Influential Factors for Career Identity of Adolescents in Community Child Center: An Application of Latent Mean Analysis and Focusing on Gender Differences (지역아동센터 이용 청소년의 진로정체감에 영향을 미치는 변인 분석: 성별에 따른 잠재평균 및 경로계수 크기 차이 검증)

  • The current study examined the latent mean analysis and path analysis comparison between male and female groups in the structural relationships among parent-child conversation, peer attachment, satisfaction in teacher at a community child care center, ego-resiliency, self-esteem, and career identity in adolescents who attend a community child care center. For this purpose, 438 adolescents who participated in the 4th(2017) questionnaire in the 2nd child panel of the community child care center were used. From the analysis results, first, peer attachment and satisfaction in teacher at a community child care center increased ego-resiliency and career identity, but parent-child conversation did not predict ego-resiliency and career identity. Peer attachment and satisfaction in teacher at a community child care center was fully mediated by ego-resiliency and self-esteem to career identity. Second, in the latent mean analysis, male students showed significantly higher latent mean values in ego-resiliency and self-esteem than female students, while female students showed significantly higher latent mean values in parent-child conversation than male students. Third, multi-group analysis revealed different paths to career identity between the genders. Peer attachment can buffer the effect of ego-resiliency and self-esteem on career identity of male students, but satisfaction in teacher at a community child care center buffers more on the ego-resiliency of female students. The results of this study suggest that social support for enhancing ego-resiliency and self-esteem is needed to encourage career identity, and that gender needs to be considered.

A Study on the Pattern of Growth Process of the Parents of Children with Developmental Disabilities based on Online Parental Community (발달장애아동 부모의 온라인 공동체 상호작용과 성장과정 유형에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the process of growth of parental empowerment of the family of the children with development disabilities in an online parental community. For this purpose, 250 posts were selected from a web-forum of an online-community(internet CAFE) for patients with developmental disabilities in a Korean portal site. In addition, the selected posts were analyzed based on the grounded theory method. The results showed that the parents with high risk children for developmental disabilities interacted with each other in short answers, self-addressing, and discussion type interactions under the causal condition in which the subject parents were in need of help and sympathy. The factors that significantly affected the focus event, which is the interactive communication between the posters of the original threads and replies, included the moderating conditions based on whether the conversation was respectful, friendly, or for general evaluation, as well as the contextual condition of exclusive attitudes. The strategies of the interactions were composed of two categories of self-reflections and sharing through a human relationship. The results of these interactions were either further interactions (sharing) or shying away. With regard to the process of reinforcing the collective empowerment of the family, the 'determination,' 'tips,' and 'empathy' models were used for the explanation of the process. Lastly, we discovered that trust, support, continuous interactions, specific and practical information, as well as provision of diversified perspectives through collective experiences are necessary to achieve such improvement of collective family empowerment.

The linguistic and cultural phenomena derived from the interpretative ambiguity in the traditional Catalan time telling expressions (카탈루냐어의 전통적 시각표현의 해석적 모호성과 관련된 언어-문화적 현상)

  • In this study, according to the Institut d'Estudis Catalan, it is noted that the traditional Catalan time telling system is essentially based on delineating time by the use of the 'quarts (=quarters)' of an hour. In this fasion, to tell the time 8:15, 8:30 and 8:45 they use '${\acute{E}}s$ un quart de nou.,' '$S{\acute{o}}n$ dos quarts de nou.,' and '$S{\acute{o}}n$ tres quarts de nou.,' but do not use constructions such as '$S{\acute{o}}n$ les vuit i quinze.,' '$S{\acute{o}}n$ les vuit i trenta/mitja.,' '$S{\acute{o}}n$ les vuit i quaranta-cinc.,' because these expressions are considered to be as dialectal variants or international notation-based variants. Moreover, the traditional Catalan time telling system does not use cardinal numbers, except in the case of 'cinc (five)' and 'deu (ten).' These linguistic phenomenon cause the invention of a unique Catalan digital watch, and has noted special designs for the creation of a Catalan analogue watch. For this reason, the quarter system in colloquial Catalan provokes an enormous interpretative ambiguity in daily routine expressions with 'quarts' like '$S{\acute{o}}n$ quarts of nou.' or 'entre dos i tres quarts' whose meaning is not delineated between sixteen and forty-four minutes. We will argue that the traditional Catalan time telling expressions do not have the use of the subtractive system, and the fraction word 'quart' lacks a specific meaning of fifteen minutes because the Catalan word 'quart' is etymologically related to the classical public bell system, not definitively to the traditional clock system.

