  • 식품관련 시장조사 기관인 Food marketing Instittue에 따르면, 미국전체의 식료품체인 가운데 25%가 최소한 온라인 쇼핑을 운영하고 있다. Safeway, Albertsons 등 대형 수퍼마켓 체인들이 연이어 온라인 시장에 참가했고, Melon Seed, FreshDirect.com 등 신규업체도 참가했다. 2002년 5월 Safeway.cm을 설립한 Safeway는 동년 7월에 8번째 점포를 시애틀에 오픈하는 등, 온라인 비즈니스를 확대했다. 최근 할인매장, 드러그 스토어 둥에 일부 시장을 잠식당하고 있는 이들 전통적인 수퍼마켓 체인들은 고객의 이탈을 막기 위해 비록 소수이기는 하지만 고객의 온라인 수요에 대응할 필요성이 있다고 생각하기 때문이다. 본고의 목적은 미국의 식료품 온라인 쇼핑에서 발생하고 있는 여러 문제점을 지적하는 것이다. Webvan이 Dot Com의 실패를 예증하는데 사용되는 주요한 전자상거래 비즈니스이다. 오늘날 온라인 쇼핑 비즈니스의 도전을 보여주고 이익을 낳기 위해 취해야 할 조치를 논의하기 위해 온라인 쇼핑 밴더가 참조되고 있다. 또한 본고는 미국의 Vons.com, Peapod.com 그리고 Safeway.com과 같은 온라인 식료품 쇼핑 비즈니스에서 나타나고 있는 추세, 신규 영업자 및 잔존 영업자들의 특성과 온라인 식료품 쇼핑업자들의 성장에 필요한 요인들에 관해서도 논하였다.

Study Analysis of Big Box Retailer Parking Lot User's Satisfaction (대형 할인매장 주차장 이용만족도의 영향요인 분석)

  • This research has analyzed factors affecting customers' satisfaction when they use parking lots of big retailers so that, in case of constructing, operating or managing such retailers, proper measures can be come up with. The analysis has been implemented on the basis of survey, and influence factors including entry/exit lamp, parking cars' traffic flow, parking type, pedestrians' movement after parking and safety. Parking lot users' satisfaction has been analyzed by using the Structural Equation Modelling and, as a result of it, in case of a detached or single building, pedestrians' movement flow after parking contributed the most to the users' satisfaction, while, in case of multipurpose complex, parking cars' traffic flow has the most influential factor. It is interpreted that users of a single building put a bigger emphasis on entry to the shop and their way back to the parked area after their shopping while customers of multipurpose complex might have various purposes of visiting the place and there are relatively more cars so that they put more emphasis on traffic counterflow, other cars and pedestrians.

  • Many large scale discount stores try to enter the market in newly developed city areas. In order to sucessfully increase the market share, it is essential for them to understand customers' needs. In doing so, various forms of survey methods are often used and survey forms can influence respondents' decision. The main objective of this paper is to check consistency of different survey methods in terms of deriving the expected market share. In this paper, we a, pp.y two survey forms for both AHP and conjoint analyses using a randomized complete block design. Using AHP, we compare Kim's club, Carf, E-mart and Macro in terms of the following four customer attributes: parking facility, size of store, business hours, and special pricing policy. In conjoint analysis, we estimate the part-worth of each level of the customer's attribute so that one can design the best store which would optimizethe customer's attribute so that one can design the best store which would optimize the customer's utility. Empirical comparison results indicate very low consistency between the two methods. It implies the importance of verification methods of survey. We also analyze the impact of special pricing policy using a meta analysis. It turns out that older customers are a, pp.rently more sensitive to pricing policy.

  • In this paper, we have proposed a privacy protection RFID system using random number based ID allocation. Currently, there are rising issues about privacy violation in RFID system. This issues caused by tracking the ID of tag which present unique identity of tag. The proposed system dynamically allocates random basis ID to tag, then the tag can not be traced. The random ID allocation procedures of this system can be operate in cryptographic mode or normal(non-cryptographic) mode. This system can be applied to privacy protected customer tracking RFID system in mesa-outlet stores which tracing customer's moving path.

