A Study on the Method of Gain Setting of Digital Governor by Dynamic Calculation for Marine Prime Movers (선박 주기관 디지털 거버너의 동적 게인 설정법에 관한 연구)

  • The design concept of diesel engines for sea-going ships has been directed to Low-speed/Long-Stroke type to improve the efficiencies of combustion and propelling. But the time-delay property inevitable at such low speed engines gives much difficulties for governors to control the engine speed because they would be apt to go into unstable region especially when operating at low speed. The purpose of this paper is to study the problem of how the governor gain can be calculated dynamically in accordance with the variance of engine speed at least for an engine to be stable. In this study, the property of diesel engine was described as composed of combustion element including dead time and rotating element, and the ultimate gain for the speed control system to be located on the condition of stability limit was proposed based on the frequency characteristics. And the target gains with optimized stability also were proposed by giving proper margin to these ultimate conditions. The results were applied to a model system and the availability was confirmed to be satisfactory.

  • The seismic base isolation design approach has been reviewed and modified to fit the nonlinear static analysis procedure for determination of the performance point of structures in a simpler way, such an adaptation may be possible for the fact that a structural system under development of damage due to earthquake loading keeps softening to result in period shifting toward longer side. The superiority of the proposed method to the state-of-the-practice approach is that the reasonably accurate performance point can be obtained without constructing the so-called acceleration displacement response spectrum required in application of capacity spectrum method. The validity of the proposed approach was verified by comparing the predicted values to the exact ones presented in the literature.

  • Recently, roost of the companies have, utilized internet with the purpose of business. According to this tendency, each company is exchanging various information and offering services of e-business through Web-Site. Contents on Web-Site are getting huge and the period of contents renewal is getting short. Consequently, each company is faced with many problems for the contents management because of specialization and fractionation of contents. A contents management system that creates, maintains and manages efficiently and conveniently contents on Web-Site toward solving these problems is very required. in this paper, we design and implement such a web contents management system. It also supports dynamic web page publication based on the XML components.

  • This paper proposes a bifurcation theory method applied for voltage stability analysis and shows the improvement of voltage stability by attaching the FACTS devices in the power system. A power system is generally expressed by a set of equations of highly nonlinear dynamical system which includes system parameters(real or reactive power). Sometimes variation of parameters in the system may result in complication behaviors which give rise to system instability. The addition of FACTS increases the range of voltage stability in the power system. The effect of FACTS which improves voltage stability are illustrated in the case studies by delaying of Unstable Hopf Bifurcation and Saddle Node Bifurcation.

  • 임베디드 시스템이 점점 다기능화 고기능화 됨에 따라 구현과정도 복잡해지고 있으며, 빠른 제품 주기등의 영업적인 이유로 개발 기간을 단축하려는 요구는 증대되고 있다. 특히 SoC 분야는 하드웨어와 소프트웨어를 동시에 개발하기 때문에 두 부분이 동시에 정상 동작하는지의 검증이 어렵다. 이러한 문제들을 해결하기 위해, 다양한 시스템에 적용 가능한 플랫폼을 제안하고, 이 플랫폼을 기본 골격으로 사용하는 플랫폼 기반 개발 방법이 등장하게 되었다. 이 방법은 개발 과정에서 플랫폼 모듈을 재사용하기 때문에 안전성을 확보할 수 있고, 많은 자동화를 이룰 수 있어 개발 시간을 단축할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이 플랫폼 기반 개발 방법을 프로토타이핑 과정에 적용한 프로토타이핑 미들웨어를 제안한다. 이 미들웨어를 통해, 구현된 하드웨어의 정상 동적 여부를 빠르게 확인할 수 있고, 프로토타이핑 과정을 마치고 최종 소프트웨어를 작성할 때에도 참고가 될 수 있다. 또한 설정 부분은 미들웨어 사용자의 편의를 위해 XML을 이용해 사용자가 직관적으로 알 수 있게 하였고, 사용자 작성 모듈은 미들웨어에서 정해진 인터페이스를 통해 미들웨어의 재 컴파일 없이, 사용자 모듈만 컴파일하면 동작하는 특징을 갖는다. 그리고 이 미들웨어를 도어락 제어 시스템에 적용하여 편의성을 평가한다.

