The relations between second-stage temperatures and gases partial pressures at the stainless steel high vacuum chamber by cryogenic pumping (크라이오 펌프를 이용한 스테인레스 스틸 고진공용기 배기에서 2차 냉각판 온도와 용기 내부의 기체 부분압 관계)

  • Recently, the importance of clean vacuum and partial pressure measurement of gas species has been increased in the vaccum process. In this study, the partial pressures of $H_2$, He, C, N, $O_2$, $H_2O $, Ar/2, $N_2$(CO), Ar, $CO_2$ were measured by residual gas analyzer according to temperature of cryogenic pump which is used to clean vacuum generation and compared. The experimental results showed that the cryopanel temperature was reached to 12K after 72 minutes of pumping and after 25hours, the partial pressures in percent were 24.9 %, 6.6%, 5.5 %, 2.2 %, 3.8%, 30.7%, 6.5%, 6.1 %, 5.5%, 8.2% for $H_2$, He, C, N, $O_2$, $H_2O $, Ar/2, $N_2$, Ar, $CO_2$ respectively. The dominant gases were $H_2$ and $H_2O $, and the partial pressures were relatively high compare to other gases.

Studies on the Seed Production of the Puffer Takifugu rubripes (Temminck et Schlegel) (자주복, Takifugu rubripes (Temminck et Schlegel)의 종묘양산에 관한 연구)

  • As a part for the development of effective mass production techniqne of the puffer, Takifugu rubripes. seedfish, an investigation was carried out in 1989. 1991 and 1992 to determine the optimum starting feeding time of rotifers as a starting food for the fish larvae, and to find out the influences of the light intensitiy and LD cycles on the Artemia consumption by the larvae. The optimum starting time of feeding with rotifer. Brachionus Plicatilis was 2nd to 5th day from hatching resulting in survival of $96.5\~90.0\%$. Optimum light conditions for maximum feeding for fish larvae with Artemia were 1000 lux in 6mm, 600 lux in 8mm, and 200 lux in total length of 10-12 mm larvae. Relationship between total length (X: mm) of fish (6-12 mm in total length) and light intensity (Y: lux) for maximum feeding was:Y=2200-200X (r=-1.000). Relationship between days from hatching (X) and total length (Y: mm) of puffer fry was :Y=1.6427+0.2540X(r=0.9814) for 3 to 36 days after hatching, Y=-33.1452+1.1867X(r= 0.9854) for 36 to 68 days after hatching. Survival rate for 68 days after hatching was $24.1\%$ and the range of water temperature during this period was $21.25\pm1.67^{\circ}C$.

Effects of Feeding Frequency on Oxygen Consumption of Nile Tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus, in a Recirculating Aquaculture System (순환여과식 사육 시설에서 사료 공급 횟수에 따른 나일틸라피아, Oreochromis niloticus의 산소 소비량)

  • This study was conducted to test actual oxygen consumption rates of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) at a commercial scale high density culture tank in the recirculating culture system, with a special emphasis on the oxygen consumption rate of this species with different daily feeding frequencies. Nile tilapia, an average of 400 g and a total wright of 390 kg, were stocked in a circular concrete tank of 2.9 m in diameter and 0.8 m in depth, in a recirculating culture system. The fish were fed commercial diet 1, 2, 5, and 9 times per day between 09:00 h and 19:00 h. feed was evenly supplied where the fish were fed more than once a day. Dissolved oxygen of influent and effluent water was monitored every 50 seconds by a computer with electrodes for 24 hours. The standard metabolic rate of tilapia was $39.31{\pm}4.4mg\;O_2/kg$ fish/hr in the present study. The maximum oxygen consumption was reached between 30 to 50 minutes after feeding. The maximum oxygen consumption levels of 1, 2, 5, and 9 feeding times per day were 161.2, 123.4, 111.1 and 111.1 mg $O_2/kg$ fish/hr, respectively. While the mean oxygen consumption levels of 1, 2, 5, and 9 feeding times per day were $79.9{\pm}21.5,\;81.3{\pm}14.8,\;84.2{\pm}9,9$ and $98,9{\pm}11.0mg\;O_2/kg$ fish/hr, respectively. These results show that oxygen consumption rates are not much different between the feeding frequencies. These results could be used to design to provide desirable oxygen supply system in the recirculating high-density tilapia culture system.

