담수산 rotifer, Brachionus calyciflorus 내구란의 상품화

  • 담수산 rotifer, Brachionus calyciflorus는 담수어류의 종묘생산시 초기 자어의 먹이생물로 많이 이용되고 있다. 특히, 이 종의 암컷은 수컷에 관계없이 암컷이 난을 생산하는 처녀생식과 수컷과의 교미에 의해 암컷이 수정란(내구란)을 형성하는 유성생식으로 나뉘어진다. 한편, 유성생식에 의해 형성된 내구란은 두터운 2차 난막으로 싸여져 있어 외부환경이 부화에 적합하지 않으면 강한 내구성을 지니고 있어 휴면 상태를 계속 유지한다. 이러한 내구란은 종의 유전적 형질을 효율적으로 보관할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 대량배양하기 위한 종자 및 수산 생태 독성학의 실험재료로 이용할 수 있다. 또한 내구란은 Artemia cyst처럼 쉽게 부화시켜 자어에 직접 먹이로 공급할 수 있는 장점으로 인해 rotifer 대량배양에서 오는 유해 세균과 원생동물에 의한 자치어의 2차 감염을 방지 할 수 있다. 이처럼 rotifer, B. calyciflorus 내구란은 여러 가지 용도로 이용 가능하기 때문에 내구란을 대량생산할 수 있는 조건을 규명하는 것도 중요하다. 그리고 생산된 내구란을 사용 목적에 따라서 간편하게 이용하기 위해서는 내구란을 제품으로 만드는 것도 매우 중요하다. 따라서 본 내용은 담수산 rotifer 내구란을 상품화하기 위한 방법으로 내구란의 대량생산과 보존방법에 대해서 설명하고자 한다.

Comparison of Biochemical Characteristics of Myofibrillar Protein from Fresh Water Fish and Sea Water Fish (담수어와 해수어의 근원섬유단백질의 특성 비교)

  • Myofibril and actomyosin were prepared from red muscle and white muscle of fresh water fish and sea water fish, and their biochemical characteristics and SDS PAGE patterns of myofibril were compared. SDS PAGE analysis showed that electrophoretic patterns of myofibril were similar be tween white muscle and red muscle, while difference of 30kDa component of myofibril was detected between fresh water fish and sea water fish. When myofibril were treated with trypsin, difference in hydrolysis of heavy chain was observed between white muscle and red muscle. In activities of Ca ATPase, Mg ATPase, EDTA ATPase and ATPase activity pH curve, myofibrillar protein from fresh water fish showed higher specific activity than those from sea water fish.

  • Experimental cohorts of Mugil cephalus were divided into 5 groups : seawater~normal feed (SWN), acclimation to freshwater~normal feed (GFWN), acclimation to freshwater~salt feed (Gf\iVS), freshwater. normal feed (FWN) and freshwater-salt feed (f\iVS). Growth was faster in the SWN, Gf\iVS, and GFWN groups than in the f\iVS and FWN groups. Condition factor did not differ among the groups. Survival (92 %) of the juveniles was the highest in the Gf\iVS group; however, the others showed no significant difference. Moisture of FWN group was significantly higher than that of SWN group (P < 0.05). Potassium concentration was significantly higher in the SWN group than that of others (P < 0.05). It was highest (30 mmolfl) among the cohort of SWN.

  • 경상북도 상주시 낙동면 신오리에서 7만수 규모로 10년간 육계업을 경영하고 있는 김봉득(봉봉농장, 본회 경북지부 회원)사장이 지난해 10월 25일경부터 일주일간에 걸쳐 25,000수에 달하는 닭들이 집단폐사하고 정원 연못에서 담수어들이 떼죽음을 당하면서 상주시청을 상대로 4개월간 배상문제를 놓고 끈질긴 투쟁을 하고 있으며, 지난 1월 10일 환경 분쟁조정위원회에 조정신청을 낸 상태로 보상결과가 주목되고 있다.

  • 꺽지는(Coreoperca herzi)는 농어목(Perciformes), 꺽기과(Centropomidae), 꺽지 속에 속하는 우리나라의 특산 어종으로 전국적으로 분포하고 있는 민물고기이며(정, 1986; 최 등, 1990; 한국동물분류학회, 1997), 육질의 맛이 담백하여 예로부터 고급 첫감이나 매운탕으로 선호도가 매우 높은 어종이다. 꺽지는 담수어 중 출현빈도가 1%로 조사된 바 있으나, 최근 하천에 분포하는 꺽지의 자원이 하천의 댐공사, 생활오폐수 및 농약의 오염으로 인한 생태계 변화에 따라 멸종의 우려가 될 정도의 급속한 감소추세를 보이고 있다. Analysis of Compositions for Effective Utilization of Fish Scales (생선비늘의 유효이용을 위한 성분분석)

