A study on the Construction of a Big Data-based Urban Information and Public Transportation Accessibility Analysis Platforms- Focused on Gwangju Metropolitan City - (빅데이터 기반의 도시정보·접대중교통근성 분석 플랫폼 구축 방안에 관한 연구 -광주광역시를 중심으로-)

  • Recently, with the development of Smart City Solutions such as Big data, AI, IoT, Autonomous driving, and Digital twins around the world, the proliferation of various smart devices and social media, and the record of the deeds that people have left everywhere, the construction of Smart Cities using the "Big Data" environment in which so much information and data is produced that it is impossible to gauge the scale is actively underway. The Purpose of this study is to construct an objective and systematic analysis Model based on Big Data to improve the transportation convenience of citizens and formulate efficient policies in Urban Information and Public Transportation accessibility in sustainable Smart Cities following the 4th Industrial Revolution. It is also to derive the methodology of developing a Big Data-Based public transport accessibility and policy management Platform using a sustainable Urban Public DB and a Private DB. To this end, Detailed Living Areas made a division and the accessibility of basic living amenities of Gwangju Metropolitan City, and the Public Transportation system based on Big Data were analyzed. As a result, it was Proposed to construct a Big Data-based Urban Information and Public Transportation accessibility Platform, such as 1) Using Big Data for public transportation network evaluation, 2) Supporting Transportation means/service decision-making based on Big Data, 3) Providing urban traffic network monitoring services, and 4) Analyzing parking demand sources and providing improvement measures.

Ubiquitous Service Model for Information Convergence of Jeju Island Culture, Tourism, Sport and Traffic (제주 문화·관광·체육·교통 정보를 융합한 유비쿼터스 서비스 모델)

  • Recently the navigation service and LBS (Location based Services) using map supports much information services on mobile terminal. Also Internet Web sites support user much information. But, the user has the difficulty for acquiring the service and the various information based on map because of searching the many Internet sites. Accordingly, this paper supports a convergence information service model of various culture, education, tourism, sport and traffic for accessing synthesizing information based on map. And we design and implement this model using 공개 API. We present a convergence information service model of culture, tourism, sport and bus line information form tour destination and cultural place of Jeju province using the model. Additionally, we develop this service model using apache web server on Linux environment, PHP and JavaScript, MySQL database and Map 공개 API. As this service model supports a convenience action of culture and tourism for Jeju islanders and tourists.

Stated Preference Analysis of the Impacts of Bus Crowdedness Information on Bus Choice (선호의식 조사를 통한 버스 차내 혼잡도 정보제공이 버스선택에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • The study proposed a new type of bus information, Real-time Bus Crowdedness (RBC) information, to meet various demands of users and improve the convenience level of using public transportation, while existing bus information provided by bus information systems(BIS) were limited to bus operating information such as predicted bus arrival time. To analyze the impacts of providing the proposed RBC information, stated preference(SP) survey was performed and a methodology of disaggregate analysis (e.g., binary logit) was applied to develop passenger choice models. Additionally, passenger choice models incorporating the heterogeneity of different user groups(i.e., by age or trip purposes) were developed to evaluate the different responses on RBC information. The results showed that providing RBC information was significantly related to users' bus choices and the responses of user groups were significantly different, especially the age group of more then 60 was most affected by the RBC information on their bus choices. Also trip purposes were significantly related to users' bus choices, for instance the impacts of providing RBC information was bigger for non-business trips(leisure/meet friend/personal business, shopping, hospital) compared to business trip.

ACE-BIS: A Cost-Effective Bus Information System (ACE-BIS: 최적의 버스 노선을 선택하기 위한 비용 효율적인 알고리즘의 개발)

  • Due to the rapid development in mobile communication technologies, the usage of mobile devices such as cellular phones and PDAs becomes increasingly popular. One of the best ways to maximize the usability of mobile devices is to make them aware of their current locations and the locations of other fixed and mobile objects. In this paper, we propose a cost-effective Bus Information System, ACE-BIS, which utilizes a mobile device to retrieve the bus routes to reach a destination from the current location. To accomplish this task, ACE-BIS maintains a small amount of information on bus stops and bus routes in a mobile device and runs a heuristic routing algorithm based on such information. When a user asks more accurate route information or calls for a 'leave later query', ACE-BIS entrusts the task to a server into which real-time traffic and bus location information is being collected. By separating the roles into a mobile device and a server, ACE-BIS is able to provide bus routes at the lowest cost for wireless communications, without imposing much burden to a server. The results of extensive experiments revealed that ACE-BIS is effective and scalable in most experimental settings.

  • In recent years, the passengers are likely to decide their route on impulse due to the development of the integrated public transport system, and real-time information system. Especially, public transport fare integration in Seoul Metropolitan area, 2004 makes them not to have resistance about changing the modes or routes and their route choice is most effected by the degree of congestion. Assignment model have limitations to describe route changes by congestion. In this study, the concept of a link cost function used in road assignment and Effective frequency is introduced to describe the passengers' behavior when the capacity of public transport is over and the waiting time variation. Two situations, new transit line operation and accident, are set up to validate the model, as a result of the transit assignment by this model, the traffic on networks is not over the capacity. It is expected that this study will be of help to reflect the various behaviors in transit assignments.

