Design of the XML Based Educational Adaptive Hypermedia System (XML 기반의 교육용 동적적응 하이퍼미다어 시스템 설계)

  • The problems of developing web based adaptive hypermedia for education using XML are discussed in this paper. We define two different markup languages using XML. The one structures the domain model and the another describes the user model. These language can be easily extended and authored, with the result of obtaining a simple methodology for data structuring in the field of web based educational adaptive hypermedia. Also, We have suggested three learning rules that automatically restructures hypertext networks according to their user browsing behavior. The user profile is contained in a user model, while the knowledge about the domain can be represented in the form of a concept based domain model. Accordingly.

  • Recently, as the use of real time traffic information of a car navigation system increases rapidly with the development of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), path search is getting more important. Previous algorithms, however, are mostly for the shortest distance searching and provide route information using static distance and time information. Thus they could not provide the most optimal route at the moment which changes dynamically according to traffic. Accordingly, in this study, Semantic Shortest Path algorithm with Reduction ratio & Distance(SSP_RD) is proposed to solve this problem. Additionally, a routing model based on velocity reduction ratio and distance and a dynamic route link map are proposed.

  • In order to provide useful services for user in ubiquitous environment, a technique that can get the helpful information considering user activity and preference is needed and also user's interest actually changes as time passes. Therefore, the discovering method which reflects the concern degree of service information is needed. In this paper, we present the finding method of frequent pattern with dynamic weight on individual item based on service ontology we design. Our method can be applied to provide interested service information for user depending on context.

  • There exists a limit in efficient processing of mixed workloads that database markets requires in recent years since existing database systems utilize a static page storage model. In this paper we propose a dynamic page storage model that can reflect the characteristics of mixed workloads. We also describe how to extract optimized column groups from given mixed workloads and how to construct pages dynamically. Finally, we show in our experiments that the proposed model is more efficient than the existing model in processing given mixed workloads.

  • Dynamic dan loading and class linking of Java is a poweful mechanism. Many other system also support some form of dynamic loading and linking, but lazy loading, type-safe linkage, user-definable class loading policy, and multiple namespaces are important features of Java The ue U dan loading is assured of type safety. The security of Java greatly depends on type safety. In JVM, type safety mechanism is very difficult and access of accuracy is not dear, so type safety problems were raised. In paper, n analysis simple Java code and present a diagram graph and an operational semantics for dynamic class loading and type safety.

  • After starting digital terrestrial broadcasting, there have been a number oftrials to provide new services like data broadcasting on a spare bandwidth of a DTV channel. Recently, the Push-VOD service, which provides A/V contents on that bandwidth, gets more attention and is being standardized as NRT(Non-Real-Time) by ATSC. However, it is highly probable that the contents transmitted in this way contain many errors due to the DTV receiving environment. Thus, in order to improve the reliability of transmission, the contents should be transmitted repeatedly several times, considering the unidirectional property of DTV terrestrial network. In this paper, we propose a method to calculate the optimal number of repetitions to transmit each contents in a way that minimizes the number of errors occured, when trying to transmit several contents to the receiver in a restricted time, using Markov-chain modeling and dynamic programming approach.

  • 콘텐츠 큐레이션 서비스를 위해서 대용량 데이터를 학습하는 과정에서 발생하는 메모리부족 문제, 학습소요시간 문제 등을 해결하기 위한 "대용량 문서학습을 위한 동적학습 파이프라인 생성기술 중 빅데이터 마이닝을 위한 점진적 학습 모델" 기술이 필요하며, 본 논문에서 제안한 콘텐츠 큐레이션 서비스는 온라인상의 수많은 콘텐츠들 중 개인의 주관이나 관점에 따라 관련 콘텐츠들을 수집, 정리하고 편집하여 이용자와 관련이 있거나 좋아할 만한 콘텐츠를 제공하는 서비스이다. 큐레이션 서비스에서는 개인비서, 금융 분야의 투자, 자율주행, 저널리즘, 효율적인 업무 지시/감독, 제조업의 자동화 공정, 교육, 콘텐츠 유통, 학술정보 등에서 컴퓨터가 방대한 양의 데이터로 부터 학습하여 사람의 일을 대신 처리하거나 의사결정에 도움을 줌으로써 업무의 효율을 높여주는 서비스 산업에 활용이 가능하다.

  • 기존의 전자도서관 시스템에서 정보를 관리하는 시스템들은 각 정보원 혹은 자료의 특성에 따라 독립된 시스템을 사용하고 있어서 분야별 표준화 방법과 표현방법에 큰 차이를 보이고 있으며, 서로 다른 분야의 콘텐츠에 대한 상호활용은 거의 불가능하다. 본 논문에서는 서로 상이한 콘텐츠를 통합적으로 관리가 가능하도록 사용자가 직접 콘텐츠별 포맷 정보를 추가 또는 변경이 가능하도록 시스템을 설계하였다. 제안하는 시스템은 기존 콘텐츠 관리 시스템보다 사용자가 동적으로 사용할 수 있는 환경을 제공하기 때문에 경제적인 측면에서는 비용을 절감할 수 있는 콘텐츠를 선택할 수 있으며, 관리적인 측면에서는 콘텐츠 데이터 자원의 재활용성을 높일 수 있다.

Dynamic Gesture Recognition using SVM and its Application to an Interactive Storybook (SVM을 이용한 동적 동작인식: 체감형 동화에 적용)

  • This paper proposes a dynamic gesture recognition algorithm using SVM(Support Vector Machine) which is suitable for multi-dimension classification. First of all, the proposed algorithm locates the beginning and end of the gestures on the video frames at the Kinect camera, spots meaningful gesture frames, and normalizes the number of frames. Then, for gesture recognition, the algorithm extracts gesture features using body parts' positions and relations among the parts based on the human model from the normalized frames. C-SVM for each dynamic gesture is trained using training data which consists of positive data and negative data. The final gesture is chosen with the largest value of C-SVM values. The proposed gesture recognition algorithm can be applied to the interactive storybook as gesture interface.