T800/AD6005계 복합재의 습기투과에 관한 연구

  • 복합재는 강도가 높고 가볍기 때문에 최근 로켓의 연소관으로 널리 사용되고 있다. 그런데 이 복합재 로켓 연소관은 제조 후 대기 환경에 장기적으로 노출되어 있기 때문에 금속 연소관과는 달리 온도 또는 습도 등의 환경에 대한 영향을 고려해야 한다. 더구나 연소관은 내부에 추진제가 충전되어 있으므로 추진제의 기계적 특성이 습도에 민감함을 생각할 때 강도뿐만 아니라 습기의 투과도 또한 매우 중요한 고려 요소가 된다. 그러나 온/습도 변화에 따른 복합재 자체의 재료 특성 변화에 대한 연구는 많이 보고되었으나 습기의 투과 정도에 관한 연구는 자료가 미흡한 실정이다. 한편, 포화 함수율은 복합재에 따라서 차이가 있으나 T300/5208의 경우 문헌을 참조하면 20-$50^{\circ}C$에서 복합재 무게의 약 1.5% 정도이며 포화에 걸리는 시간은 약 100일 정도로 나타나 있다.본 연구에서는 수분이 복합재를 통하여 투과되는 정도를 고찰하기 위하여 $20^{\circ}C$,95%RH의 온/습도를 유지하는 수조를 제작하였고, 이 수조내에 보관한 복합재 연소관의 실린더 벽면으로 투과되는 습기를 측정하기 위하여 연소관 내에 습도 센서를 투입하여 상대습도를 직접 측정하였다. 복합재 연소관이 로켓에 사용될 때는 연소관 외부에 페인트로 피막 처리하고 연소관 내부에도 추진제와의 사이에 라이너가 접착되어 있어서 수분 침투 및 온도 등의 외부 환경조건에 견디기에 더 양호한 조건이나 본 연구에서는 복합재 자체의 특성을 고찰하기 위하여 섬유를 에폭시에 함침시켜 winding한 상태 그대로의 복합재 연소관 시료를 사용하였다. 습기의 투과는 내부에 라이너/인슐레이션이 피복되거나 또는 추진제가 충전된 경우 많은 감소효과를 보였다. 순수 복합재 연소관의 경우 수조에 넣고 평형에 도달한 후로부터 약 8개월의 습기 투과 상태를 볼대 벽면을 통하여 들어가는 water vapor flux는 $20^{\circ}C$,95%RH 에서 평균적으로 9.3163$\times$$10^{-8}$g/$m^2$sec로 나타났다. 이때 습기가 투과되는 연소관이 국지점을 평판으로 가정하고 Fick's law를 이용하여 구한 습기에 대한 복합재의 확산계수는 D=2.5$\times$$10^{-6}$$mm^2$sec였으며, 이는 다른 graphite/epixy 복합재의 확산계수와 유사한 값을 나타내고 있다. 또한 추진제가 충전된 연소관을 절단하여 밀폐한 후 95%RH 습도 조건에 보관함으로써 연소관 내부의 추진제 기계적 특성에 미치는 침투된 습기의 영향도 함께 고찰하였다. 추진제에 따라 차이는 있겠으나 추진제가 충전된 연소관은 순수 복합재 연소관에 비해 습기의 투과 정도가 작으며, 본 연소관에 충전된 RDX/AP계 추진제의 경우 추진제의 습기투과에 의한 추진제 물성 변화는 미미한 것으로 나타났다.

Effect of h-BN Content on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of AIN Ceramics (AIN 세라믹스의 미세조직과 기계적 성질에 미치는 h-BN 첨가의 영향)

  • The effect of h-BN content on microstructure, mechanical properties, and machinability of AlN-BN based machinable ceramics were investigated. The relative density of sintered compact decreased with increasing h-BN content. The four-point flexural strength also decreased from 238 MPa of monolith up to 182 MPa by the addition of 30 vol% h-BN. Both low Young's modulus and residual tensile stress, formed by the thermal expansion coefficient difference between AIN and h-BN, might cause the strength drop in AlN-BN composite. The crack deflection, and pull-out phenomena increased by the plate-like h-BN. However, the fracture toughness decreased with h-BN content. The second phases, consisted of YAG and ${\gamma}$-Al$_2$O$_3$, were formed by the reaction between Al$_2$O$_3$ and Y$_2$O$_3$. During end-milling process, feed and thrust forces measured for AlN-(10~30) vol% BN composites decreased with increasing h-BN particles, showing excellent machinability. Also, irrespective of h-BN content, relatively good surfaces with roughness less than 0.5 m (Ra) could be achieved within short lapping time.

Freshness Prolongation of Crisphead Lettuce by Vacuum Cooling (진공예냉처리에 의한 양상치의 선도 연장)

  • The improvement of distribution system and freshness prolongation of crisphead lettuce were carried out through vacuum cooling and distribution under the low temperature. Lettuce that vacuum-cooled and transported by cold storage car was shown better freshness than that distributed by conventional method when they arrived at cunsuming area. And it took $10{\sim}17$ hours until their temperatures arrived at same temperatures when they were stored at $0{\sim}15^{\circ}C$ cold storage room. It was cooled to $1^{\circ}C$ after 27 minutes with vacuum cooling apparatus. The weight loss of lettuce that vacuum cooled and transported by cold storage car was below 5% after 30 days cold storage. And ascorbic acid and chlorophyll retentions were 86% and 52%, respectively. The shelf-life of crisphead lettuce, distributed by vacuum cooling and cold storage car transportation, was 5 days at $15^{\circ}C$ and over 40 days at $0^{\circ}C$, respectively. However, when it was distributed by conventional method, it was only 3 days at $15^{\circ}C$ and 20 days at $0^{\circ}C$, respectively.

