Efficient GPU Isosurface Ray-casting of BCC Datasets (효율적인 BCC 볼륨 데이터의 GPU 등가면 광선투사법)

  • This paper presents a real-time GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) isosurface ray-caster that improves the performance by 4-7 folds from our previous method, while keeping the superior visual quality. Such an improvement is achieved by incorporating an efficient empty-space skipping scheme and an analytic normal computation. The empty-space skipping scheme is done by building an min/max octree computed from the BB(Bernslein-B$\acute{e}$zier)-form of spline pieces and the analytic normal Formula provides not only a nice visual quality but also an improved evaluation performance.

A Study on the Effect of Field Shaping on Dose Distribution of Electron Beams (전자선의 선량분포에 있어서 Field Shaping의 효과에 관한 연구)

  • In electron therapy, lead cutout or low-melting alloy block is used for shaping the field. Material for shaping electron field affects the output factor as wet 1 as the collimation system. The authors measured the output factors of electron beams for shaped fields from Clinac-18 using ionization chamber of Farmer type in polystyrene phantom. They analyzed the parameters that affect the output factors. The output factors of electron beams depend on the incident energy, collimation system and size of shaped field. For shaped field the variation of output factor for the field size (A/P) has appearence of a smooth curve for all energy and all applicator collimator combination. The output factors for open field deviate from the curves for shaped fields. An output factor for a given field can be calculated by equivalent field method such as A/P method, if a combination of applicator and collimator is fixed.

Curvature Radius of Equivalent Lens Obtained by Recursive Numerical Solving of Gaussian Equations (재귀적 수치 계산법을 이용한 등가 렌즈의 곡률 계산)

  • As a first step in the optical design process, we derive a recursive numerical calculation method that can give a solution to the Gaussian equation that the paraxial rays satisfy. Given the refractive power, the angle of incidence to the first principal plane of the lens, the angle of exit to the second principal plane of the lens, and the distance between the principal planes, the radii of curvature of the front and back surfaces of a lens can be obtained by applying the recursive numerical calculation method proposed in this paper according to the thickness of the lens. If a module consists of two or more lenses, the thickness and radius of curvature of each lens can be similarly determined after selecting the distance between the principal planes of the lens under the condition of the design specification while increasing the number of lenses one by one.

  • 태양광 패널 등가모델을 결합한 태양광 발전 패널 모의 장치(SAS)는 정확도 면에서 많은 장점이 있다. 특히 SAS에서 사용되는 등가회로 모델은 주변 환경에 맞게 빠르게 변하는 I-V 출력특성을 추출할 수 있어야 하며, 추출시간이 짧을수록 좋다. 본 논문은 태양광 등가회로 모델의 파라미터를 빠르게 추출하여 I-V 특성곡선을 모사할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 모델은 실시간으로 변화하는 태양광 패널의 출력 특성을 빠르게 모사하기 위해 미분을 사용해서 등가회로의 파라미터를 추출한다. 제안 모델의 타당성 검증은 기존의 사용하는 방법들과의 비교를 통해 진행하였고, 그 결과 정확도는 기존의 사용하는 방법과 비슷하게 유지하면서 속도는 향상됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • The purpose ol this study Is to suggest a proper analysis model that can evaluate seismic stability for local rock foundation of nuclear power plant. Sliding Analysis, Pseudo-static Analysis and Dynamic Analysis methods are used for analysing NPP rock foundation with the conditions like acting directions of input earthquake, boundary conditions, width and depth of analysing model, and modeling methods of weakness fault zones. As the results of study, Pseudo-static Analysis for lateral roller and dynamic analysis for transfer boundary condition showed good results, and analysing ranges of width and depth were 5 times of structure width and over 2 times ol structure depth.

  • This paper presents a general theory for the analysis of an aperture-coupled cavity-fed microstrip patch antenna to develop a simple but accurate equivalent circuit model. The developed equivalent circuit consists of ideal transformers, admittance elements, and transmission lines. These circuit element values are computed by applying the complex power concept, the Fourier transform and series representation, and the spectral-domain immittance approach. The input impedance of the antenna is calculated and compared with the published data. Good agreements validate the simplicity and accuracy of the developed equivalent circuit model.

  • 본 논문은 약 134 GB에 이르는 시간 가변 해양 볼륨 데이터론 효과적으로 가시화 하기 위한 두 가지 접근 방법을 제시한다. 첫 번째 방법은 고화질의 동영상을 생성하기 위한 오프라인 병렬 볼륨 렌더링 기법으로, 볼륨광선추적법과 등가면 기법을 통합한 렌더링 알고리즘을 적용하여 고해상도의 영상을 생성할 수 있다. 두 번째 방법은, 그래픽스 하드웨어 가속기능을 통해 대화식 가시화가 가능한 멀티 파이프 렌더링을 구현하는 것으로, 복수개의 그래픽스 파이프라인과 3차원 텍스춰 맵핑 가속기능을 이용해 시간의 변화에 따른 해양의 변화를 효과적으로 가시화하고 분석할 수 있다.

  • Post-processing programs play an important role in the CFD data visualization and analysis. A variety of post-processing softwares have been developed and are being used in the CFD community. Developing a good quality of post-processing program requires dedication and efforts. In this paper an experience obtained through previous studies and developing post-processing programs are introduced which includes data structure and visualization algorithms.

  • 본 논문에서는 무한 도체판에 존재하는 폭이 좁은 슬롯에 단락도체를 설치하였을 때 슬롯을 통하여 침투하는 침투전자파의 크기를 검토하고 있다. 이론해석으로서는 슬롯 개구면의 전계분포에 관한 적분방정식을 유도하고, 개구면 전계분포를 등가 반경의 개념을 적용한 선자류로 가정하여 구분정현함수를 사용한 Galerkin의 모멘트법으로 침투전자파의 크기를 계산하였다. 슬롯에 평면파가 입사할 때 슬롯 개구에 설치된 단락도체에 의해 개구면 전계분포가 제어되고 침투전자파의 크기가 감소된다는 것을 확인하고 있다.
