Various problems arise as applications using locations increase. In order to solve this problem, related works are being conducted to protect the location of users. A fundamental reason for this problem is that users must provide their location information to the service provider (server) to receive the service. To improve these problems, there are works such as generating cloaking regions or generating dummies around them. However, if a user periodically asks the server for queries, the user's trajectory may be exposed by time zone. To improve this problem, in this paper, we propose a k-Anonymity Trajectory (k-ATY) technique that can improve the exposure probability of the trajectory even if the user requests continuous queries. Experimental results demonstrated the superiority of the proposed technique.

In this paper, we propose a person tracking based multi-channel audio panning system for multi-view broadcasting services. Multi-view broadcasting is to render the video sequences that are captured from a set of cameras based on different viewpoints, and multi-channel audio panning techniques are necessary for audio rendering in these services. In order to apply such a realistic audio technique to this multi-view broadcasting service, person tracking techniques which are to estimate the position of users are also necessary. For these reasons, proposed methods are composed of two parts. The first part is a person tracking method by using ultrasonic satellites and receiver. We could obtain user's coordinates of high resolution and short duration about 10 mm and 150 ms. The second part is MPEG Surround parameter-based multi-channel audio panning method. It is a method to obtain panned multi-channel audio by controlling the MPEG Surround spatial parameters. A MUSHRA test is conducted to objectively evaluate the perceptual quality and measure localization performance using a dummy head. From the experiments, it is shown that the proposed method provides better perceptual quality and localization performance than the conventional parameter-based audio panning method. In addition, we implement the prototype of person tracking based multi-view broadcasting system by integrating proposed methods with multi-view display system.

We estimate how much KEPCO can save their loss and how much social welfare can be increased by applying the real-time pricing instead of current regulated retail price in the electricity market in order to analyze the problem of the regulated retail price which is fixed below the marginal cost. We estimate the demand functions of peak time and off-peak time in summer (June to August) and winter (December to February). We construct the supply function based on hourly step-wise linear marginal cost functions, too. We find that the increase of social welfare will be 67 billion won in summer if the fixed retail price is changed into the real-time pricing scheme. The total 705 billion won will be transferred from consumer surplus to producer surplus and the rest (67 billion won) will be saved from the reduction of deadweight loss among KEPCO's loss. In winter, the increase of social surplus will be 225 billion won and 1,174 billion won of KEPCO's loss will be transferred from consumer surplus. As a result, we conclude that the regulation of the retail price in the electricity market induces the social welfare loss and KEPCO suffers a huge loss.
