This study aimed at examining the factors affecting citizen engagement in community health promotion program that a local government offered for residents. A descriptive study was conducted with a sample of 418 participants who completed 10,000-Step Walking Program, sponsored by the local government of B city. Data were collected, using a self-reported questionnaire, and analyzed with statistical methods, including T-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression. There were significantly different in the number of participation days in the program by material support(pace counter(p<.001), exercise notebook(p<.001), piggy bank((p=.002)), informational support(Walking training, leadership training)(p<.001), promotion events and meetings, and membership of exercise club(p<.001). Using exercise notebook(p<.001) and exercise club membership(p<.001)) were the supporting factors affecting citizen engagement in the walking program. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of a Goldberg device learning program on primary gifted students' creative personality. Based on the concept of creative personality derived from a literature review, a learning program has been developed and applied to 18 primary gifted class students and 20 invention club students. Creative personality consists of eight components: patience/persistence, confidence, humor, curiosity, imagination, openness, adventurous spirits, and independence. Creative personality tests were conducted before and after Goldberg device learning program lessons. The results of the tests indicate that (1) the Goldberg device learning program affected all eight components of creative personality positively; and (2) the invention club students showed a greater improvement in creative personality than the gifted class students. These findings suggest that Goldberg device learning programs can be effective to learn various scientific principles and improve students' creative personality.

In today's era when the concept of a lifelong job has disappeared, starting a business is an essential consideration for university students not only as an alternative factor in finding employment, but also from the perspective of the entire life. Today, most universities in Korea are operating entrepreneurship education programs, such as entrepreneurship classes as a curriculum, and start-up clubs as a non-curricular program to foster entrepreneurship among university students. In previous studies, entrepreneurship is a factor influencing the entrepreneurship intention. The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the effects of university students' entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurship intention through a entrepreneurship education program (participation in a start-up club, taking an entrepreneurship course) on entrepreneurship behavior. There are some empirical studies on whether entrepreneurship education programs such as participation in startup contests affect the entrepreneurship intention of university students, but not much compared to their importance. It is difficult to find an empirical study examining the effects of entrepreneurship and start-up education programs on entrepreneurship intention and entrepreneurship behavior in domestic and foreign studies. Therefore, in this study, one domestic university that operates a start-up club and a entrepreneurship course was selected and the online questionnaire was distributed to all current students, and the collected 127 questionnaires were used for empirical analysis As a result of the study, first, it was confirmed that initiative and risk-taking, which are sub-factors of entrepreneurship of university students, had a significant positive effect on entrepreneurial intention, respectively, and that innovation did not have a significant positive effect. Second, it was confirmed that university students' participation in a start-up club, a sub-factor of the start-up education program, had a significant positive effect on their entrepreneurial intention, and that taking a start-up course did not have a significant positive effect. Third, it was confirmed that the entrepreneurial intention of university students had a significant positive effect on entrepreneurship behavior. Fourth, it was confirmed that the entrepreneurial intention had a mediating effect between each of the factors of risk-taking, and participation in a start-up club and entrepreneurial behavior. This study suggests that university students can increase their risk-taking, increase their entrepreneurial intention by participating in a startup club, and reach a entrepreneurial behavior through this as a medium.
This study was to investigate the changes of attitudes related to science of students in high school science club through modified the creative-experience activity model program. To begin with, using the creative-experience activity model program the programs adapted to the school practices have been developed through consultation of the teachers. The developed program was performed on students in the high school science club. Then we studied the changes of attitudes related to science of students through their outcomes of the activities and face-to-face talk. The change of attitudes related to science of students is positive, especially problem-solving, curiosity, a sense of responsibility, interests toward science, interests toward science related careers, and leisure interest in science. Interest for science as hobby were influenced by used tools like telescopes and experimental tools. Interest for science class were not effective to change to positive by creative experience activity. It seems to be due to creative experience activity were not connected with science class. The program to participate in the activities was more effective than to observe with visit for the change of the attitude related to science. Also, the programs with activities contained scientific knowledge were more effective.
The purpose of this study is to develop an astronomical observing education program that enables high school students to inquire the distance of astronomical bodies based on the research methods (observing open clusters and exploring collected big data) using small telescopes and DSLR cameras. After analyzing the 2015 revised science curriculum, we developed science club activity materials and teacher-student learning contents suitable for high school earth science education. A panel of six teachers and researchers of earth science education and astronomy, participated in developing the educational materials. The validity of the program was verified through establishing the agreement among the panels after in-depth discussions and clarifications. The program, developed with 10 lessons in total, showed high satisfactory content validity (CVI, .89) and conformity of school class (Likert's 5 point scales, 4.17). The feedback of the panels and the Delphi analysis continued to improve the quality of the program. The pilot testing result with high school students (N=9) showed that the students' satisfaction rate was high as 4.48. Using the astronomical observational education program of this study is expected to contribute in improving the convergence educational activity, interest, curiosity, and inquiry ability of students in the universe and the astronomical bodies.

Fear to start-up failures has been known to have a negative impact on entrepreneurial intention. This is one of the reasons why the government adopts a policy to help university students overcome their fear of start-ups. Setting educational goals to foster innovative and progressive entrepreneurs, universities have been conducting entrepreneurship education, but it is hard to say that constructive results have been achieved so far. Rather than adopting the practice of optional entrepreneurship education, there is a need to have all university freshmen mandatorily take the course of entrepreneurship education. This study aims to uncover the impact of more aggressive entrepreneurship education position in the university by analyzing empirical data. The relationship between an entrepreneurship level and entrepreneurial intention was tested, and start-up fear was also considered. In the research model, self-leadership and self-efficacy were included as regressors to entrepreneurship levels. Especially, this study tested moderate effects of start-up community during the course. The results from the sample of 2,500 freshmen indicate that entrepreneurship level is significantly improved by taking the course; however, fear to start-up failures remains still. In addition, empirical findings show that putting start-up communities in the entrepreneurship education helps students by moderating self-leadership and self-efficacy. This study extends our knowledge of entrepreneurship education in university by analyzing university freshmen data empirically.
