COVID-19 has been affecting the library, not to mention society as a whole. Especially, there are many changes in the role and service of the university libraries as all the classes of the universities are turned into non-face-to-face and the use of the university libraries is restricted. The changes in users' use of information and communication behavior due to COVID-19 could be an opportunity for new utilization of human and material resources the university libraries have and for the development of services. However, on the contrary, the university libraries could face another crisis if they fail to respond appropriately to current changes. Therefore, it is necessary to grasp, analyze the impact of COVID-19 and plan how to respond. A survey on the effects of COVID-19 and the response of the university libraries and the perceptions of the university libraries found that most university libraries are responding appropriately to COVID-19. However, a survey on the perceptions of the present and future of the university libraries under COVID-19 showed that many survey respondents think COVID-19 would have a negative impact on the university libraries. This means that the changes caused by COVID-19 are causing a crisis and anxiety in the university libraries. Therefore, by working hard together, the university libraries need to present the university libraries' new role, service and direction in the post-COVID-19 era as well as responding to the current situation.

This study examines that in what types and to what extent. scholarly information is communicated through formal and informal communication channels among Korean physicists and also analyzes the behavioral traits of researchers participating in communication process. Based on the results from the data analysis, several suggestions are given in the viewpoint of the libraries and information librarians.

The study aims at understanding that the precedent information search Patterns of on-line database users compared to non-users have an effect on user satisfaction. The research team analyzed S college students' library system use patterns to evaluate the efficiency of library information services and systems and therefore to diverse factors to improve user satisfaction. The research showed higher satisfaction from on-line system users than non-users. To satisfy user needs the research recommends more devices access methods to information.

The information that has been created according to the complex environment and usage pattern of library user can provide context-aware information service through knowledge structuralization on whether it is a suitable situation for user. Accordingly, the development of a context model for defining the various contexts of library user and for the structuralization of interrelated context information is an essential requirement. This study examined the context concept and context modeling, and utilizing the concept of Activity Theory by Engestrom, the activity model of library user was designed as 1) subject, 2) object, 3) tools, 4) divison of labor, 5) community, and 6) rules. In addition, for the purpose of analyzing the context of library user, activity information was tracked to utilize the Shadow Tracking for observing and recording their forms, and the methodology of CAbAT (Context Analysis based on Activity Theory) was utilized for the collected activity information to analyze the user context model.

The Result of this study (1)In the case of KDI school of public policy and management, since it makes up a very interesting and diversified racial environment that shapes the multinational global community, there must be careful considerations for foreign students together with wide publicity about Korea on the side of the school headquarters. (2)The library must become familiar with the ways to utilize outside organizations in order to provide user education to the foreign students. (3)In order to make it perfectly sure for them to provide not only the secondary materials such as bibliography, index, and abstract, but also the necessary full-text from the preparatory stage of the students' studies. (4)The library must grasp the students' needs through communication and must promote the efficiency of library operation by introducing an information service strategy measure similar to that of FISP so they can acknowledge and provide necessary information to fulfill the students' academic needs in advance.

This study aims to analyze library user and circulation status based on the bigdata logs to identify characteristics by user group and propose methods for efficient management of library. The logs to be analyzed consist of user information, circulation information, service usage information registered at the National Library of Korea, Sejong. The user information logs contain 107,369 age data, 106,918 gender data, 106,838 residential data. The circulation information logs contain 536,083 circulation user data, 6,509,369 circulation count data, and the service usage information logs contain 82,813 data. For the analysis of characteristics by user group, the data were used for analyzing user status by age, gender, residence and circulation status by year, month, day. In addition, this study conducts FGI(Focus Group Interview) and linkage analysis with external data to identify factors for analysis results. Based on analysis results, improvement methods for helping library make effective decision-making were proposed. This study analyze empirically user and circulation status based on bigdata logs, and it has significance for being different form proceeding researches with less analysis data.

The purpose of this study is to develop an effective information service process based on user's characteristics and needs in academic libraries. The process was informed by analysis of the entire information service cycle using real users as an exploratory study. The interview process between the user and information provider, and the information provider's perspectives regarding information services demonstrated that the user's information and subject analysis, effective interview methods, communication skills, information provider's recognition of information services, and core ability are important elements for effective information services.

This study is to develop an operating model of Conspectus for online resources by using mechanistic quality factor. Based on some empirical statistics about resource use behaviour such as collection rate, use rate, search rate, the mechanistic quality factor was calculated and applied to each subject by adjusting its acquisition level of Conspectus. according to the result of this study, Acqusition levels of the subject such as technical science which shows higher in use rate, and those such as history and social science which show higher in search rate, should be adjusted to a higher acquisition level, and those of others to the same or a lower level.

This study aims to identify factors to be considered in designing and operating CD-ROM network systems efficiently and provide designers and operators with basic guidelines. In this study, the current status and problems of CD-ROM network systems at 72 domestic university libraries are examined, and user behavior and satisfaction of 64 actual users in 3 universities are analyzed. In addition, to examine the influenced correlation among the factors such as user satisfaction, system operating policy, system resources and system performance, $\chi^2(Chi-Square)$ test, F test and regression analysis are carried out and the factors influencing user satisfaction are examined.

In the digital environment where the Internet and IT change rapidly, researchers have utilized scientific information by relying on more complex and various media than before. This study performed a group interview with thirteen questions derived from five categories in order to understand information needs and information seeking behaviors of Korean doctoral researchers in this information environment. The five categories are (1) identifying information resource usage pattern, (2) attitude towards information resources and reasons for use, (3) IT skills and information literacy, (4) physical library use vs electronic access, and (5) attitudes toward the digital library. In particular, this study focused on analyzing similarities and differences of two groups of researchers selected equally in the humanities and social sciences and in science and technology by doing the interview. The research showed that there are no differences in the goal of using scientific information, information literacy, the ratio of using written materials to electronic resources, and routes of acquiring research ideas or knowledge, but there are differences in materials used for studies or researches and in favorite scientific portal sites.
