The purpose of the study wast to determine the effect of slides exposure of different cultural architecture and interiors on students discriminating abilities of cultural differences among China, Japan, and Korea. Pre-test post-test experimental design was used. To measure students cultural discriminating abilities, a scale of 48 graphic items representing latticeworks of 3 countries was designed. For the treatment, 20 pictures showing representative architecture and interior spaces of each country thereby a total of 60 slides was selected. Subjects were 118 undergraduate students majoring in interior design. After measuring students' critical ability, the slide images were shown in country's order without explanation. After the exposure, post measures with the same instruments were done. To find the statistically significant difference, paired t-test was used. result indicated that the slide exposure have direct and positive influence on students cultural discriminating abilities. Therefore the model can be efficiently used in the educational setting to give student experience of cultural diversity.

Confucius, whose life coincided with the Warring States period of China, is one of the most respected sages in world history whose teachings and life produced countless disciples in China, Korea, and Japan. There are innumerable pictures, sculptures, and other artworks that portray memorable deeds of Confucius and interesting anecdotes that involve his pupils. One of the most popular subjects for these Confucian portrayals is the anecdote in which Confucius and his pupil, Zhi Ru, discover a tilting vessel at an ancestral shrine in the Lu dynasty and use it to understand the doctrine of the mean. The vessel becomes the basis for the famous Chinese expression, "the cautionary vessel beside one's seat," which is nowadays used to denote one's motto for life. Portraits of these tilting vessels can be divided between those showing the vessels only and others that show Confucius observing the vessels. The former serve as visual reminders, for rulers and policy makers, of the doctrine of the mean that is necessary to fair and righteous governance. The latter form part of the pictorial biography of Confucius with educational content and messages. Interestingly, portraits of Confucius observing or studying tilting vessels have been famous among members of the royal court and the literati, circulated either as single artworks or included in the folding screens of human portraits. Portrayals of other Confucian anecdotes are mostly found in albums that visualize the genealogy of the Way; in contrast, the portraits of Confucius and the tilting vessels were included in folding screens that were popular among the literati that enjoyed stylish works of art and antiques. The portraits of tilting vessels thus highlight the diverse functions and symbolic value of human portraits. This study classifies the portraits of tilting vessels into various forms, and analyzes the period-and objective-dependent changes and characteristics in these portraits. With its exploration of the diverse functions and aspects of portraits of Confucian anecdotes, this study will shed new light on how ancient artists reanimated the lives of great sages and how these artworks differ in their expressions and styles.

The common concerns of leadership approaches were focused on finding leadership factors or necessity of leadership change to proper leadership styles adapt to contingent change through observing various leaders' behaviors for improving organizational effectiveness. Basically, they assumed that the human could be adapt to any conditions regardless of his inherent characters though it is perceived generally that human beings have different attitudes and behaviors toward the same fact, condition, situation, etc. In other words, inherent factors that cause individual differences have been neglected but concerned only about postnatal environments which influence human characters in previous leadership studies. A number of studies concerning inherent human characters have been worked in Asia for the past thousands years, which enable answering to the questions; why the human beings have different characters and personalities, and how to manage them in the given life conditions. In this research, four type human theory(called Sasang Theory) which has already been widely used in medical field in Korea will be introduced and applied to leadership theory to indicate inherent causal factors of the human character that are expected to influence leadership styles. In process, two different methods, one is for leadership theory and the other is for Sasang theory, have to be considered to match the different ideas. The theory is so predictable that the result implies possibilities of further future researches in the organizational fields by presupposing human behavior.

This study conducted an actual condition survey with users in order to examine the Graphic User Interface (GUI) design appearing in fast food Digital Information Display (DID). Selecting four restaurants with high sales in the hamburger industry in 2017, including Lotteria, McDonald's, Burger King, and Mom's Touch, based on this, this study investigated and analyzed GUI visual components appearing in DID, including layout, character, color, graphics, and videos based on this. As a result, this study could propose a design plan providing users with the layout that can be clearly and neatly divided, characters attracting attention with high readability, colors with high visibility, graphics attract interest, and videos with various contents, rather than a complex approach for efficient GUI design, analyzing the environmental factors of fast food restaurants.

This study aims to suggest a desirable dietary methods based on the oriental medicated dietary effects based on the schema of four qi and five flavors of foods originated from the yin-yang and five phase theory through clear understanding of the theory of oriental medicated dietary in a modern point of view, and through experimental analysis on the nutrient and dietary effect of 4 medicinal plants. We expect it can show us the way for promoting more healthy life styles and for preventing adult diseases by following our own medicated dietary theory. We should develop our own culinary and dietary culture which is suitable for our physical and genetic conditions for our healthy and happy lives. To successfully develop and introduce them, we should analyze their dietary effects scientifically based on both the theory of nutrialogy and the oriental medicated dietary in a modern point of view.

