The purpose of this study is a similar experimental study before and after the inequality control group to compare cognitive function, daily living activities, and the degree of depression by applying an AI robot integrated management program using. The data was collected from June 4 to September 17, 2021, and the survey results of 17 people in the experimental group and 18 in the control group were analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 program. As a result of the study, the experimental group was significant in language function, activities of daily living, and depression. In particular, the results showed a decrease in moderate to severe depression and mild depression. Cognitive function was significant with long-term care grade and daily living activity with family living together. Therefore, if such non-face-to-face care technology is introduced to the elderly care field in the 'With Corona era', it is thought that it will contribute to cognitive function training and depression reduction of the elderly.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to understand public perception of home-based hospice and identify related factors. Methods: Between August 19, 2014 and August 30, 2014, data were collected using an E-mail questionnaire that was filled by 1,500 adults who were over 20 years of age. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$-test and logistic regression. Results: Among the respondents, 15.9% were aware of home-based hospice care, and 61.3% were willing to receive home-based hospice care. The factors that influenced the participants' willingness to use home-based hospice services included residential district, religion and private health insurance. Respondents who lived in Seoul (OR: 1.56, 95% CI: 1.04~2.33), Gwangju/Jeolla province (OR: 2.02, 95% CI: 1.23~3.32), Busan/Ulsan/South Gyeongsang province (OR: 1.81, 95% CI: 1.17~2.82) were more well-aware of home-based hospice care than those who lived in Incheon/Gyeonggi province. The faithful were more informed about the services than those without non-faithful participants (Roman Catholics (OR: 2.03, 95% CI: 1.30~3.17), Protestants (OR: 1.76, 95% CI: 1.22~2.53). Participants who had a private health insurance plan knew more about the services than those without one (OR: 1.45, 95% CI: 1.03~2.04). Conclusion: First, it is necessary to improve perception of the public and healthcare providers regarding home-based hospice care. The government should review a measure to institutionalize operation of a palliative care team at hospitals and community home-based hospice care centers.

  • The purpose of this study wa to analyze the impact of nurses' perceptions of care and professional self-concept on their organizational socialization. The participants were 193 nurses working in university hospitals and general hospitals in regions C and D. Data collection took place from July to August 2016, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis with IBM SPSS 22 software. The results indicated that educational level and professional self-concept are determining factors influencing organizational socialization. Nurses with an associate degree showed higher levels of organizational socialization compared to those with a bachelor's degree or higher, and higher levels of professional self-concept were associated with higher organizational socialization. Therefore, it is necessary for hospitals to implement effective human resource management that enables nurses of each educational level to quickly socialize within the organization, providing differentiated support and programs based on educational level. Additionally, continuous research is required to enhance nurses' professional self-concept and establish their work identity.

  • The study aimed to identify risk factors for falls as well as hospitalization status according to disease and demographic characteristics of demented inpatients by investigating the in-depth Injury Patient Surveillance System data collected by Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(KCDC). Older adults over 60 years old who were diagnosed with dementia were included(n=1,732). Their data were analyzed after being assigned to either a fall group or a non-fall group. STATA was used for statistical analyses, such as frequency analysis, chi-square (χ2) test, and logistics regression. It was found that 8.0% of the demented inpatients experienced falls. According to the analysis on category of fall and non-fall group were statistically significant difference in age and Charlson Comorbidity Index(CCI) and bone density deficiency. Based on the logistic regression analysis of factors affecting falls, older adults over 80 are 2.386 times more likely to fall and based on a target with a CCI of 0, the risk of falls is 0.421 times lower, finally based on those without bone density disorder, the fall risk for those with bone density disorder was 3.581 times higher. Therefore, we expect that the important about the factors relating to falls identified in this can not only be found valuable for educating inpatients with dementia and care-givers, but also be used as reference that supports clinical professionals to make decisions on falls management for patients with dementia.

  • This study examines the impact of Long-Term Care Insurance(LTCI) on family caregivers(especially focused on female household members) labor supply in South Korea. When public care and informal care are substitutes, LTCI will change allocation of time of family caregivers to spend more time to paid work. The impact of LTCI on labor supply depends on each country's institutional level of public care services. If public care can not substitute for informal care, labor supply of family caregivers will not rise significantly. The conclusions of vigorous empirical study from western countries' are incompatible and problem of endogeneity in terms of methodology has been raised consistently. The dataset of this study are used the third and ninth waves of Korea Welfare Panel. As a result, the introduction of LTCI had no effect on labor supply of household members. Robust findings suggest the positive effects of caregiving on labor market outcomes in simple comparison t-test, but not in fixed-effect regression. Compared with western countries, South Korea's public care services can be interpreted as a supplement to only part that remained at the level does not substitute informal care. These findings may suggest that if LTCI become much more prevalent in the future, senior citizens and family members will be able to choose the LTCI arrangement that best suits their needs.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of family resilience on willingness for self-sufficiency in self-sufficiency program participants and to verify the mediating effect of mental health in the relationship. The survey subjects were 283 participants from a local self-support center in Gangwon-do. As for the analysis method, descriptive statistics and difference verification were performed. Also, hierarchical regression analysis and mediating effect method were performed to verify the research model. First, as a result of the difference test, the level of self-support was higher when there was a caring family. The level of family resilience was higher in those who were in their 40s and 50s than in their 30s or less, married than unmarried, had normal or excellent health conditions than deplorable health conditions, and had a caring family. Mental health quality was higher in very healthy people rather than in people who had poor health. Also, people with no dept had a higher mental health quality. Second, as a result of analyzing the relationship of influence on self-support, the higher the age, the more caring families, the higher the level of family resilience and mental health, the higher the self-sufficiency. Third, as a result of the mediating effect analysis, mental health had a partial mediating effect between family resilience and willingness for self-sufficiency. Therefore, we discussed the implications for improving family resilience and mental health as a factor in improving the level of self-sufficiency in self-sufficiency program participants.
