  • 유럽핵물리입자연구소, CERN은 대형강입자가속기(LHC)가 작동할 때 얻을 수 있는 순간의 장면을 스냅샷으로 남기기 위해 충분한 민감도와 동작 범위를 가진 탐지기가 필요했다. 이렇게 개발된 방사선 탐지기술은 유럽우주국 ESA에 의해 우주로 날아갔다. 그리고 이제는 역사적인 예술품을 분석하고, 위조품을 발견하는 데 사용되고 있다.

  • 지상변압기는 수용가에 직접적으로 전력을 공급하는 역할을 수행하며 저압 선로의 고장으로부터 계통을 보호하기 위한 보호장치를 구비한다. 본 기술지원은 지상변압기의 STP 미동작에 따른 화재원인을 분석하고 적정동작범위를 제안한다.

The Kinetic Analysis of Arabesque Turn Motion in Modern Dance by Upper Extremity Usage (상지이용유무에 따른 현대무용 아라베스크 턴 동작의 운동역학적 분석)

  • This study puts the purpose in providing the scientific basis of dance motion as an artistic expression by analyzing the kinematic variable and the distribution factor of power affecting the motion, which is connected to the turn, right after the arabesque motion according to the existence and non existence of using the arm in the arabesque motion of modern dance. As a result of this study, arabesque turn motion, not using the upper limbs, used more turning force of head and body than the arabesque turn motion, using the upper limbs, and arabesque turn using the upper limbs obtained the turning force, using the right shoulder. The range of the hip joint on the left and the position change of left tiptoe in the Arabesque turn motion using the upper limbs is largely ascended to the vertical axis, while, the position of tiptoe in the Arabesque turn motion, not using the upper limbs is dropped to the lower part of each event. In the replacement of body center, Arabesque turn motion using the upper limbs is moved more to the turning axis than arabesque turn motion not using the upper limbs. As a result of maximum vertical ground reaction force, Arabesque turn motion using the upper limbs appeared to be a lower value than the Arabesque turn motion not using the upper limbs.

  • Stable-state behaviors of asynchronous sequential machines represented as finite state machines can be corrected by feedback control schemes. In this paper, we propose a state feedback control scheme for input/state asynchronous machines with uncertain transitions. The considered asynchronous machine is deterministic, but its state transition function is partially known due to model uncertainty or inner logic errors. The control objective is to compensate the behavior of the closed-loop system so that it matches a sub-behavior of a prescribed model despite uncertain transitions. Furthermore, during the execution of corrective action, the controller reflects the exact knowledge of transitions into the next step, i.e., the range of the behavior of the closed-loop system can be enlarged through learning. The design procedure for the proposed controller is described in a case study.

Design of High-Power and High-Efficiency Broadband Amplifier for Jamming Using GaN HEMT (GaN HEMT를 이용한 Jamming용 고출력 고효율 광대역 증폭기 설계)

  • 본 논문에서는 GaN HEMT를 이용하여 Jamming용 System에 사용될 수 있는 고효율 및 고출력 특성을 가지는 광대역 Amplifier를 제작하였다. Jamming System에서 핵심이 되는 Amplifier는 넓은 범위의 주파수에서 통상적으로 사용되는 출력 신호에 비해 보다 높은 출력의 신호를 구현하는 것이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 GaN HEMT에 안정적인 전원 공급을 위한 음 전원 Bias 제어 회로와 Sequence 회로 및 온도에 따른 Gain 보상 회로를 구현하였으며, 500~2500MHz의 광대역에서 동작하면서 50W 이상의 출력을 낼 수 있도록 설계하였다. 출력 전력이 향상과 안정적인 동작을 위해 Main 출력 단은 60Watt 급의 GaN HEMT 소자와 광대역 Coupler를 이용하여 Balanced Structure로 설계하였다. 제작된 광대역 Amplifier는 30V 단일 전원에서 동작하도록 설계되었고, 크기는 140*90mm이다. 동작주파수 대역(500~2500MHz)에서 Small Signal Gain 63dB와 Gain Flatness ${\pm}$2dB, -10dB 이하의 Input Return Loss를 가진다. CW(Continuous Wave) Signal을 이용하여 측정하였으며, 50Watt 이상의 Saturation Power에서 최대 45%, 최소 28% 정도의 효율 특성을 보였다.