  • 지능형교통시스템(ITS) 구축 사업을 통해 수집된 소통정보, 대중교통정보 등의 교통관련 정보를 제공하기 위한 방법으로 교통정보 안내전화(ARS)를 적용하여 도로 이용자에게 교통정보를 제공하고 있다. 도로 이용자에게 보다 편리한 교통정보 서비스를 제공하기 위한 일환으로 교통정보 안내전화(ARS)에 음성인식을 적용하고 있다. 그러나 초기 ARS에 음성인식을 적용한 결과 음성인식 성공률은 상당히 높은 것으로 나타났으나, 이용자가 증가하여 샘플링 수가 증가함에 따라 음성 인식 성공률은 점차 저하되고 있는 실정이다. 이를 해결하기 위한 방안으로 충분한 샘플링을 확보하여 주기적이고 지속적인 음성인식에 대한 튜닝을 실시하여 음성인식에 대한 성공률을 향상 시킬 필요가 있다.

  • Since the 1st of July, 2004, the public transport system of the Seoul metropolitan area has been rearranged. In the new system, bus lines are divided into 4 classes-wide area, arterial road, branch, and rotation lines with renewed fare system based on the total distance travelled. Since central control center known as the Bus Management System (BMS) integrates the entire system operation. it now becomes feasible to collect travel information and provide it to the users scientifically and systematically. The Purpose of this study is to forecast transit travel time using real-time traffic data coming from both buses and subway. This is significant contribution since provision of real-time transit information and easy access to it would most likely boost the use of mass transit system, alleviating roadway congestion in the metropolitan area.

  • 이 연구는 버스정보 시스템 설계에 필요한 운행시격 결정과 통행시간 예측을 위한 알고리즘 개발을 다룬다. 운행시격 결정 문제는 버스와 같은 대중교통 수단을 운영하는데 중요한 요소 중에 하나이다. 기존 연구는 버스 운행비용과 승객비용의 합을 최소로 하는 운행시 격을 찾는데 초점을 두고 이다. 이때 승객비용이란 승객 대기비용과 승객 교통비용의 합으로 이루어진다. 그런데 우리나라와 같이 버스회사 수입이 전액 운행수입에만 의존하는 경우엔 이러한 접근 방식이 타당하지 않다. 기존의 방식과 다르게 승객비용으로 승객 이탈비용을 사용하여 버스의 최적 운행시 격을 구하는 것이 이 연구의 목적이다. 먼저 정류장이 하나인 경우에 대해 해석적 방법으로 풀고, 정류장이 여러 개인 경우에 대해서는 시뮬레이션 기법을 적용한다. 또한 이 연구는 신뢰성이 높고 정확한 통행시간 예측정보를 산출하기 위해 2 단계 예측 기법과 전문가시스템을 이용하는 자료융합 알고리즘을 개발한다. 정확한 정보를 제공하려면 교통정보 수집원을 통해 얻는 자료가 정확해야 하고, 또한 교통상황 변화에 따라 실시간으로 통행시간을 예측하는 것이 필요하다. 이 연구는 AVL(Automatic Vehicle Location)시스템을 이용한 버스정보시스템에서 실시간 데이터와 과거 데이터를 융합하여 통행시간을 예측하는 알고리즘을 개발한다. AVL 데이터를 수집하는 과정에서는 경제성을 고려하여 데이터를 수집한다. 그리고, 버스의 운행관리와 정확한 도착예정시간을 예측하기 위해 AVL시스템을 통해 얻은 데이터의 패턴을 분석하고 유고상황을 감지한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 휠체어 이용자들에게 서울 여행 시 필요한 정보를 제공하는 시스템을 구현한다. 이 시스템은 휠체어 이용 시 용이한 대중교통인 지하철역의 편의시설 및 서울 여행지들에 존재하는 부가시설들의 위치에 대한 정보를 제공한다. 방대한 여행정보가 제공되는 상황에서도 상대적으로 이를 누리지 못하는 장애인들에게 본 논문은 여행 및 이동에 필요한 정보를 제공할 수 있다는 특징을 가지고 있다.

  • In this paper, we utilize a service provided by the existing bus information system. To improve the limitations of the bus information system the information provided to the passenger using the bus. By applying the IoT sensor network system. congestion information of the bus provided to customer. Provides information in addition to the existing bus congestion information to passengers wishing to use public transport from the smartphone app with an existing information system. The bus congestion information in addition to the existing information to passengers who want to use public transport provided in the existing information system and smartphone apps. Prevent accidents that might occur due to congestion in the bus, efficient and convenient way to propose an improved bus information system for public transport. Developed a prototype system using the IOT sensor network verified the proposed method.