  • 대도시지역은 인구와 경제활동의 밀집도가 매우 높은 지역이나 계속되는 교통혼잡의 가중에의한 신속한 물자이동의 제약과 화물작업을 위한 공간의 부족 등으로 인하여 원활한 수송활동과 물류활동을 제한하는 장애요인들이 화물의 이동에 비하여 많은 실정이다. 도시가 존속하고 생산활동, 소비활동을 하기 위해서는 원자재, 에너지, 제품 등이 도시내·외를 통해 생산부문간과 개인·집단간에 원활한 수송이 이루어져야 한다. 하지만, 서울과 같은 대도시는 우리 나라 전체 경제에 미치는 영향이 매우 큼에도 불구하고 급속하게 증가하는 승용차 위주로 교통소통, 교통체계개선(TSM), 도로망 구축 등의 정책이 시행되어 왔다. 대규모 물류이동이 필수적인 서울의 남대문시장, 동대문시장, 용산전자상가 등 오래전부터 형성되어 온 도심상가지역은 굳이 언급하지 않더라도 서울 근교 신도시에 점차 확산되고 있는 대형 할인매장 등의 유통업무지구, 대형 사무용 건물 등에 원활하고 적시의 수송지원을 위해서는 체계적이고 합리적인 물류체계와 화물시스템 못지 않게 그에 따른 도로의 기하하적 구조나 화물차량을 고려한 신호체계 등이 필요하다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 일반적인 도시 TSM기법 중에서도 화물차량 위주의 TSM기법에 중점을 두고 대도시에 적용 가능한 도로상의 화물차량 소통기법을 연구하여 그 적용성과 기대효과를 살펴보는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 크게 도시외곽을 경유하는 화물차량에 관한 도시외곽 화물 TSM 기법과 도시내 통과차량 소통기법, 주·정차 및 조업차량관리기법의도시내 화물TSM 기법으로 구성되어 있다. 도시외곽 화물 TSM 기법의 주내용은 신호체계 개선과 도로의 기하구조 개선 등이며, 도시내 화물 TSM 기법은 화물차량의 도시내 교통소통 기법과 화물차량의 주·정차 관리 및 조업차량 관리에 대한 연구를 수행한다. 대부분의 TSM 개선방안의 시행주체가 경찰청과 시이므로 본 연구의 결과는 도시의 원활한 화물교통소통을 위하여 적용가능할 것으로 예상된다.

Survey on Storage Temperature of Domestic Major Chilled Foods in Refrigerator (우리나라 주요 냉장판매식품의 보관온도 실태 조사)

  • We investigated temperature management for refrigerated foods in large discount markets, department stores, and convenience stores. Eleven stores in the Seoul area were used to examine temperature maintenance for frozen and refrigerated foods, including soybean curds (tofu), fish surimi, mook, wet noodles, kimbab, and salads. The surficial and central temperatures of foods in a refrigerator and a freezer were examined. While the difference between the highest ($7.5^{\circ}C$) and the lowest ($6.4^{\circ}C$) temperature spaces in a refrigerator was $1.1^{\circ}C$, the corresponding difference between the highest ($8.9^{\circ}C$) and lowest ($7.5^{\circ}C$) food surface temperatures was $1.4^{\circ}C$. The average temperatures of both chilled food surfaces and refrigerator spaces were $7^{\circ}C$ (max. $22.9^{\circ}C$) and 8.2 degrees C (in. $-0.4^{\circ}C$), respectively. The temperatures of chilled food surfaces were $6.1{\times}10.6^{\circ}C$ for soybean curds, $6{\sim}12.3^{\circ}C$ for fish paste, $2.3{\times}18.2^{\circ}C$ for kimbab, $4.6{\times}12.2^{\circ}C$ for salads, $3.4{\times}12.6^{\circ}C$ for wet noodles, and $7.1{\times}19^{\circ}C$ for mook. Our results indicate that chilled foods require careful management for storage at temperatures below $10^{\circ}C$ with careful recording of the warmest area of the refrigerator.

  • We, in Korea, have over two hundred hypermarkets and the number is continuously increasing. We drop into a hypermarket for merchandise, which is an integral part of our life style. So, we should consider safety for employees as well as customers because hundreds of thousands of people use the hypermarket every day. In addition to this consideration, the government should also be a political support relating to accidents that occur in the hypermarket because security and safety matters are important to all of us. But even now, Our security conditions do not match our ideal goal and we take countermeasures after accident or loss. This is a result of not having a security management expert coupled with a chief executive officer that has no idea about security awareness and loss prevention. In addition, we do not have specific laws to address these matters. We also lack reasonable ideas to prevent accident and loss. Now is the right time to revamp the laws and ordinances to improve the quality of civilian life. Prevention of accidents is a needed investment for all security personnel. The best solution for businesses is prevention of accidents. This will increase profits and cost-effectiveness as well as increase customer satisfaction. The company should form a security management department for comprehensive protection of assets. The goal of security management employees should be productive and effective security management. Every employee should have responsibility in mind to prevent accidents in his or her work. In addition, The company should have a systematic organization in place and regular training sessions. The most effective security management comes from cooperation of all members. In the 21st century, we pursue a high standard of living which is a result of our cooperation against any accident and loss. Sennewald says The value of security is better measure by what does not happen rather than what does.

