  • There is SARLM scheme for dynamic adaptation to network congestion status which arises from multicast applications. However, in this scheme, when congestion occurs in a local, the waste of available bandwidth occurs in non-congestion local because of reducing of transmission rate in congestion local. In this paper, we propose a hierarchical multicast for dynamic adaptation to network congestion. In proposed scheme, we select a representative in each local. while congestion status. It receives packet from multicast sender and hierarchically transmits packet to the representative in congestion status by unicast for preventing decrease of transmission rate and the representative in congestion local transmits packet to the receivers in local by multicast. In experimental results, it was known that the proposed scheme could improve transmission rate of receivers in congestion status and more efficiently used available bandwidth.

I CAN stand this, but WE CAN'T: discontinuity between choices for self vs. group modulated by group competition during the ultimatum game (최후통첩 게임에서의 개인의사결정 vs. 그룹의사결정: 그룹 간 경쟁의 의한 조절효과)

  • We live under the consequences of countless decisions, among which significant number of decisions is made by representatives acting on behalf of us. However, individuals often make disparate decisions depending on which identity they are assigned as an agent or with which opponent they are interplaying. In the current research, behavioral discontinuity depending upon actor identity and social relationship was investigated using the ultimatum game. Participants behaved in a more economically rational way when they acted as a group representative compared with when they made decisions as a private individual. However, the direction of the individual-representative discontinuity was reversed when rivalry came into play. Furthermore, more fairness was requested to accept the offers in the interaction with the rival compared with the neutral countergroup. Especially when interacting with the rival group, participants showed contrasting level of decision bias - measured by rejection rate toward unfair offers - according to the degree of mind attribution to the opponent. Specifically, the greater participants attributed a mind to the rival group, the more they rejected the unfair offers from it. The present research is important in that it provides insight into individuals' decision-making in a group context, which sometimes forgoes the financial gain of the entire group and ultimately leads to the sub-optimization of social welfare.

  • In case that group communication protocols assume every process is interested in all events occurring in a large scale group, the events multicasting to a subset of a large process group, such as a sensor network, potentially varying for every event based on their interests might lead to very high communication overhead on each individual process. Moreover, despite the importance of both guaranteeing message delivery order and supporting overlapped group using gossip based group communication for multicasting in sensor or P2P networks, there exist little research works on development of gossip-based protocols to satisfy all these requirements. In this paper, we present a new gossip-based causal message order guaranteeing multicast protocol based on local views and delegates representing subgroups and fully utilizing multi-group features to improve scalability. In the proposed protocol, the message delivery order in overlapped groups has been guaranteed consistently by all corresponding members of the groups including delegates. Therefore, these features of the proposed protocol might be significantly scalable rather than those of the protocols guaranteeing atomic order dependencies between multicast messages by hierarchical membership list of dedicated groups like traditional committee protocols and much stronger rather than fully decentralized protocols guaranteeing dependencies between multicast messages based on only local views. And the proposed protocol is a hybrid approach improving the inherent scalability of multicast nature by gossip-based technique in all communications.

  • This study empirically analyzed the effect of SME representative competency on account receivable management and management performance using questionnaire data. The research model was confirmed through EFA, reliability analysis, CFA, and model fit, and the hypothesis was verified with a SEM. As a result, representative's manager competency had a positive(+) effect on account receivable management, and entrepreneurial competency had a negative(-) effect on credit control management. Account receivable management had a positive(+) effect on management performance. In the mediating test, credit sales management had a positive(+) effect but credit control management had a negative(-) effect on the effect between entrepreneurial competence and business performance. The result suggests that representative competency is an important factor and it is necessary to cultivate management competencies such as finance, utilization of management resources, and account receivables knowledge to improve management performance, and to manage account receivable based on insurance and customer credit for stable account receivable management. In the future, research on the impact of external factor such as consulting and government support and the account receivable management is required.
