Internal Defect Position Analysis of a Multi-Layer Chip Using Lock-in Infrared Microscopy (위상잠금 적외선 현미경 관찰법을 이용한 다층구조 칩의 내부결함 위치 분석)

  • An ultra-precise infrared microscope consisting of a high-resolution infrared objective lens and infrared sensors is utilized successfully to obtain location information on the plane and depth of local heat sources causing defects in a semiconductor device. In this study, multi-layer semiconductor chips are analyzed for the positional information of heat sources by using a lock-in infrared microscope. Optimal conditions such as focal position, integration time, current and lock-in frequency for measuring the accurate depth of the heat sources are studied by lock-in thermography. The location indicated by the results of the depth estimate, according to the change in distance between the infrared objective lens and the specimen is analyzed under these optimal conditions.

Designing a kmultiview 3D display system based on a spatiotemporal multiplexing (시공 분할방식을 이용한 다시점 삼차원 디스플레이 시스템의 설계)

  • A 16-views 3 dimensional imaging system is designed by spatially combinding two 8-views time multiplexed image channels. Each 8-views channel composed of 3 primary color CRTs and a dichroic beam splitter which combining the three CRTs as one channel. Each CRT displays 8-view images time sequentially. These images are projected to a holographic screen of a size 1$\times$0.8 $m^2$ through a projection optics. Characteristics of the three different configurations of projection optics are examined with the optics designing program "DEMOS" to select an optimized projection optics for the system. The configulation of the optimized projection optics is found like following; images from each channel combined by two-fold mirror are projected by a projection objective through a 16-strips LCD shutter. In this configuration, the shutter should be located at the entrance pupil of the objective, and the folded edge of the two-fold mirror should contact symmetrically to the center line of the shutter.e shutter.

A Study on the Traffic Accident Estimation Model using Empirical Bayes Method (Empirical Bayes Method를 이용한 교통사고 예측모형)

  • This study estimates the expected number of accidents in Kyungbuk Province to capitalize on experience gained from four years of accident history using the Empirical Bayes (EB) Method. The number of accidents of each site in Kyungbuk Province is recalculated using the Equivalent Property Damage Only (EPDO) method to reflect the severities of the accidents. A cluster analysis is performed to determine similar sites and a unique Safety Performance Function (SPF) is established for each site. The overdispersion parameter is built to correct the difference between the actual number of accidents and the underlying probability distribution. To adjust for varying traffic characteristics of each site, a relative weight is applied and eventually estimates the expected number of accidents. The results show that the highest accident sites are Kimcheon, Youngcheon, and Chilgok, but on the other hand the lowest is Gunwi.

Development on a Relay Lens Type Scope with 70 mm Eye Relief (70 mm Eye Relief를 갖는 릴레이 렌즈 방식 스코프 개발)

  • Purpose: To develop a relay lens type scope with 70 mm eye relief. Methods: By using Sigma 2000 design program, we designed and manufactured a relay lens type scope with 70 mm eye relief, which is integrated after designing an objective part with relay lenses and an eyepiece part, respectively. Results: The characteristics of the relay lens type scope with 70 mm eye relief whch is designed and manufactured by methods, which integrate after respectively designing an object part with relay lenses and an eyepiece part, have the magnification of $+4{\times}$,the length from 1st lens to last lens of about 105 mm, the barrel diameter of 18mm, and the effective diameter of 13 mm. Also we know that the resolution line width is 275 cycles/rad at the 30% MTF value criterion. Conclusions: We could design and manufacture the relay type scope with 70 mm eye relief, the characteristics of which have the magnification of $+4.0{\times}$the MTF above 30% at 275 cycles/rad, and the length from 1st lens to last lens of about 105 mm.

The design of microscopic system using zoom structure with a fixed magnification and the independency on the variation of object distance (줌 구조를 이용하여 물체거리가 변해도 상면과 배율이 고정되는 현미경 광학계의 설계)

  • The multi-configurative microscopic system for inspecting the wire-bonding of reed frame is designed. Rays refracted by objective lens group which is composed of common lens group of x2 and x6 are splitted by beam-splitter, and Rays through the central region and the boundary region of the object imaged at x2 and x6 through imaging lens groups, respectively. The depth of wire structure on the reed frame has about $\pm$3 mm, in order to observe by uniform magnification without the dependency on the variation of objective distance generated by the depth of wire structure on the reed frame, imaging lens groups should be moved on nonlinear locus like mechanically compensated zoom lenses. The nonlinear equations for zoom locus are derived by using the Gaussian bracket. Refraction powers and positions of each groups are numerically determined by solving the equations, and initial design data for each groups is obtained by using Seidel third order aberration theory. The optimization technique is finally utilized to obtain this microscopic system.

