Estimation of Slosh Model Parameters Using Experimental Test-bed (시험 장치를 이용한 슬로시 모델 파라미터 추정)

  • The slosh natural frequencies, damping ratio, slosh mass and slosh force applying point of the liquid in cylindrical tank are estimated using the nonlinear least squares method in time domain. The estimated slosh model parameters are in good agreement with the results of the theoretical calculations for various liquid depths. Furthermore, this methodology will be applied to predict the sloshing parameters for a liquid propellant tank using ground experimental test-bed.

  • 리니어 모터는 일반적으로 회전하는 모터와 같이 여러 형상의 극간에서 발생되는 힘의 균형에 의해서 구동되는 것이 일반적이다. 특히 하나의 극간에서 미소 구동하는 리니어 모터는 구동력과 실제 이동하는 위치 사이에서 댐핑이나 무게와 함 사이에서 발생하는 가속력의 차이에 의해서 주어진 힘의 파형과 움직이는 위치의 괴적이 만들어가는 이동자의 위치 사이에는 다소 시간 처짐이 발생하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 구동력과 실제 이동하는 위치 사이의 시간 처짐의 원인으로 알려져 있는 딤핑의 조건을 변화시키고 이에 다른 구동력의 변화를 알아보았다. 댐핑이 전형 없는 조건과 댐핑이 조금씩 증가함으로 인해서 주어진 시스템의 기계적 공진 영역에서 발생하는 여러 가지 구동특성을 정량적으로 평가해 보았다. 60[Hz]가 공진인 이동자와 탄성체로 이루어진 시스템에서 58-62[Hz]에서 구동될 경우 힘의 주파수와 가해진 힘에 다라 이동자의 초기 거동을 알아보았으며 초기 0.3초 구간에서 구동되는 특성을 알아보았다. 전체적으로 이동자의 구동 괴적과 주어진 힘의 파형 사이에서 발생하는 시간 처짐은 댐핑계수에 가장 지배적인 영향을 받았으며 구동 힘의 주파수가 공진주파수보다 작으면 점점 증가하고 크면 점점 감소하는 경향을 가지며 공진주파수의 구동력이 가해진다면 시간 처짐은 거의 변화가 없음을 알 수 있었다.

  • Power system stabilizer act efficiently to damp the electromechanical oscillations in interconnected power systems. This paper presents an algorithm for the optimal parameter selection of a power system stabilizer in two-area power systems with a series HVDC link. This method is one of the classical techniques by allocating properly pole-zero positions to fit as closely as desired the ideal phase lead between the voltage reference and the generator electrical power and by changing the gain to produce a necessary damping torque over the matched frequency range. The small signal stability and transient stability studies using the PSS parameters obtained from this method show that a natural oscillation frequency of the study case system is adequately damped. The simulation used in the paper was performed by the Power System Toolbox software program based on MATLAB.

외부댐핑이 구름베어링-회전축계의 진동특성에 미치는 영향

  • 회전축계가 위험한 공진 또는 불안한 상태를 나타내지 않고 조용하고 안정된 운전상태를 유지하려는 목적은 축의 휨강성, 몸체형상, 베어링의 크기 및 형상과 같은 설계변수를 최적화하는 것으로 이루어질 수 없는 경우가 빈번하다. 이런 경우에는 베어링 외부에 작용하는 "외부댐핑"을 이용하여 진동문제를 근본적으로 개선할 수 있다. 이를 위하여 베어링 외부에 별도로 설계한 스프링과 댐퍼를 설치한다. 본 연구에서는 윤활이론에 따라 명확히 계산되고 그 신빙성이 실험적으로 검증된 "동압유막 댐퍼"의 감쇄계수를 이용하여 외부댐핑을 갖는 회전축-구름베어링\ulcorner와 회전축-저어널 베어링계의 진동특성을 해석하고 회전축-구름베어링계의 실험적 모델을 제시하고자한다. 또한 해석결과와 실험을 토대로 회전축계의 진동특성에 미치는 특성수 및 설계변수를 명확히 도출하여 동특성을 고려한 회전축계의 최적 설계에 기여하고자 한다.축계의 최적 설계에 기여하고자 한다.