chaos이론은 현재 사회과학과 자연과학의 많은 분야에 있어서 연구 수단 또는 연구 대상으로서의 폭발적인 인기를 누리고 있다. 열 . 유체역학, 동력학, 구조역학, 화학(화학 분야에 있어서의 chaos개념은 Prigogine(1978년Nobel상 수상자)과 Stengers의 저서에 잘 기술되어 있음), 플라즈마 물리학, 전자공학, 전기공학 등 우리들에게 친숙한 학문은 말할 것 없고, 의학, 생태학, 생물학, 인구학, 경제학, 회계학 등에서도 종래의 것과는 완전히 다른 시각에서 현상을 분석하고 예측하 려는 노력을 하고 있다. 그리고 최근에는 computer graphics 에서도 간단한 수식 모델로 fractal set를 형성시켜, 각종 나무, 꽃, 파도, 구름등 자연의 산물들을 성공적으로 묘사하고 있다. Gleick는 chaos이론에 의한 각 분야에 있어서의 새로운 현상을 Newton-Einstein 이후의 또 다른 과학 혁명이라 부르고 있다. 그리고, 지금까지의 서양 학문이 줄곧 세부화의 길을 달려 왔으나 chaos에 의해 그 과정이 역으로 될 것이라는 인식이 일고 있다. 이는 chaos의 질서의 법칙이 보편타당성(universality)의 일면을 갖고 있다는데 기인되며, 종합화를 지향하는 동양의 제반 학 문과 그 성격상 일맥상통한 점이 있어, chaos학이 동양인의 기호 학문이 되리라 믿는다.

Graham Greene's The Quiet American is a war novel set in Vietnam. Thus, although war-related political stories are mainly unfolded, this novel presumes that Westerners are basically superior to the colored Vietnamese. In addition to racial issues, it describes the dual discrimination and inequality that women face. Phung, a Vietnamese woman who wishes to live a rich and comfortable life through marriage to a Western man, is a gender underdog oppressed by the capital and males. She is discriminated against by selfish views created by men, such as being expressed as an ignorant woman who can feel physical pain but not mental pain and being described as a partner to satisfy men's pleasure. Fowler and Pyle, the male lead characters who are gender strong, treat the Asian woman as a low-status person who is qualitatively different from Westerner and use and exploit the woman simply to satisfy their selfish needs. Therefore, it is hard to say that this story involves true love, as it is based on an unequal relationship. Eventually, Pyle's death brings Phung back to Fowler, confirming that Asian women are unable to escape from the gender underdog of Western men.

This study used a method of comparing and analyzing various editions of Jeokcheonsu, and aims to confirm why different views have arisen on commentaries that differ according to the perspective of one original text, which interpretation is more valid among them. It is not easy to grasp the theories of Myeongri because Jeokcheonsu is composed of the sentences of Si-bu with being well refined and having hidden meaning. Various perspectives makes the people more confused in reading commentaries. Lim Cheol-cho make additional annotations and try to subdivide the contents of Jeokcheonsu and classify them with quoting lots of 512 exemplifications in Ming Dynasty, and it is his great contribution to the Myeongri theory. The perspective that 'Eokbu Theory' is core contents of Myeongri theory in the first half of Jeokcheonsu is predominate. The sentence that 'Eokbu Theory' is mentioned for the first time is 'Cheayong, and we can quote 'Jeongsin', 'Soewang' and 'Junghwa' as a sentence paired together.'Eokbu Theory' of Jeokcheonsu is discussed continuously in the 'Gangyou' 'Junggwa' of Myeongri particulars which is connected in the middle of Jeokcheonsu.

This research paper is aims to study the Zhu Xi school of Neo-Confucianism culture based on the Sosu seowon. Also This research paper is to discuss study and scholars correlation the Sosu seowon. The Sosu seowon is mainly made up of the Zhu Xi school of Neo-Confucianism development. The Sosu seowon was the cradle of scholars and bureaucrats. Scholars who study of orthodox Neo-Confucianism in the our country was respected academic spirit of An Whyang in the study of orthodox Neo-Confucianism. An Whyang is symbolic existence of the Sosu seowon. He knew well the importance of learning. He was the person to represent the Sosu seowon. Toegye and Sinje are handed down to the fundamental principle brought in on the orthodox Neo-Confucianism caused by An Whyang. This research paper is to based upon on academic spirit of An Whyang in the study of orthodox Neo-Confucianism. Scholars who study of orthodox Neo-Confucianism thought that the nation's happiness made appointment to a competent person learned the orthodox Neo-Confucianism caused by An Whyang related to the Humanism education.

In this paper, the news coverage of Chosun Art Exhibition(鮮展) in the Japanese occupational era were analyzed by the discourse analysis technique. Japan was advocated the slogan of 'escape from the asia go to the west' and calls itself as western civilized nations during Japanese occupational era. Japan's colonial rule in Asia has created a Japanese orientalism that Japan is considered as developed, and the other Asian countries are considered underdeveloped countries. The media discourse of Chosun Art Exhibition make to believe that the 'backwardness' of Korean local color arts, unlike the 'colonial superiority' of Japanese arts. In the analysis of the newspapers, Maeil Shinbo and Donga Ilbo, Japan recognize Korean arts as the 'assimilation' of Japanese arts, but with the other hand recognize the 'exclusion' of Japanese arts had a dual-in. Especially, Donga Ilbo has a vision of orientalism on the one hand and has a nationalistic perspective on the other hand.