Three-dimensional Detoantion Wave Dynamics in a Circular Tube (원형 관 내부에서의 3차원 데토네이션 파의 동적모형)

  • The three-dimensional structure of detonation wave propagating in a circular tube was investigated using a parallel computational code developed previously. A series of parametric study for a circular tube of a fixed diameter gave the formation mechanism of the detonation cell structures depending on pre-exponential factor, k. The unsteady results in three-dimension showed the mechanisms of two, three and four cell mode of detonation wave front structures. The detonation cell number was increased but cell width and length were decreased with increased pre-exponential factor k. In the all multi-cell mode, the detonation wave structure and smoked-foil records on the wall are made by the moving of transverse waves. The detonation wave front structures have the regular polygon and windmill shapes periodically.

  • In this paper, we proposed a neural network controller with a fuzzy compensator which compensate a output of neural network controller. Even if learn by neural network controller, it can occur a bad results from disturbance or load variations. So in order to adjust above case. we used the fuzzy compensator to get an expected results. And the weight of main neural network can be changed with the result of learning an inverse model neural network of plant, so a expected dynamic characteristics of plant can be got. In order to confirm a performance of the proposed controller, we implemented the controller using the DSP processor and applied in a hydraulic servo system. And then we observed an experimental results.

  • In IEEE 802.11b wireless network, stations synchronize themselves to the beacons periodically sent by the access point (AP) when they are running in low power mode. Stations stay awake for enough time to receive beacon because it is delayed in AP if the wireless channel has been being used by other traffic at each scheduled instant. In this paper, we propose a method that measures the delay of received beacons and calculates wake-up interval of station to receive the next one. Beacon transmission delay at the AP is analyzed. The proposed method is simulated and its characteristics are described in the analysis. The result measured in terms of station's wake-up interval shows some enhancement in energy consumption.

함정설계 지원 시스템 기술동향

  • 함정설계지원시스템이란 함정 설계의 목표를 효율적으로 달성하기 위한 제반 기술적인 수단과 이들의 운용체제로, 함정 고유의 설계기술과 결합한 컴퓨터 이용기술의 집합체로 정의할 수 있다. 함정설계 및 건조에 있어서 컴퓨터기술의 이용은 아나로그 컴퓨터가 실용화되면서부터 활발하게 추진되기 시작하였다. 초기에는 주로 진동해석 및 제어시스템과 같은 여러가지 동적인 문제의 해결에 촛점이 맞추어져 왔다. 1960년대 초 컴퓨터 기술이 설계 분야에 이용되면서 선박의 설계 및 건조의 전 과정에 적용될 범용 컴퓨터 프로그램을 개발하기 위한 노력이 본격화되었으며, CAD tool이 상용화되기 전까지는 간단한 도형처리 기능을 포함한 특정 공학 해석을 신속하게 수행하기 위한 프로그램들이 개발, 사용되어 왔다. 컴퓨터 관련 기술이 발전함에 따라 함정설계지원시스템도 종래의 부분적인 설계업무의 자동화에서 함정의 획득(acquistion) 및 전 수명주기의 지원(life-cycle support) 과정에서의 생산성 향상, 품질향상 및 예산절감을 위한 수단으로 확대 발전되어 왔으며 최근에는 (CALS(Continuous Acquistion and Life-cycle Support)라는 새로운 문제로 정착되고 있다. 본 고에서는 21세기 대양해군을 지향하는 우리나라 해군력의 기본이 되는 함정의 설계, 건조 및 운용 지원분야의 획기적인 발전을 위해, 그 핵심적인 수단이 ㅗ딜 함정설계지원시스템의 개발동향에 대해 이 분야의 기술을 주도하고 있는 미 해군의 사례를 중심으로 살펴보고 현 단계에서 우리 해군이 추진가능한 몇가지 과제에 대해 제안하였다.