Comparative Analysis on Pronunciation Contents in Korean Integrated Textbooks (한국어 통합 교재에 나타난 발음 내용의 비교 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze phonetic items such as the phonemic system, phonological rules, and pronunciation descriptions and notations incorporated in the textbooks. Based on our analysis results, we point out the problems related to pronunciation education, and suggest directions for improvement. First, the presentation order of consonants and vowels in the phonological systems sections of each textbook was different. We recommend that a standard for consonant and vowel presentation order should be prepared, but that this standard should take into consideration the specific purpose of the textbook; the learning strategies and goals, as well as the possibility of teaching and learning. Second, similar to phonemic systems, the presentation order of phonological rules was different for each textbook. To create a standard order for phonological rules, we have to standardize the order of presentation of rules and determine which rules should be presented. Furthermore, when describing phonological rules, the content should be described in common and essential terms as much as possible without the use of jargon. Third, in other matters of pronunciation, there were problems such as examples for pronunciation and lack of exercises. Regarding this, we propose to provide sentences or dialogues as examples for pronunciation, and to link these to various activities and other language functions for pronunciation practice.

Exploring Limitations in Applying Blosser's Question Category System for Science (Blosser의 과학 발문 분류 체계 적용의 제한점 탐색)

  • To examine the limitations of the the Blosser's (1973) 'Question Category System for Science', which is mainly applied to research in science education in Korea, we analyzed 30 hours of class conversation in a small group program (for first-year middle school students) with a researcher participating as a teacher. When classified according to Blosser's (1973) classification system, distinguishing between 'open and closed questions' was difficult. Questions with the same content were classified into different types depending on their context, whereas some questions could not be classified appropriately. Additionally, higher-level questions (open questions) were not more effective than lower-level questions (closed questions) in improving students' thinking ability or participation in class. The questionnaire's effect differed depending on the information provided by the teacher before questioning, and in many cases, previous question influenced the next questions. However, in the science education questionnaire research based on Blosser's (1973) classification, which is mainly conducted in Korea, each individual question is classified according to the cognitive level, disregarding the influence of context and prior and subsequent questions and the quality of instructions is evaluated by the frequency of higher level questioning. The results of this study indicate that the method of evaluating instruction quality based on the frequency of high-level questioning, which is currently conducted in domestic science education inquiry research, should be avoided.

