In this paper, I investigate how traditional confucian ethics - Oryun(五倫) - can be understood as practical and persuasive arguments in modern society especially Korea. For us, one of the most important problems is alienation. I argue that how today's high developed mobility technologies which include movement and communication accelerates alienation and blurs our relationship in the small societies. If we focused on relationships during concerning about alienation, we could find out one solution from traditional Confucian ethics particularly the five relationships(五倫). But it is resonable that there are some misunderstandings and prejudices about the five relationships in Korea. Also it has its own limitation from its origin so we can not reuse them as it was. I tried to make the five relationships convincing with suggest one way to reforming them. The Five relationships can be reinterpreted as comprehensive classification concepts. Our relation could be classified as 5 groups and 5 relationships represent it - blood tie and vertical(父子), not blood tie and vertical(君臣), blood tie and horizontal(長幼), not blood tie and horizontal(朋友) and lovers(夫婦). In each relationships, we're required own attitude and behaviors as we require to others. Also we can use high mobility technologies to recover our small societies.
The forthcoming twenty-first century is at the mercy of information and culture. A quality of humanlife is under the control of a cultural level. A nation's creative culture and a cultural level represent all things about the nation; and a national image, as a whole result of culture, is enormously influential. This new era of culturalism gives us a significant responsibility for getting ready for the late industrial society by practically harmonizing rationality of modem culture with conception of traditional culture. Industrializing culture and culturalizing industry will be the most important strategy for existence in these days of borderless international competitiveness. Cultural products which is containing a nation's own culture can not only enhance the national image, but also become high value-added industry. While general products are developed for the purpose of convenient and practical use, cultural products are created with the intention of informing international society about a nation or a region. In order to confront with a global market system and a change of cultural environment, it is necessary to create a proper design with cultural inheritance for modem likes and senses, to produce the design on a commercial scale, and to strengthen its competitiveness on international markets. In order that a commodity is born, distributed throughout markets, and delivered to a final consumer, it is essential to understand complicated process such as development, distribution and marketing of products and to systematize each part. Although we should not neglect any part, a political and systemical plan or a distributional and marketing idea will be beside the point in this article. This article presents importance of traditional patterns as a Korean cultural image, and it shows the process of designing and developing products in order for traditional patterns to be utilized for products effectively. I expect that concrete activation and systematization for those works can be carried out successively.

International marriage migrants from developing to developed countries are to seek a better economic condition. There are only a few empirical research on comparing and analyzing economic condition of marriage migrants before and after marriage. This study attempted to analyze the relationship between the cognition on the change of economic condition before and after marriage and the socio-economic characteristics of Vietnamese international marriage female migrants. About 80% of interviewees of this study were motivated to marry Korean men for economic reasons; however, their household economic level was relatively low. Reflecting the household economic level, about half the Vietnamese women considered that there was very little difference in the economic condition before and after marriage; while, the percent of women considering the current economic condition as getting better were more than 4 times of that of women considering as becoming worse. The cognition on the economic condition change before and after marriage was positively correlated with the level of education attainment of husbands and themselves, the Korean language ability, state of occupation in Korea, the level of husband's income, involvement of management of living expenses and length of residence in Korea. The occupation in Vietnam and the state of remittance were not significantly related to the cognition on the economic condition change before and after marriage. Vietnamese marriage female migrants were highly motivated to have a job out of home to improve the economic condition of their own family and natal family. Concreted alternative programs should be made to help those women to work out of home.

With this exploration, we also intent to grasp their difficulties and needs, thus look for policy tasks for them. The analysis is based on qualitative case study. The results are following. Typical working high school graduate youths choose not to go on to university under the influence of unfavorable economic situation of the original families. They enter the labor market without enough career exploration and try to continue working mainly in low-income and unskilled jobs. They usually work long hours to increase incomes, thus, do not have enough time to invest on their own human resources. They locate in a vicious circle of income poverty, time poverty, and skill poverty, but rarely protected by existing employment and income support programs. It is necessary to improve or introduces policy packages including labor market transition support for the high school graduate, education, training, and career exploration support, income support for the working poor, social network support, and support for reducing the dead zone of social insurances.

After the intervention, the subjects showed significant difference in attitudes toward death compared to that of pre-intervention. The subjects after the intervention showed no statistical differences in change of depression compared to that of pre-intervention. Also, attitudes toward death were negatively related with depression both before and after interventions, but the change of relation was not significant. The late 20th century saw the industrial period end only to transform into the digital era where people have begun to pay attention to craft because it a field that respects emotion as the essential value, an alternative to overcome the side effect that people have created. Today a new world - where the virtual and the real co-exist through artificial intelligence (AI) - has suddenly approached us and the future of craft is faced with a new situation as it needs to present a new creative solution as a tool that is necessary for human way of life - a tool that has been a necessity throughout history and the evolution of life. As a result for a continued development, craft attempts to establish a new paradigm through current trends represented by our modern society, which is the emergence of creative development through convergence. This study presents creative experiments attempted through the convergence of craft with other heterogeneous tendencies connected to the field. The objective of the study is to enable makers to acquire a more creative way of thinking at the same time as inspiring them and suggesting new creative possibilities in order to develop their work through creative convergence. In Chapter 2, the study investigates on the current status of craft in general, and compares it with what is taking place in Korea; in Chapter 3 the significance of convergence in craft and the process of creating is addressed through case studies. Lastly in Chapter 4, with the basis on analytical case studies, the attribute and the potential of convergence in the field of craft is observed. By analyzing different phenomena presented through attempts to converge in contemporary craft, it has been possible to view the future of the 21st century craft through assessments on what is active and what is as yet hidden potential.
The purpose of this article is to elucidate Plotinus' concept of freedom. Particular attention is paid to two terms, 'what is self-determined' (to autexousion) and 'what is up to us' (to $eph^{\prime}h{\hat{e}}min$), which Plotinus employs in order to articulate the meaning of freedom. It is shown that freedom in Plotinus consists in the power of doing whatever one wills while willing the good. We first situate Plotinus' concept of freedom in the Socratic tradition. Next we investigate how Plotinus and Alexander of Aphrodisias conceptualize freedom in terms of self-determination in the context of criticizing determinism. It is shown that Alexander tries to secure the psychological grounds for human moral responsibility by introducing a causally undetermined power of choice between alternatives. In contrast, Plotinus is interested in psychological conditions that allow humans to do the right thing. For this purpose, he establishes the concept of will ($boul{\hat{e}}sis$) as the power of wanting and choosing the best. We then try to clarify his claim that free will cannot choose otherwise by appealing to his concept of divine freedom, which idealizes the power of doing one's best and being oneself at one's best. Finally, we discuss Plotinus' view of the limitations and possibilities of human freedom and indicate its practical implications. In conclusion we claim that Plotinus pleads for an active way of living which spreads inner freedom out into the world, rather than living in seclusion so as to protect an inner freedom which is pure.