  • Due to a recent advance on the internet access technologies such as ADSL and ISDN, ti becomes possible to watch movies or listen to music at home through the internet. In this paper, we propose Implementation technique and expenence we lcarnet in the development of media plavers operating on Q+ reall-time operating system. The media player can manipulate MPS, MPEG-1, and MPEG-4 streams, and the decofing routime is implemented by software. Ths medial player is operated on the digital TV set-top-box and is implomented by using Q+ librares. In this paper, we focus on programming technique on q+ real-time operating system and performance enhancement technique.

  • 이 연구의 목적은 뇌성마비 아동에게 앉은 자세에서 현수를 이용하여 체중지지를 해주었을 때 상지기능에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보는 것이다. 연구대상자는 뇌성마비 아동 5명과 뇌종양 아동 1명이었다. 연구대상자에게 harness를 착용하여 부분적 체중지지를 하기 전과 착용한 상태에서 손 뻗기 동작을 3차원 동작분석기를 이용하여 어깨관절과 손뻗기 동작에 걸린 시간을 측정하였고, Box and Block 검사를 실시하여 체중지지 전과 착용 시 상지 기능을 비교하였다. 자료분석은 윌콕슨 부호순위검정을 사용하였다. 어깨관절의 관절 가동범위와 Box and Block 검사에서는 유의한 차이가 없었으나, 팔뻗기 동작의 수행 시간에는 유의한 차이가 있었다(p<.05). 연구 대상자의 수가 적고, 대상자 마다 연령 및 손상의 정도가 서로 다르기 때문에 연구결과를 일반화하여 해석하기에는 제한점이 있지만, 앉은 자세에서 harness를 이용하여 부분적 체중지지를 적용하였을 때 상지의 기능 향상에 도움을 줄 수 있으리라 생각하며 향후 다수를 대상으로 한 연구가 필요하리라 생각한다.

Motion Estimation Algorithm to Guarantee Hard Realtime Operation (경성 실시간 동작을 보장하는 움직임 추정 알고리즘)

  • This paper proposes a motion estimation algorithm with run-time adaptive workload control. It has optimized performance within limited hardware resources while guaranteeing hard realtime operation. It performs maximum searches within hard realtime constraints, since it determines search steps and workload adaptively. It reduces the hardware size to 1/4~1/400 of conventional algorithms, while its PSNR degradation is only 0.02~0.44 dB. It can be easily applied to most conventional fast algorithms, so it is useful to design realtime encoder chips.

  • Conventional phase shift full bridge (PSFB) converter has serious voltage oscillation problem across the secondary rectifier diodes, which would require the dissipate snubber circuit, thus degrades the overall efficiency. To overcome this problem a new simple voltage oscillation reduction technique (VORT) which effectively reduce the voltage oscillation of the secondary rectifier diodes for phase shift full bridge converter is proposed. Therefore, no dissipate snubber for rectifier diodes is needed. In addition, since it has wide zero voltage switching (ZVS) range, high efficiency can be achieved. Operational principle, analysis of voltage oscillation, and design consideration are presented compare with that of the conventional PSFB converter. To confirm the validity of the proposed VORT, experimental results from a 420W prototype are presented.

Adaptive Design Techniques for High-speed Toggle 2.0 NAND Flash Interface Considering Dynamic Internal Voltage Fluctuations (고속 Toggle 2.0 낸드 플래시 인터페이스에서 동적 전압 변동성을 고려한 설계 방법)

  • Recently, NAND Flash memory structure is evolving from SDR (Single Data Rate) to high speed DDR(Double Data Rate) to fulfill the high performance requirement of SSD and SSS. Accordingly, the proper ways of transferring data that latches valid data stably and minimizing data skew between pins by using PHY(Physical layer) circuit techniques have became new issues. Also, rapid growth of speed in NAND flash increases the operating frequency and power consumption of NAND flash controller. Internal voltage variation margin of NAND flash controller will be narrowed through the smaller geometry and lower internal operating voltage below 1.5V. Therefore, the increase of power budge deviation limits the normal operation range of internal circuit. Affection of OCV(On Chip Variation) deteriorates the voltage variation problem and thus causes internal logic errors. In this case, it is too hard to debug, because it is not functional faults. In this paper, we propose new architecture that maintains the valid timing window in cost effective way under sudden power fluctuation cases. Simulation results show that the proposed technique minimizes the data skew by 379% with reduced area by 20% compared to using PHY circuits.
