정보봉사기관에서 이용자 인터페이스가 좋은 인터넷의 WWW서비스와 데이터베이스를 연동한 웹 데이터베이스를 이용한 정보봉사가 늘고 있다. 본 고에서는 정보봉사기관에서 웹 데이터베이스의 도입, 선정, 활용에 이르는 전반적이고 실무적인 내용으로 고찰하고자 한다.

전문 데이터베이스를 구축하는 방법은 이미지, ASCII, HTML, SGML PDF 등으로 구분할 수 있다. 특히 PDF는 구축이 용이하고 제한된 기능이기는 하지만 비교적 저렴한 비용으로 전문 데이터베이스를 구축할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 우리말의 지원이 가능한 Zwon사의 PDF 포맷을 이용하여 학위논문을 대상으로 데이터베이스를 구축하였다.

관계형 데이터베이스를 사용하는 응용시스템들은 어플리케이션 소스 코드에 내재된 SQL을 통하여 데이터를 액세스하게 되며, SQL을 통한 데이터베이스 액세스 성능은 응용시스템의 성능에 결정적인 영향을 미치기 때문에, 관계형 데이터베이스시스템의 튜닝에 대해서는 많은 연구가 이루어져 왔다. 그러나 데이터베이스시스템 튜닝을 통해 얻은 성능 수준은 응용시스템의 변경이나 데이터 저장량 증가 등 여러 요인에 의해 다시 저하될 수 있으며, 이와 같은 성능 수준의 변화를 정량적으로 관리하면서 최소 비용으로 성능 수준을 유지할 수 있도록 튜닝 시점을 결정하는 방법에 대한 연구는 현재까지 연구된 바가 없다. 이 논문에서 제시하는 DB 성능지수와 이를 이용한 데이터베이스시스템의 성능관리 모델은 특정 벤더에 종속되지 않고 성능수준을 정량화함으로써 이해관계자들에게 성능 수준의 변화를 가시적으로 보이고 데이터베이스 관리자의 성능관리 및 튜닝 시점 판단을 지원하여 일정 수준의 성능을 유지할 수 있는 방법으로 활용될 수 있다.

최근 데이텍은 오브젝트스토어 PSE Pro 3.0을 발표했다. 이것은 모빌컴퓨팅 영업을 강화하는 조치로 시장점유율 증대가 예상된다. 오브젝트스토어 PSE Pro 3.0은 자바나 C++소프트웨어 안에 포함시킬 수 있을 정도로 용량이 작아 설치가 용이하고 관리가 필요없는 데이터베이스 관리 시스템이다.

This study suggests that the management of bridge was developed data which supports to execute analysis a-bout bridge. Basically, it makes standardization that the item of management of bridge keeps the effective data management which demonstrates the designed database by graphic processing technic and development of pro-gram in database manipulation. As a result of this study, through the analysis of the management of bridge, we tried to make the acceptable management item standard and to design database. For the purpose of it, computer program and database design with analyzing current works, stable inspection processing demanding the management of bridge and taking adventage of them. In this study, we can get the minimuim cost of the management of bridge and keep maximum common usage. also we contribute to perform effective data management and management system of bridge.

본 연구는 국내에서 제작한 데이터베이스의 품질을 평가하고자 4개의 문헌 데이터베이스를 선정하여 각 데이터베이스를 정확성, 일관성, 완전성, 현행성 등 네가지 기준에 따라 분석하였다. 실험결과는 각 평가기준별로 정리되었으며 그에 대한 최우선 대책을 제안했다. 데이터베이스의 품질은 정보 검색과 서비스에서 매우 중요한 것이므로 시스템 설계자나 이용자 모두 데이터베이스의 품질에 대해 넓은 안목을 갖추고 체계적인 분석을 수행하여야 하며 이와 함께 제도적인 뒷받침도 이루어져야 할 것이다.

The legal protection issues of databases are rising to the surface. This study presents the adequacy of copyright protection for databases and gives the overview of the present international legal framework for additional database protection. 데이터베이스 응용 시스템간에 공유되는 자료가 많아지고 웹 응용 시스템이 일반화됨에 따라서, 웹 상에서도 이기종 데이터베이스 시스템들에 접근하여 질의를 처리하는 방법이 요구되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이기종 데이터베이스의 자료를 쉽게 처리하는 다중 이기종 데이터베이스 미들웨어 시스템을 웹 환경에서 사용하게 하기 위한 웹 클라이언트를 제안하고, 이 웹 클라이언트가 다수의 전역 데이터베이스에 접근할수 있도록 여러사용자에 대한 세션을 관리하는 방법을 제안한다.

Mapping of EXPRESS, which is object-favored language to represent IFC model, to Relational Database is not straightforward. Model size can be much bigger and data can be missed through process. However mapping to the object concept added database, such as Object Oriented Database or Object Relational Database, may be simpler and have lots of advantages. This study investigates previous IFC mapping studies, concept of Relational Database and Object Oriented Database, and mapping methodology to Object Relational Database using object.

The main contribution of this paper is to propose the integrated database schema from several research projects included in "The Next Generation New Technology for Rock-falling and Landsliding Project". Furthermore this paper describes the development of integrated standard database system for the slopes databases. We also develop and implement the global real time web service system in order to provide one-stop data service for the slopes. In this paper, the new integrated database paradigm for rock-fall and landsliding data is designed and proposed and also data management system is developed based on the global web service system.
