Method: A total of 32 nurses, working in hospitals designated as public medical institutions, were selected as subject participants in the present study. Data were collected during the period August 19 to 20, 2019, and analyzed by SPSS 23.0. Results: Results obtained from the present study reveals significant efficacy of the educational program, in respect of improved communication skill, self-efficacy, and problem-solving ability. On completion of the educational program, we observed an increase in the critical thinking disposition of nurses, although it was statistically insignificant. • Little is known about the relationships among adolescents'academic stress, self-efficacy, and internalization externalization. Much less is known about whether there is gender differences in the relationships. This study aims to examine (1) the effects of academic stress on internalization externalization, (2) whether self-efficacy mediates the relationships between academic stress and internalization externalization, and (3) whether there is gender difference in the relationships. For these purposes, we used Structural Equation Modeling and multi group analysis involving 2,844 middle school students participated in the Korean Youth Panel Survey. The results are as follows. First, adolescent's academic stress affected internalization externalization. Second, self-efficacy mediated the relationship between academic stress and internalization externalization. Finally, the multiple group analysis results indicated that the path coefficient between academic stress and internalization of girls was significantly greater than that of boys. Based on these results, we discussed theoretical and practical implications and suggested directions for future research on academic stress coping processes among adolescents.

  • Purpose: The purpose was to examine the self-efficacy, coping, and compliance in patients with kidney transplantation. Methods: Participants consisted of 300 outpatients who underwent kidney transplantation and regularly visited hospital for health check-up. A tool developed by Ahn (2000) was used for measuring self-efficacy. A modified version of the Jalowiec Coping Scale (Jalowiec, 1987) by Hwang (2004) was used for measuring coping, and a tool developed by Ryu, Kim, and Kang (2003) was used for compliance. Data were analyzed using SPSS program version 21.0 ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and Scheff$\acute{e}$'s test for post-hoc test. Results: Coping shows significant differences according to marital status and education. Coping was used more often among patients with ABO incompatible transplantation than those with ABO compatible. Differences in compliance were significant according to donor type, ABO incompatible, period after transplantation, and admission after the transplantation. The management of life style, stress, nutrition, and exercise in self-efficacy and compliance had lower scores than the others. Conclusion: There are significant correlations between self-efficacy, coping, and compliance in patients with kidney transplant which might be helpful for health care professionals in taking care of these population.

In addition, female children demonstrated more emotionality and worry about test anxiety and used emotion-focused coping for test anxiety more frequently. Second, emotionality was higher when emotion-focused coping was used. In the case where the level of problem-focused coping was high, emotionality was higher when academic self-efficacy was high. Children's worry was lower when the level of problem-focused coping was high and when the level of emotion-focused coping was low. In female children, however, worry increased when the level of problem-focused coping was low and the level of emotion-focused coping was high.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of private kindergarten teachers' teacher efficacy and communication competence on their job stress. The subjects in this study were 161 private kindergarten teachers working in kindergartens in Gyeong-gi province. For the research analysis, frequency, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ coefficient, and Pearson's correlation were calculated and regression analysis were conducted. The results are as follows. Firstly, it was revealed that personal teacher efficacy does have statistically meaningful negative influences on job stress as a whole as well as the sub-factors of job stress, but general teacher efficacy has meaningful negative influences only on the personal-related stress of the sub-factors. Secondly, communication competence has statistically meaningful negative influences on job stress as a whole as well as the sub-factors of job stress. Through this study, it is possible to provide a basic guideline to configure the subject content that enhance teacher efficacy and make them give full play to communication competence and develop a positive attitude for coping with job stress in a curriculum for private kindergarten teachers.
