A Study on Accuracy Improvement of Dual Micro Patterns Using Magnetic Abrasive Deburring (자기 디버링을 이용한 복합 미세패턴의 형상 정밀도 향상)

  • In recent times, the requirement of a micro pattern on the surface of products has been increasing, and high precision in the fabrication of the pattern is required. Hence, in this study, dual micro patterns were fabricated on a cylindrical workpiece, and deburring was performed by magnetic abrasive deburring (MAD) process. A prediction model was developed, and the MAD process was optimized using the response surface method. When the predicted values were compared with the experimental results, the average prediction error was found to be approximately 7%. Experimental verification shows fabrication of high accuracy dual micro pattern and reliability of prediction model.

Application and Parameter Optimization of EP-MAP Hybrid Machining for Micro Pattern Deburring (미세 패턴의 디버링을 위한 전해-자기연마 복합가공의 적용과 공정 최적화에 관한 연구)

  • An EP(Electrolytic Polishing)-MAP(Magnetic Abrasive Polishing) hybrid process was applied to remove burr on the micro pattern. Micro pattern fabrication processes are combined with micro milling and EP-MAP hybrid process for deburring. Depending on the micro milling conditions which are applied, micro burrs are formed around the side and top of the pattern. The EP-MAP deburring is used to remove these burrs effectively. To optimize removal rate and form error in the EP-MAP hybrid process, a design of experiment was performed. The effect of deburring process and form error of micro pattern are evaluated via SEM images and the results of AFM.

  • 본 연구에서는 자동차 및 기계부품의 제조공정에서 핵심부품인 밸브바디의 주물공정 후 생성된 버(burr)를 제거하기위한 초음파 디버링 장치를 개발하고자하였다. 초음파 디버링장치는 진동부와 제어부로 구성되고 디버링효과의 극대화를 위해 디버링 수에 포함된 용존가스의 제거가 매우 중요함에 따라 용존가스 제어기법을 적용한 초음파 디버링 장치를 개발하고 평가실험을 수행하였다. 본 연구에서는 초음파 디버링에서의 용존가스에 따른 디버링 성능을 평가하고 실제 시스템에 적용하기위한 산업적용 가능성 평가를 수행하였다.

Study on Deburring and Burr Mechanism of Fabricated Micro-Pattern on Cylindrical Workpiece (원통형 공작물에서 미세패턴의 디버링 및 버의 생성 메커니즘)

  • Burr generation is inevitable during the machining of a micro-pattern, and it is difficult to distinguish between the pattern and burr because they have a very small dimensions. In this study, a micro-pattern with a pitch of $60{\mu}m$and height of $1{\mu}m$ was fabricated on a cylindrical surface using a turning machine. The structure of a burr and its generation mechanism were determined, and a magnetic abrasive deburring process was used to improve the accuracy of the pattern. As a result, when fabricating a micro-pattern, it was shown that the direction of the burr was determined by the feed direction of the tool. The measured pattern height was $1.018{\mu}m$ when the magnetic flux density and spindle speed were respectively 40 mT and 1600 rpm, respectively, during magnetic abrasive deburring, which were determined to be the optimal conditions for processing.

  • Almost all the software develpoment cost is especially spwnede in the test phase of kifecycle.Backtracking method and program slicing methed are often used for debugging.But these have need of abundant experience on debuggers or can't apply for large scale programs.In this paper, I used informations of design documents which is generally used, and proposed a new determination method of error positions combining backtracking method and program slcing method.I described several fundamental concepts, error classes, standard design documents and determination method of error positions to porpose a debugging method, and I explained the process of proposed method using an example program with errors.Finally, I compared and analysed the proposed method with usual slicing methods.

An Experimental Study on the Deburring Characteristics according to rpm Change of Deburring Wheel (디버링 휠의 회전수 변화에 따른 디버링 특성에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • The modern aircraft consists of tens/hundreds of thousands of components. A large proportion of these components are manufactured using a machining process. A deburring process must be performed after to machining. This study investigates the effect of changes in the deburring wheel rpm on the deburring force and radius. The deburring wheel is used to trim sharp edges off machined parts of the aircraft. The deburring wheel used consists of a core and a nylon hair(this new concept is protected under patent). We find that higher deburring wheel rpm results in increased deburring force and radius. For deburring wheel rotation rates of 500~750rpm, deburring force of 3.4~6.5kgf and deburring radius of 0.4~0.5mm were observed.
