대에 급속한 경제성장을 이룩한 서독은 수출증대를 위하여 대량생산제품의 개발을 통한 국제경쟁력 강화를 꾀하였다. 여기에서 디자인이 제품의 질적 요소로서 그리고 판매증진의 요소로서 이해됨으로써, 제품개발을 위한 디자인의 개발이 강하게 요구되고, 또한 디자이너 양성을 위한 대학의 필요성이 대두되었다. 이러한 사회적 요구에 힘입어, 울름 조형대학은 '53년 8월 그 문을 열게 되었다. 설립초기에서부터 이 대학이 가장 중요하게 내세운 것은 바우하우스의 계승이었다. 그러나 초대 학장 막스 빌의 현대예술 중심적 디자인 관과 바우하우스 교수법을 그대로 답습하는 기초교육과정은 - 과학적으로 객관화된 디자인을“정치적”으로 정립하고자 - 바우하우스 이념을 계승하여 새로운 사회건설을 지향하는 젊은 강사들과 대립되는 것이었다. '55년 토마스 말도나도가 학장직을 대행하면서부터, 과학과목들의 도입과 더불어 바우하우스 계승의 길이 새롭게 모색되기 시작하였다. 그러나 디자인의 과학화 과정에서 과학기술을 맹신적으로 따르는 기술교조주의라는 문제에 즉면 하게 되고, 디자인에서의 과학기술을 사회적으로 재정립하기 위한 방향이 모색된다. 이로부터 인본주의적 인공환경의 건설을 지향하는 사회적 디자인, 즉“환경디자인 Umweltgestaltung”개념이 개발되고, 이의 과학적 방법론이 연구되었다. 결국,“환경디자인”은 울름 조형대학이 궁극적으로 추구한 불변의 이상향이 되었고, 이의 실천을 위한 기본 방법은“유닛시스템디자인Unit System Design(Baukasten-Systemdesign)”이었다. 이와 같이 울름 조형대학은 바우하우스의 계승이라는 대 명제 하에 인본 적으로 객관화된 과학적 디자인 개발에 일관된 노력을 기울였다. 그러나 여기에서 나타난 - 후기산업사회의 인간 중심적 발전을 목적으로 새로이 정립된 - 인본주의라는“정치성”으로 인하여, 결국 '68년 9월 30일 그 문을 닫게 되었다.

Adaptation of Peirce's typology of signs to architectural design (퍼스 기호 유형론의 건축 디자인 적용 연구)

  • This research is to investigate the way to combine Peirce's typology of signs with architectural design. A new diagram is suggested to ensure the continuity of Peirce's typology, by rearranging and reconstructing the well known inverted triangle diagram showing the structure of the typology. The new diagram is easier to understand the organization of the typology, by showing the linkages between sign types and their relationships with other types. A way to adapt the new diagram to architectural design for the purpose of representing typology as well as ensuring model growth as semiotic model for architectural design model. The new model is organized of three sign clusters, sinsign cluster, legisign cluster, and symbolic cluster. They are interrelated through successive inclusion and case inclustion. The new model is organized of threefold layers. The first layer is internal structure of each cluster. The second is interrelation between cluster. The third is mediation of symbolic cluster between sinsign cluster and legisign cluster. This paper investigate and demonstrate the possibility of adaptation of the new model in architectural design. It has been argued that the theoretical basis of sign typology is adaptable to architectural design by principle. More future research issues are discussed.

Development of Design Methodology for Cultural user-Interface Design: with the Emphasis on the Application of web-browser (문화적 사용자 인터페이스 디자인을 위한 방법론 개발에 관한 연구-웹 브라우저의 활용을 중심으로-)

  • Recently, the importance of cultural design has been increasing due to the globalization. However the cultural design is mainly focusing on the shape or color stereotype of different cultures, ignoring another important aspects of cultural design: the way of peoples' interacting with product. The study aims to develop usability test program for cultural user-interface design that operates in the world wide web. The study begins with discussing the nature of culture through defining culture and reviewing the depth and variables of culture. Based on the findings the structure of the usability testing program on the WWW design methods is identified. The usability testing program on the WWW comprises of five different modules: module for identifying users' demographic characteristics, module for cultural variables, module for population stereotype, module for usability testing, and module for data storage and analysis. Finally findings are summarized and further research prospects are outlined.

  • This paper aims to offer a conceptual framework in the context of culture-driven city branding through strategic design from a cross-disciplinary approach. The key findings identified the followings: Firstly, the phenomenon of culture-driven city brand creation and the use of design value of primary attractions. Secondly, the impact of the design contents of new media in supporting city brand creation. Lastly, the importance of image/text relationships through applying coding theory to enhance city brand communications.

  • This study proposes customized design process and methodology for wordpress web service based on structural analysis of wordpress theme components to enhance design quality of wordpress sites and increase designer's role in wordpress service domain. Firstly, we have identified problems of wordpress theme information through exploring theme search and theme information analysis in main wordpress theme markets. Secondly, we set up case study to experiment full process of wordpress theme based web design, then found unique problems in each design phases. As a result, customized design process and methodology are proposed for wordpress theme based web design.
