  • 연비절감 및 조향감 향상을 위한 EHPS 시스템은 엔진 동력 기반의 HPS(Hydraulic Power Steering)시스템과는 달리 탈 엔진형 조향 기술로써 동력원인 BLDC 모터, 고압펌프 일체형 모듈, 상용 HPS 시스템의 기본 유압회로, 조향계 시스템 및 BLDC 모터를 제어하고 최적 조향력을 생성하기 위한 로직이 포함된 ECU로 구성되며. 주요구성 모듈은 펌프부, 모터부, 제어부로 분류된다. 본 논문에서는 펌프부의 외접형 Gear펌프의 시제품 제작하였고 구동토크 측정실험의 Data를 통해 기존 EHPS용 Gear펌프와 비교평가를 하였다.

  • 병렬형 마일드 HEV(Hybrid Electric Vehicles)는 동력변환과정이 적어 구동계 전체의 효율이 직렬형에 비해 우수하고 다양한 구조를 가질 수 있으며 기존차량에 적용하기 쉽다는 장점이 있으나 구조 및 제어가 복잡하다. 따라서 병렬형 마일드 HEV의 성능을 예측하고 적절한 제어기를 설계하기 위해서는 구성요소의 종류 및 규격과 제어전략에 따른 HEV의 성능을 해석할 수 있는 체계적인 방법이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 Simulink 소프트웨어를 이용한 모듈화 모델링에 의하여 병렬형 HEV의 구성요소를 모델링하고 이로부터 병렬형 HEV의 성능해석 및 운전제어전략의 특성을 비교할 수 있도록 한다.

트라이볼로지 관점에서 본 피스톤-실린더계의 연구개발

  • 신엔진 개발에서 동력을 증대시키려는 연구와 얻어진 에너지가 엔진을 구동시키기 위한 내부에 너지로 소비되지 않고 가능한 제동마력으로 보내려는 에너지 절약의 측면에서 접근하려는 연구가 있다. 전자의 연구개발은 연료와 공기의 열유동 해석, 혼합비 조절, 점화시기 및 방법, 연료의 선정, 터보차저의 설치, 즉 엔진에 공급되는 고열원부의 열량 $Q_H$ 를 증가 시키든지 또는 대기중으로 방출하는 저열원부의 열량$Q_L$ 을 어떻게 감소시키느냐에 관심을 가지고 있는 연구이다. 그러나 후자의 경우는 이미 생산된 에너지를 가능한 한 소비시키지 않고 모두 제동 마력으로 보내도록 노력하는 연구, 즉 트라이몰로지에 기초를 둔 연구개발 분야이다. 엔진개발 에서 트라이볼로지의 역할은 대단히 중요하나 기술 자체가 대단히 미시적이기 때문에 신기술 개발이 대단히 어려우며, 이 분야의 필요성이 크게 대두된 것도 십수년 전에 불과하므로 기술 축적이 많이 안된 분야 중의 하나이다. 트라이볼로지 기술의 필요성이 현저하게 부각되기는 하 였지만 해결하기가 대단히 어려운 분야이다. 그러나 일단 섬세하고도 미시적인 트라이볼로지 기술의 벽을 극복하면 큰 효과를 발휘하게 된다. 고도의 첨단기술을 개발하고 적용해야 하는 선진기술국에서는 에너지 절약의 측면보다는 새로운 기술개발의 측면에서 트라이볼로지 기술을 적극적으로 지원하고 있다.

  • This paper introduces the design concepts and characteristics of WinDS3000$^{TM}$ which is a trade mark of Doosan's 3MW offshore/onshore wind turbine. WinDS3000$^{TM}$ has been designed in consideration of high RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Serviceability) and cost effectiveness for the TC Ia condition in GL guideline. An integrated drive train design with an innovative three-stage gearbox has been introduced to minimize nacelle weight of the wind turbine and to enhance a high reliability for transmission. A permanent magnet generator with full converter system has been introduced to get higher efficiency in part load operation, and grid friendliness use of 50 Hz and 60 Hz grid. A pitch regulated variable speed power control with individual pitch system has been introduced to regulate rotor torque while generator reaction torque can be adjusted almost instantaneously by the associated power electronics. An individual pitch control system has been introduced to reduce fatigue loads of blade and system. The wind turbine has been also equipped with condition monitoring and diagnostic systems in order to meet maintainability requirements. And internal maintenance crane in nacelle has been developed. As a result, the maintenance cost was dramatically reduced and maintenance convenience also enhanced in offshore condition.