Tides and Currents of Kamag Bay in July-August 1994 (1994년 7-8월 가막만의 조석 및 해류)

  • Tides at both of northern and southern entrances of Kamag Bay were compared by deploying tide gauges for 18 days during July-August 1994. To examine the response of the inner bay to the tidal waves through both entrances, a current meter was moored at the eastern pan of the inner bay. Current meter mooring failed at the northern entrance (Yosu) while the current data was collected for only 5 days at the southern site (Songdo). Maximum range was 357 and 352 cm at Yosu and Songdo, respectively. Respective amplitudes for M2, S2 Kl O1 tides of 95.5, 48.8, 20.5, 14.0cm at Yosu and 93.6, 47.2, 21.3, 13.1cm at Songdo yielded the form numbers of 0.23 and 0.24, respectively, both of which belong to the predominantly semidiurnal tide, Contributions from the overtides and compound tides were less than $4\%^ at both sites. Differences in Greenwich phase of major partial tides between two sites were negligible. Maximum speed of tidal current was about 100cm/sec at the southern entrance and about 40cm/sec at the inner bay. Residual current speed was 17cm/sec southwestward at the southern entrance and 0.9cm/sec southeastward at the inner bay. Temporal change in current at the inner bay showed that the wind had a significant influence upon the circulation in Kamag Bay.

Characterization of Kimchi Fermentation Prepared with Various Salts (국내산 천일염, 수입염, 세척탈수염, 기계염 및 가공염으로 제조한 김치의 발효특성)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the changes in the fermentation characteristics of Kimchi prepared with various salts (Korean solar salt, Chinese solar salt, washed and dehydrated salt, purified salt and a processed salt). Acidity appeared to increase most rapidly in Kimchi prepared with Korean solar salt and reached higher level. Total microbial count slowly increased at the beginning of fermentation and reached maximum on 6 days, then decreased slowly. The number of lactic acid bacteria was rapidly increased up to $4{\sim}6$ days, and thereafter decreased slowly. In conclusion, any significant differences in fermentation characteristics analyzed was not observed in Kimchi prepared with various salts except acidity.

  • Personal mobility (PM) is a new concept of transportation used by one or two people using electricity. Personal transportation aims to move quickly and conveniently over an ambiguous distance that is too close to the destination and too far to walk. In particular, as electric kickboard sharing services have become more common in recent years, they are receiving great popularity from citizens. However, it is necessary to come up with an alternative solution as it is acting as a risk not only to users but also to pedestrians and road drivers. Therefore, in order to present measures to establish and improve a safe personal mobility utilization environment, this research was conducted as follows. First, based on GPS data from shared electric kickboards, the usage status in everyday life was examined and analyzed in detail. Second, it is convenient to rent and return shared electric kickboards directly to applications regardless of time, and it is highly accessible to rent them from their location and reach their destination. Based on these findings, this study suggests that careful access to rental and return could have a more positive effect on users and pedestrians by installing a cradle in a place where there is more use than disorderly device placement and expansion.

Solvent Leaching Characteristics of Dark Brownish Pigment from Activated Charcoal used in Decolorization of Crude Polysaccharide from Auricularia auricula (흑목이 버섯 다당류의 탈색에 사용된 활성탄으로부터 흑갈색 색소의 용매 침출 특성)

  • A dark brownish pigment in the crude polysaccharide from Auricularia auricula was adsorbed by activated charcoal. The leaching of the pigment adsorbed on activated charcoal and regeneration of activated charcoal used was investigated with eight kinds of solvents. The highest leaching capacity was obtained with the alkaline solution (KOH). The optimum volume of 1 M KOH solution per activated carbon was 45 mL/g, and the treatment for 10 min during single stage leaching was sufficient to achieve the leaching equilibrium. Second-order kinetic model provided the best fitting for the pigment leaching. The pigment leaching capacity of 88.9% was obtained by seven times of treatment with 1 M KOH solution at 25$^{\circ}C$, while at 95$^{\circ}C$, leaching capacity of 82.6% was achieved with single stage alone showing the significant increase of leaching capacity with increasing temperature. The regenerated activated charcoal was nearly as effective as fresh activated charcoal in pigment adsorption of crude polysaccharide from Auricularia auricula.