  • In order to effectively utilize marine processing by-product such as fish scale, chemical compositions for the scale were analyzed. The selected fishes were gray mullet, Mugil cephalus, living in the sea and carp, Cyprinus carpio in the fresh water, having a lot of scales among the fishes living in seawater and fresh water. And we also investigated the difference in the chemical compositions between gray mullet and carp, depending on both living circumstances. The major components of the scales were found to be crude ash and crude protein which were each about 49% for gray mullet and which were about 20% and 79% for carp, respectively, on the basis of dried scales. The proteins extracted from both scales proved to be collagen through amino acid compositions and SDS polyacrylamide gel electrophoretic patterm. Also this scale collagen was assumed to by Type I collagen because the migration rate of $\alpha$1 and $\alpha$2 subunit of the collagen were almost the same those as calf skin Type I collagen. Most of proteins from gray mullet was collagen, however, the collagen content in proteins from carp was estimated to be only about 53%, on the basis of the ratio of hydroxyproline to protein. The crude ashes of both scales identified to be hydroxyapatite through element compositions and X-ray diffraction analysis. In conclusion, both fishes in different living circumstances were almost similar to in the chemical compositions but chemical contents for crude ash and crude protein.

Infection status with trematode metacercariae in the fresh-water fish from Chunamchosuchi (pond), Uichang-gun, Kyongsangnam-do, Korea (경남 의창군 주남저수지산 담수어의 흡충류 피낭유충 감염상)

  • The present study was performed to analyze the infection status of trematode metacercariae in fishes caught from Chunamchosuchi (pond) located in Uichang-gun. Kyongsangnam-do. A total of 130 freshwater fish of 5 species was collected by a fish net and fish traps from November, 1995 to May, 1996. They were examined under a stereomicroscope after artificial digestion with pepsin-HCI solution. A total of 8 species or metacercaria, i. e. Clonorchis sinensis, Echinochnsnw japonicas, Cvathocotwle orientalis, Diplostomun sp.. Metorchis orientalis. Holostephcnw nipponicw, Exorchis oviformis and unidentified echinostome, was detected from them. The metacercariae of C. sinenesis were found in 8/20 (40.0%) Accnthorhodeus Qsmwsi, 20/20 (100%) Cutter breuiccudc, 31/45 (68.9) Cultriculus eigenmanni and 21/25 (84.0%) Pseunorasborc pronga, and the average number of metacercariae detected in each fish species were 1.9, 31.7. I5.3, and 73.0. From the above results, it was confirmed that fresh-water fishes from Chunamchosuchi (pond) were highly infected with metacercariae of avian trematode, i.e. C. orientolis, H. nipponicus. M. oui,entnlis, E. jcponicw and Diplostonum sp., and 4 species of fish. P. parvc, C. breuiccudn, C. eigenmnnni and A. asmussi, were infected with metacaecariae of C. sinensis.

The fish Fauna and Migration of the Fishes in the Fish Way of the Nakdong River Mouth Dam (낙동강하구의 어류상과 댐의 어도에서 어류의 이동)

  • The ichthyofauna and passing efficiency of fish ways were surveyed in the lower and upper regions of the river mouth dam in the lower reaches of the Nakdong river from June to December in 20()0. As the dam built in the river mouth, the brackish area in the estuary disappeared completely and the transitional area did not formed. The fishes collected from survey were classified into 49 species, 45 genera belonging to 29 families. Among them, the fresh water fishes composed of 10 species, peripheral freshwater fishes 11 species and sea water fishes 28 species respectively. Because of the ecological difference between the fresh and sea water, dominant species in the Myeong-ji of sea water area was Acanthogobius flavimanus (39.1%) and in the Sa-sang of fresh water area was Achanthorhodeus macropterus (44.4%). By the video camera records, fishes were identified nine species like as Coilia ectenes, Cyprinus carpio, Hemibarbus labeo, Squalidus gracilis majimae, Plecoglosus altivelis, Lateolabrax japonicus, Anguilla japonica, Mugil cephalus and Pholis nebulosa. Based on total species collected, the efficiency of the fish way for the anadromous fish was 10.1%. Therefore, efficiency evaluation of the fish way in the Nakdong River Mouth Dam was low.

  • Snakehead, Channa argus, is one of the most palatable fresh-water fishes in Korea; however, relatively little is known about the characteristics of taste. The present study was undertaken to analyze the proximate composition as well as the taste compounds of dorsal muscle of Korean snakehead. In the dorsal meat, glycine, taurine, alanine and lysine were abundant. Among these, glycine was the most dominant, occupying $63\%$ of total free amino acid. The amount of IMP was $2.78{\mu}mole/g$ and those of another nucleotides and their related compounds were not so high as compared to that of IMP. About $43\%$ of the total extractive-N was total creatinine-N. But the content of betaine-N was very low, occupying only $0.8\%$ of the total extractive-N and TMA-N and TMAO-N were trace in content. In snakehead, the sum of the nitrogen in these constituents amounted to nearly $80\%$ of total extractive nitrogen.
