This study investigates the factors affecting job seekers' utilization of social networks in Korean job markets by using the East Asia Social Survey on People's Work Life: South Korea data collected in 1996. If employees are analyzed as a whole, social networks have been used more frequently than formal means and direct application. Results of the multinomial logistic regression largely show that job seekers who occupy better positions in job markets have used social networks less frequently. This is due to the characteristics of Korean job markets: (1) Korean job markets are clearly divided by several criteria, and (2) in the sectors of job markets which provide better socioeconomic rewards, the competition through formal means is the main path of getting jobs.

Wireless Ad-hoc networks are dynamic networks that consist of mobile nodes. Nodes in Ad-hoc networks are usually laptops, PDAs or mobile phones. These devices feature Bluetooth and/or IEEE 802.11 (WiFi) network interfaces and communicate in a decentralized manner. Due to characteristics of Ad-hoc networks, Mobility is a key feature of routing protocol design. In this paper, we present an enhanced routing maintenance scheme that cope with topology changes pre-actively. The key feature of the proposed scheme is to switch next-hop node to alternative neighbor node before link breakage for preventing route failure. From extensive experiments by using NS2, the performance of the proposed scheme has been improved by comparison to AODV protocol.

Wind energy began to receive attention as a new alternative fuel since 20 years ago and is growing as a booming global business model. Global wind power generation in the world has been continuously increasing for the past 10 years, accounting for over 30% of cumulative rate compared to total power generation. Global demand for wind power generation is gradually expanding due to restriction on carbon emission and environmental problems caused by increased greenhouse effect. Accordingly in this study, current transportation routes are classified into three types including access-priority route, economics-priority route, and convenience- priority route depending on distribution characteristics of wind power equipment in order to suggest transportation methods other than ships. The three types of transportation route that this study declared can make the Wind power equipment manufacturing companies can judge not only the duration of transportation but also effectiveness and economic feasibility. It means that the manufacturers can analyze and compare the effectiveness and economic feasibility, which are proceed by the shipping company and freight forwarder until now days.

MPLS enables efficient explicit routing, and thus provides great advantages in supporting traffic engineering. Exploiting this capability, we Propose a load balancing scheme which deploys a multipath routing. It is named LBM (Load Balancing in MPLS networks), and targets at efficient network utilization as well as performance enhancement. LBM establishes multiple LSP (Label Switched Path)s between a pair of ingress-egress routers, and distributes traffic over these LSPs at the new level. Its routing decision is based on both the length and the utilization of the paths. In order to enhance the efficiency of a link usage, a link is limited to be used by shorter paths as its utilization becomes higher Longer paths are considered to be candidate alternative paths as the utilization of shorter paths becomes higher. Simulation experiments are performed in order to compare the performance of LBM to that of static shortest path only scheme as well as the other representative dynamic multipath traffic distribution approaches. The simulation results show that LBM outperforms the compared approaches, and the performance gain is more significant when the traffic distribution among the ingress-egress pairs is non-uniform.