The Effects of Bakery Worker's Occupational Asthma and Rhinitis on Job Performance and Turnover Intention (베이커리 종사자의 직업성 천식 및 비염이 직무 성과와 이직 의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigates the effects of occupational asthma and rhinitis on job performance in order to maintain the health of bakery workers and to increase manufacturing productivity. Hotel bakery workers, small bakery businesses, bakery franchises and bakeries in large discount stores, located in Seoul, Kyungki and Incheon were sampled for the study over the period of December 1 to 15, 2008. A total of 245 samples were used for the final analysis. To verify the hypothesis established for the study, we conducted frequency analysis, factorial analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis using SPSS 12.0, a statistical package, to derive a conclusion. As a result of this study, it turned out that occupational asthma and rhinitis in bakery workers does affect job performance as well as motivating the intention to quit job. It is recommended that in order to increase the job performance of bakery workers and reduce their desire to quit job, their work environment should be improved and that training about occupational asthma and rhinitis should be provided for the prevention and reduction of disease.

Microbiological Quality of Fresh-Cut Produce and Organic Vegetables (신선편의 샐러드와 유기농 채소류의 미생물학적 품질 및 식중독 미생물 오염도)

  • This study was performed to assess the microbiological quality and potential health risk of fresh-cut produce and organic vegetables sampled from supermarkets and department stores in Korea. A total of 96 samples comprised three types of fresh-cut produce (sprouts, mixed-vegetables, fruit) and three types of organic vegetables (lettuce, perilla leaf, green pepper). The samples were analyzed for total viable cell counts, coliforms, Enterobacteriaceae, Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Listeria monocytogenes, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Bacillus cereus, and Staphylococcus aureus. The microbiological counts of fruit were very low. Sprouts were highly contaminated by total viable cell counts ($8.3{\pm}0.57$ log CFU/g), Enterobacteriaceae ($7.1{\pm}0.76$ log CFU/g), and coliforms ($4.9{\pm}0.40$ log MPN/g), and showed a high incidence level of B. cereus ($2.9{\pm}0.48$ log CFU/g). Of the fresh-cut produce analyzed, six (13.6%) mixed-vegetable salads were E. coli positive. S. aureus was detected in only one sprout sample and one mixed-vegetable salad, and its contamination levels were under 2 log CFU/g, which is appropriate for Korean standards (<3 log CFU/g) of fresh-cut produce. Of the organic vegetables, lettuces were highly contaminated by total viable cell counts ($6.4{\pm}0.74$ log CFU/g), Enterobacteriaceae ($5.7{\pm}0.98$ log CFU/g), and coliforms ($3.7{\pm}1.72$ log MPN/g). Two (13.6%) organic lettuce and one (7.1%) perillar leaf sample were E. coli positive, and S. aureus was detected in one lettuce and two perilla leaf samples. Salmonella spp., Vibrio parahaemolyticus, and Listeria monocytogenes were not detected in any of the fresh-cut produce or organic vegetables analyzed.

Biological Hazard Analysis of Paprikas, Strawberries and Tomatoes in the Markets (유통중인 파프리카, 딸기 및 토마토의 생물학적 위해요소 분포 조사)

  • The consumption of "ready-to-eat" agricultural products is recently increasing and the safety of these agricultural products is forefront of public concerns. The 120 samples of paprikas, strawberries and tomatoes, which are the representative exported agricultural products, were purchased at the department stores and discount stores in Daejeon. And we determined the microbiological and parasitological contamination level of these agricultural products using culture media, multiplex PCR, commercial bacterial detection kit and microscopy, and also evaluated the decontamination method. Mean counts of total aerobic bacteria from these agricultural products ranged from $1.3{\times}10^4$ CFU/g to $1.8{\times}10^5$ CFU/g, and mean counts of coliforms ranged from $1.4{\times}10^3$ CFU/g to $9.6{\times}10^3$ CFU/g. There was no significant difference in the level of bacterial contamination between the agricultural products from department stores and the ones from discount stores. Strawberry showed the highest contamination level for the bacteria and we also found the unidentified parasite eggs. Enterobacter cloacae was the most frequently isolated bacteria strain, but no food poisoning pathogenic bacteria except Staphylococcus aureus was isolated from the products by multiplex PCR. Compared to unwashed products, tab water-washed ones showed 80% decrease of the counts of total aerobic bacteria on the agricultural products, and the rates decreased more by incorporating detergent or ultrasonic wave treatment. We concluded that the biological contamination levels among paprikas, strawberries and tomatoes were the highest in strawberries, but there were not significant difference according to distribution systems.