  • 2002년 현재 서울시는 99.99%에 이르는 높은 상수도 보급율에 비하여 유수율은 선진국의 수준에 이르지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이는 정수장에서 배수지까지 연결되는 송수관과 배수지에서 각 가정으로 보낼 때 사용되는 배급수관에서의 누수 발생이 주 원인이며, 이는 곧 체계적인 관망 설계 및 운영이 미흡하기 때문인 것으로 지적되고 있다. 상수관로의 누수현상을 해결하고 효과적인 관리를 위한 근본적인 대책으로 노후관로의 교체가 필요하게 된다. 또한 노후관망 교체 등 유사시에 안정적인 상수의 공급을 위해 배수지간을 연결하는 대안 관로를 둘 필요가 있으며, 이러한 관망의 경로를 적절하게 설계해야 하는 것도 주요한 상수 공급 문제 중의 하나이다. 2000년 서울시 수도 정비 기본 계획의 관망 정비계획에 따르면 배수관리를 원활하게 하고 누수를 효율적으로 탐지·방지하기 위한 가장 이상적인 관망구성은 배수지 중심의 블록 시스템으로 보고 있다. 이와 같은 문제점들을 기반으로 하여, 본 연구는 GIS를 이용하여 효과적으로 노후관망을 관리하고, 대안 관망경로를 구축하는 시스템을 제안하였다. 본 연구에서는 배수지를 중심으로 한 블록 단위기반의 관망 노후도를 체계적으로 분석하는 시스템과 함께, 유사시를 대비한 최단/최적의 대안 경로를 산출하는 시스템을 구현하여 이를 서울 일부지역에 적용하여 그 유용성을 점검하였다. 상수도 관망의 설치 계획은 상수도 시설의 규모의 확장과 시설계량에 있어 대규모의 비용과 시간이 요구되는 특성을 가지고 있기 때문에 시설투자에 있어 정확한 예측과 분석을 통해 이루어져야 한다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 예측과 분석의 의사결정을 지원할 수 있는 상수도 배수 블록 노후도 관리 시스템과 최단/최적 연결 경로 산출 시스템을 구현해 봄으로써 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 상수도의 관망 노후도의 분석을 화면상에서 다양한 요소별로 하게 함으로써 넓은 공간에서의 관망의 관리를 효과적으로 할 수 있게 해준다. 2. 또한 이와 함께 대안 관망들을 사용자가 직접 대화식으로 빠르게 설계하고 이들의 경로와 공사비용 등을 산출해 봄으로써, 후보 최적 경로들을 공간적, 정량적으로 비교하는 것이 용이하다.

A Dynamic Inferential Framework for Learning Geometry Problem Solving (기하 문제 학습을 위한 동적 추론 체계)

  • In spite that the main contents of mathematical and scientific learning are understanding principles and their applications, most of existing educational softwares are based on rote learning, thus resulting in limited educational effects. In the artificial intelligence research, some progress has been made in developing automatic tutors based on proving and simulation, by adapting the techniques of knowledge representation, search and inference to the design of tutors. However, these tutors still fall short of being practical and the turor, even a prototype model, for learning problem solving is yet to come out. The geometry problem-solving tutor proposed by this research involves dynamic inference performed in parallel with learning. As an ontology for composing the problem space within a real-time setting, we have employed the notions of propositions, hypotheses and operators. Then we investigated the mechanism of interactive learning of problem solving in which the main target of inference involves the generation and the test of these components. Major accomplishment from this research is a practical model of a problem tutor embedded with a series of inference techniques for algebraic manipulation, which is indispensable in geometry problem solving but overlooked by previous research. The proposed model is expected to be applicable to the design of problem tutors in other scientific areas such as physics and electric circuitry.