A study on the Dynamic Behavior Enhancement of the Korean High-speed Train (고속열차의 주행동특성 개선에 관한 연구)

  • This paper describes the dynamic behavior and enhancement of Korean high-speed trains. The tail vibration reduction method of the yaw damper installation method change, which was derived from previous research, was applied to the running test of high-speed train. In addition, the vibration reduction method for the entire vehicle was derived by a numerical method and its effect was confirmed by a running test. The improved design was applied to the double-deck high-speed train coaches and the commissioning proceeded without problems in dynamic behavior. Sensitivity analysis of the suspension parameters affecting the critical speed of Korean next-generation high-speed trains was performed and four design variables that greatly affected the critical speed were derived. These were in the order of the primary elastic joint x-directional stiffness, the secondary yaw damper series stiffness, the secondary lateral damper damping coefficient, and the carbody damper damping coefficient. By optimizing the design variables, the suspension parameter that improves the critical speed by 23.3% can be used in the commercial designs of Korean next-generation high-speed trains.

  • The design and construction are carried out to improve the structural stability of caisson breakwaters by installing new caissons on the front or rear of old caissons. The wave forces acting on caisson are excessively calculated by the resonance of fluid existing between the old caisson and the new caisson in the numerical analysis using potential flow. In this study, we used the damping zone option in ANSYS AQWA program to analyze the wave forces acting on individual caissons according to the interaction effects between the incident wave and the caisson. By applying the damping zone option to the fluid in which resonance occurs, the wave forces acting on individual caissons were calculated by the change of damping factor. In addition, the wave force characteristics acting on individual caissons were analyzed for the different distances between caissons in the frequency domain analysis.

  • For FH/SS communication, We discussed the method of indirect frequency synthesizer in several methods. The problem of sing1e frequency synthesizer using with PLL is a varied coefficient value of damping factor in frequency hopping time, which is caused unstable frequency. So. for stable frequency synthesizer, a coefficient of damping factor must be optimized and synthesized to be removed excessive response time. In this paper, we studied FH using with double loop frequency synthesizer which takes stable frequency. We made up a simulator and had a good performance(real time speed).

  • A computer program that can estimate static, dynamic stability and control derivatives using a subsonic-supersonic panel method is developed. The panel method uses subsonic-supersonic source and elementary horse shoe vortex distributions, and their strengths are determined by solving the boundary condition approximated with a thin body assumption. In addition, quasi-steady analysis on the body fixed coordinate system allows the estimation of damping coefficients of aircraft 3 axes. The code is validated by comparing the neutral point, roll and pitch damping of delta wings with published analysis results. Finally, the static, dynamic stability and control derivatives of F-18 are compared with experimental data as well as other numerical results to show the accuracy and the usefulness of the code.

  • In this paper a sharp-edged type damping orifice for an aircraft door damper were designed, where the dynamic viscosity of working fluid were assumed to change up to 400cSt. The discharge coefficient of the damping orifice were investigated by CFD analyses and experiments. In particular, the influences of orifice diameter, edge angle, flow direction and the Reynolds number were taken into consideration. Based on this, it has been deduced how high Coulomb friction forces of damper seals is to be allowed to meet the performance criterion with respect to the orifice size.

  • Cheju-Haenam HVDC link transmits electrical power up to 300[MW] Because of its size, HVDC system has a great potential for damping power system oscillations. This paper with the frequency control of the KEPCO HVDC system linking Haenam to Cheju island. Frequency control at Cheju island ensures that the island AC system frequency is maintained Performance are evaluated using a reduced Cheju network and a detailed model of the fm system modelled in the PST software. Transient oscillations for the 3 phase fault carried out with HVDC frequency control are well damped as the control parameters have been adjusted.