Common Rail Pressure Control Algorithm for Passenger Car Diesel Engines Using Quantitative Feedback Theory (QFT를 이용한 디젤엔진의 커먼레일 압력 제어알고리즘 설계 연구)

  • This paper proposes a common rail pressure control algorithm for passenger car diesel engines. For handling the parameter-varying characteristics of common rail systems, the quantitative feedback theory (QFT) is applied to the design of a robust rail pressure control algorithm. The driving current of the pressure control valve and the common rail pressure are used as the input/output variables for the common rail system model. The model parameter uncertainty ranges are identified through experiments. Rail pressure controller requirements in terms of tracking performance, robust stability, and disturbance rejection are defined on a Nichols chart, and these requirements are fulfilled by designing a compensator and a prefilter in the QFT framework. The proposed common rail pressure control algorithm is validated through engine experiments. The experimental results show that the proposed rail pressure controller has a good degree of consistency under various operating conditions, and it successfully satisfies the requirements for reference tracking and disturbance rejection.

Analysis of Engine Operation Condition by Using Coastdown Test under Gear Engaged Condition (기어 물림 상태의 타행 주행 저항을 이용한 엔진 운전 조건의 분석)

  • Conventional method to transform vehicle driving condition to engine operation mode is to use vehicle road load under neutral gear and mechanical efficiency of drivetrain. But this method requires additional measurement of efficiency of drivetrain on a test rig. And this measurement is normally done at fixed speed and thus estimated accuracy of engine operation mode is not considered to be high enough. This study suggests new method to calculate engine operation mode for prescribed driving mode such as NEDC using vehicle coastdown test under gear engaged condition without measurement of mechanical efficiency of drivetrain. Coastdown test was done under neutral and gear engaged condition for comparison and also trial to extract mechanical loss of drivetrain was carried out. Calculated engine torque by conventional and newly suggested method was compared with actually measured torque of a vehicle on a chassis dynamometer during NEDC. Newly suggested method showed slightly higher accuracy of accumulated brake work during NEDC.

The Effects of Controller Stiffness on the Vibration of Robot Joints (제어기강성이 로봇관절의 진동에 미치는 영향)

  • With the prevalent use of robot, the interests in moving speed of robot have been increasing for the purpose of upgrading performance of production. But the faster robot manipulator moves, the worse working accuracies are. And mechanical vibration is more and more serious with the increment of the moving speed of robot. So, the study on the cause and control method of robot vibration is one of the points of issue in robotics. This paper focuses on the vibration of 3 DOF parallel link drive mechanism robot. We assume that links of robot manipulator are `rigid' and joints are `flexible elements'. Governing equations of robot system including controller, servo amplifier, D.C servo motor, transmission with elasticity, and manipulator dynamics are derived. On the basis of modelling, we define `controller stiffness' by the proportional gain of controller and `stiffness of transmission'. Numerical and experimental research is performed to study vibration phenomena of robot induced from the variation of these two defined stiffnesses, and its results are shown.

  • This paper is analyzing the situation of the electric vehicle Industry and draw the policy implications to promote electric vehicle industry. Major automobile makers as GM, BMW, Nissan, Audi produce various electric vehicles. But in recent times, only few electric vehicle sold in the world. So, many automobile makers gave up the production of electric vehicles. and the fuel-cell vehicle will replace the electric vehicle as a environment car in the future. We should take the build up of eco system between vehicle makers and the small parts companies, construction of battery charging infrastructure, promotion of standardization activities, and the government's support to revive the electric vehicle industry.

  • Hybrid Electric Vehicles(HEVs) have seriously come into prevalence recently as car manufacturers and consumers have become more aware of the environmental and economic problems of conventional vehicles. For the alternative power-train and battery cooling systems in HEVs, an effective thermal management system is required, and many automakers are interested in using Brushless DC(BLDC) motors for cooling fans for the overall traction unit's performance and energy saving capability. This paper presents the development status of BLDC motors as major parts of the power-train, i.e. the engine cooling and battery cooling fans of HEVs. A design that uses BLDC motors for the power-train and each battery cooling fan, is successfully implemented through using electro-magnetic analysis, and prototype BLDC motors are examined. As experimental results, the BLDC motors achieved an efficiency of 85% as engine cooling fans and 72% as a battery thermal management fan motor. The electric cogging noise is significantly reduced by changing the skew of the slot pitch angle and optimizing the magnetic shape.

  • The mechanical system of wearable walking assist robot needs to be optimized for adapting with human body structure and the planned control algorithm should have a secure procedure when a incongruity situation which can cause musculoskeletal injury occurs because a wearable robot is attached to a body. The understanding of walking or musculoskeletal motions characteristics must be preceeded and analyzed for developing novel wearable walking assist robot. In this study we tried to find out the capacities of powers and torques of joint actuators to design optimized performances of system and to obtain the analysis data to figure out the characteristics of joint movements during some types of walk. The major types of walk and motion are stair climbing and descending, sit-to-stand motion, and slope walking. In this study all these motions were analyzed experimentally except slope walking.