  • Recently, lens manufacturing and assembly technology has greatly improved. However, tight requirements of manufacturing and assembly lead to an increase in cost and manufacturing time, and in some cases the performance of an optical system may deteriorate depending on the operating environment's conditions, such as temperature or vibration. In addition, the use of a compensator is an effective method to reduce sensitivity in an ultra-precision optical system, but in the case of a small lens, such as that in an endoscope, it is difficult to use a compensator due to the size limitation of the lens barrel. Therefore, minimizing lens sensitivity is the most important technology in lens design. For this reason, there have been various attempts to reduce the lens sensitivity, and there is a trend to add functions to reduce the sensitivity in the lens design S/W. In this paper, we introduce a design technology that minimizes lens sensitivity. We first design a lens with quite good performance, then analyze the sensitivity of this lens, make a multi-configuration with high-sensitivity element error, and then reoptimize it. We prove with an example that this design technique is very effective.

  • CD(Computer Disc) 의 약 7배의 용량을 가진 디스크와 그 관련기기가 시판되기 시작했다. DVD(Digital Versatile Disc), DVD-ROM이라는 이 기기는 디스크위에 집광되는 광스포트의 크기를 작게 하여 기록밀도를 높이기 위해, 대물렌즈의 NA,를 0.6으로 크게 하였고(CD에서는 NA가 0.45)광원이 되는 레이저의 파장도 650mm대로 단파장화(CD에서는 780nm)하였다. 이의 실현을 본격화하기 위해서는 DVD에 대응할 수 있는 대용량의 기록미디어와 장치가 필요하다. 이미 CD-R을 비롯한 몇 가지의 추기형, 서환형의 DVD-RAM 등이, 재생전용 DVD가 시판되기 이전부터 제안되어 규격화되었으며 미쓰비시전기에서도 그것에 조준을 맞추어 광원이 되는 고출력 반도체레이저의 개발과 제품화를 추진하여 온 것이다. 여기서는 다음에 제시하는 DVD-RAM용 반도체레이저에 대한 요구성능과 이를 실현하기 위한 방법 및 결과에 대하여 기술한다. $\cdot$파장 650nm대에서 30~50mW의 높은 광출력을 얻을 수 있는 활성층의 재료와 구조의 개발 $\cdot$60$^{\circ}C$의 고온에서도 동작전류 증가가 적은 활성층구조의 최적화 $\cdot$고온, 고출력의 장시간 동작에서도 발광부 단면의 열화를 방지 할 수 있는 단면 강화기술의 개발 동사는 이들 기?과 과제에 대하여 검토를 거듭한 결과 DVD-RAM광원에 적합한 고출력 반도체레이저(MLIxx6시리즈)의 제품화를 실현할 수 있었다.

Processes in Peer conflicts of Two-Year-Olds: Disputes over Objects (대물 다툼 상황에서 2세아의 또래 갈등 과정 분석)

  • This study investigated interactions of two-year-old toddlers in peer conflicts caused by disputes over objects. Thirty pairs of same-gender peers were recruited from 10 child care centers. The age of these toddlers ranged from 24 to 36 months. The data were collected by experimental observation. The interaction processes between the pairs of subjects were recorded by video camera. 24 pairs displayed peer conflict over objects. The data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively employing content analysis and the SPSSW in 6.0. Major findings showed that when the toddler was in conflict with a peer for toys, (1) he or she interacted actively with the other child, employing both non-verbal and verbal strategies to resolve the conflict; (2) behaviors and statements reflected an egocentric tendency; (3) they recognized ownership of toys; and (4) he or she employed some prosocial strategies which could provide a basis for developing social skills in a conflict situations with peers.

  • In order to operate CD and DVD compatibly in a pickup system, the objective lens comprise diffractive optical element(DOE) zone and aspheric curvature on its lens surface. The DOE objective lens is effective to simplify this dual-purpose pickup system of the 655nm and 785nm wavelength by using only one lens, but requires more precision manufacturing process and system due to the complicated shape. This paper presents the overall manufacturing process of this objective lens and describes main parameters in each process, for the correction of the aspheric surface in its core, the shrinkage compensation after injection molding, and the uniformity compensation by adjusting molding conditions.

  • In designing the tracking system of an optical disc drive, it is first necessary to eliminate the undesired influence of any visible mechanical vibrations. In this paper a geometrical method to analyze the frequency response of an elastically supported planar rigid body has been presented. Using the theory of screw, a geometrical expression of a compliant transfer function which describes the effects of the locations of an applied force and observation on the response has been derived. Applying the substructure synthesis method, a technique to stabilize the tracking mechanical system has been presented with a numerical example.