멀티미디어 기술 기반 방송제작 체계

  • 디지털 기술의 급속한 발전에 의한 디지털 방송의 도입은 방송환경에 커다란 변혁을 초래하고 있다. 기술의 발전은 방송, 통신, 컴퓨터를 융합시킨 새로운 미디어 서비스를 등장시키고 있으며, 이러한 미디어의 융합은 지금까지 독자적인 영역에서 발전하여 오던 각각의 미디어들이 가지고 있는 한계성 또는 단점을 상호보완적으로 개선함으로써 서비스 능력을 대폭적으로 향상시키는 방향으로 전개되고 있다. 이와같은 디지털 시대의 대변혁은 멀티미디어 서비스를 그 중심축으로 하고 있으며, 이른바 방송통신 융합시대의 경쟁력 있는 서비스를 도입하기 위한 미디어간, 국가간의 경계영역을 초월한 글로벌 경쟁체제가 급속히 진전되어 가고 있다. 이와 같은 미디어의 융합 현상에 따라 제작 환경도 새로운 디지털 방송 서비스를 효율적으로 지원하도록 전환되어야 한다. 디지털 방송의 특징인 고품질 및 다채널 시대를 맞아 방송 콘텐츠의 재활용도를 높이는 것은 매우 중요하며, 데이터 방송, 인터넷 방송 등 다양한 기능의 서비스를 도입하기 위해선 제작 체계의 개선이 뒷받침되어야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 새로운 제작 환경에 대해서 살펴보고자 한다. 특히, 컴퓨터 기반의 제작 환경 구축에 핵심 요소인 넌리니어 편집시스템과 방송 콘텐츠를 효율적으로 관리하고 재활용할 수 있는 디지털 아카이브에 대해 소개하고자 한다. 테이프 대신 하드디스크를 기록 매체로 하는 넌리니어(non-linear) 시스템의 등장에 따라 방송 프로그램 제작에 대한 새로운 개념의 정립이 필요하게 되었으며, 이를 근간으로 하는 새로운 프로그램 제작환경, 즉 네트워크에 의해 컴퓨터와 데이터베이스를 연결하여 제작으로부터 송출가지 통합관리가 가능한 새로운 방송 프로그램 제작환경, 이른바 멀티미디어 제작환경을 구축하는 것이 디지털 방송 시대의 방송 사업자에게 가장 중요한 과제중의 하나가 되었다. 멀티미디어 제작환경을 구축함으로써 영상, 음성 및 다양한 부가 데이터를 포함하는 멀티미디어 프로그램을 편리하게 제작할 수 있으며, 데이터베이스로부터 필요한 영상 이미지를 자유롭게 합성, 조작하는 등, 매우 다양하고 편리한 제작기법을 활용할 수 있다. 또한 멀티미디어를 응용한 제작 분야로서 컴퓨터 그래픽스 기술은 방송의 사전제작에 커다란 기여를 하고 있으며, 이미 선거방송을 비롯한 여러가지 프로그램은 가상스튜디오와 가상캐릭터 기술을 활용하여 제작하고 있다. 방송사업자는 이러한 멀티미디어 제작시스템을 근간으로 영상검색, 영상 합성, 스크립트 편집, 가상현실 응용 등 고도의 제작 기법을 활용함으로써 사용자 친화성, 다이나믹한 표현, 실시간, 대화성을 특징으로 하는 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스를 시청자에게 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

An Agile Method for Web Applications Development using Extended UML Model (확장된 UML 모델을 이용한 기만한 웹 애플리케이션 개발 방법론)

  • Traditional software development method is not suitable for Web application development because of characteristics of Web application such as frequent requirements change, different architectures and models and quick-to-market delivery. In this paper we propose a Web application development method adaptable to requirements change while we systematically model Web application using extended UML model. The metamodel is independent to specific languages and technologies because we define the metamodel using extended UML model. Proposed process is described by SPEM(Software Process Engineering Metamodel) profile. A process supporting tool execute and customize process. To model Web applications systematically and effectively, a navigation modeling and a component communication modeling tools are provided. In a case study, we show the usefulness of our process and model.

The Transition of Reading/Writing Culture and Emerging Digital Contents-Focusing on Bakhtin's "The prose of everyday life" (읽기/쓰기 문화의 변천에 따른 디지털 콘텐츠의 부상(浮上) : 바흐친의 '일상생활의 산문'을 중심으로)

  • Reading and writing in the past make noble significance in 'narration', in other words, in 'the creation of narration', through the process of 'recording'; but in the modern times, it engenders controversies over narration and linearity. In other words, reading/writing in digital era, is devalued as the simple arrangement of test or the connection of vast information without narration nor linearity. However, the reading/writing through text and hypertext reading is not the phenomenon which should be criticized because of the lack of narration or linearity-not only the lack of narration and linearity -, a process of social and cultural transition; it should be revalued as a result. The change of reading and writing methods will inevitably accompany the layers, status, significance and value of the contents; thus it makes more sense, when the reading and writing methods in digital contents are approached as new pop culture phenomenon. This is the "The prose of everyday life", based on pop culture and "The society of Conversation", based on communication; proposed 'Digitelling' ; this is the reason why we should pay attention to the digital contents, created infinitely by the citizens of the world, as new mass-culture phenomenon.
