Dynamic Arrangement of Control in a Personalized Learning Environment (개인화 학습 공간을 위한 동적 컨트롤 배치 기법)

  • The requirement for customized learning environments is increasing with the development of Web 2.0 technology To personalize services in E-learning, there are various functions available to the user. However, some components have fixed or inflexible functionality that limits what can be changed, and customization information has not been used for other purposes. In this paper, we propose an e-Space manager for the dynamic customization of learning environment control units. The proposed method can confirm which areas users have customized and how they have customized them. The advantage is that users can control their own learning environments, including not only the format, but also the content within the limits of the underlying system. The customization information is captured to confirm the competency model.

  • 최근 인터넷 사용자의 급속한 증가와 함께 정보 표현 방식도 실세계와 유사한 3차원 공간으로 바뀌고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존에 개발된 수화 편집기와 수화학습 시스템에서의 수화 동작의 편집 및 수화 학습의 효율을 높이기 위하여 frame 단위의 동작처리를 action 단위로 바꾸어 처리하도록 개선하였다. 개선된 수화 편집기와 수화학습 시스템은 VRML 뷰어와 애플릿간의 자료 이동이 줄어들어 처리 속도의 향상을 가져왔고 자연스러운 수화 동작 구현이 가능하게 되었다.

The Analysis of Academic Achievement based on Spatio-Temporal Data Relate to e-Learning Patterns of University e-Learning Learners (대학 이러닝 학습자들의 학습 시·공간 패턴에 따른 학업성취도 차이 분석)

  • This study was designed to analyze the difference in attendance and academic achievement based on spatio-temporal data relate to e-Learning patterns of university e-Learning learners. This study collected e-Learning data from 68 e-Learning classes, 13,611 learners during 3 years. Collected data were analyzed by t-test and two-way ANOVA. Major study findings were as follows. Firstly, e-Learning learners in school received higher than those of learners outside school both in attendance and academic achievement, while that academic achievement showed statistical significance. Secondly, the attendance and academic achievement by the day was in the order of e-Learning learners mainly in the morning, those in the afternoon and those at night, in addition there was statistical significance. Lastly e-Learning learners in the weekdays appeared higher than those of learners in the weekends both in attendance and academic achievement, also both of them showed statistical significance.

  • 도시의 인구 밀집도가 증가함에 따라 도시의 단위 면적당 건물 밀집도 역시 증가하고 있으며, 이에 도시 화재는 대규모 화재로 발전할 가능성이 높다. 도시 내 대규모 화재로 인한 인명 및 경제적인 피해를 최소화하기 위해 시뮬레이션 기반의 화재 대응 방안들이 널리 연구되고 있으며, 최근에는 시뮬레이션에서 효과적인 화재 대응 방안을 탐색하기 위해 강화학습 기술을 활용하는 연구들이 소개되고 있다. 그러나, 시뮬레이션의 규모가 커지는 경우, 상태 정보 및 화재 대응을 위한 행위 공간의 크기가 증가함으로 인해 강화학습의 복잡도가 증가하며, 이에 따라 학습 확장성이 저하되는 문제가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 시뮬레이션 규모 증가 시 강화학습의 학습 확장성을 유지하기 위해, 화재 상황 정보와 재난 대응을 위한 행위 공간을 변환하는 기법을 제안한다. 실험 결과를 통해 기존에 강화학습 모델의 학습이 어려웠던 대규모 도시 재난시뮬레이션에서 본 기법을 적용한 강화학습 모델은 학습 수행이 가능하였으며, 화재 피해가 없는 상황의 적합도를 100%로 하고, 이것 대비 99.2%의 화재 대응 적합도를 달성했다.

A Study on the Improvement of NCS for Cadastral Field (지적분야 NCS 개선에 관한 연구)

  • The Korean government strives to transform the society from one that stresses academic and qualification to one that stresses individual competencies. National Competency Standards(NCS) has been adopted to this end. However, NCS classifies cadastre into a group with survey and spatial information collection. Such classification limits cadastre to encompass cadastral administration, cadastral survey, geospatial survey, etc. This study reviews current status and implications of NCS, and proposes few solutions: improvement of classification system, introduction of cadastral industry cooperation model, curriculum development based on competency level, unification between NCS developer and learning module writing group, etc.

Analysis of School Space for Students' Customized Classes: Focused on Vittra Telefonplan School in Sweden (학생 맞춤형 수업을 위한 학교 공간 분석: 스웨덴 비트라 텔레폰플랜(Vittra Telefonplan) 학교를 중심으로)

  • This study was designed to create an innovative Korean school space plan. This was done by performing an analysis of cases of student-tailored class operations and the composition of school space in Sweden's Vittra Telefonplan School. To this end, the research team analyzed prior studies, the Vittra school space and the student-tailored classes through an analysis of the literature, documents and video images. First, the OpenSpace was operating classes tailored to each student's academic growth and needs. Second, the open-space school space played a role as the space for student life. Third, the teacher played a role as an active guide and facilitator of students. Forth, the students' individual learning management team actively conducted coding classes by utilizing IT-based learning platforms. The implications of the Vittra School are as follows. When designing a new school, it is recommended to design a small school as small as possible, organize an open space according to the grade and not by the class, and operate the curriculum around the students' grade. When reorganizing existing schools, it is proposed that standardized classrooms be modified for schools with spare classrooms to create learning spaces that can vary for large to small and to practice project-oriented classes at the grade level.

  • The expansion of open education and the 7th revision of educational curriculum have brought big changes in the school facilities. In response to the integrated curriculum for the first and second grades of elementary school, various plans, such as open classroom, expanded classroom size, and the installation of multi-purpose space, have been attempted. However, such plans have appeared in the form of an open classroom--a uniform spatial composition. As a result, a plan for unit learning space to support the educational curriculum and activities for low grade levels is still insufficient. In the case of advanced countries, a lot of studies on space are being actively conducted to develop the creativity of children and to facilitate free-style learning, and such space is actually applied to a real educational environment. Therefore, this study will analyze the spatial composition of unit learning space for low grade level elementary schools in Korea. From the cases of advanced countries, a more concrete proposal will be suggested to diversify unit learning space for low grade levels.

  • 본 논문에서는 간단한 선형 회귀를 이용하여 복잡한 불 시뮬레이션(Fire simulation)에서 표현되는 불똥 입자(Fire-flake particle)을 효율적으로 생성할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 일반적으로 불 시뮬레이션에서 불꽃은 격자기반으로 표현하고, 불똥은 입자로 표현하는 입자-격자 하이브리드 시스템을 이용한다. 이러한 방식을 그대로 인공신경망에 사용을 하게 되면 상대적으로 메모리가 많이 필요하며 계산양도 증가된다. 특히, 불똥 입자가 존재하지 않는 부분에서도 격자 공간에 대한 메모리를 할당해야 되기 때문에 고해상도 불똥 효과를 학습하는데 있어서 많은 문제점을 가지고 있다. 이러한 문제를 완화하기 위해 본 논문에서는 격자 단위가 아닌, 입자 단위로 불똥 입자 생성을 학습할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다.

  • 우리나라는 하천 및 호수 등 지표수에 대한 수자원 의존도가 매우 높다. 지표수는 태양광에 노출되어 있고, 기온의 영향을 직접 받기 때문에 기후변화에 대해 매우 민감한 수체이다. 기후변화로 인한 이상 저온, 이상 고온, 홍수, 가뭄 등의 자연 현상은 하천, 호수의 물리화학적 및 생태학적 특성을 변화(교란)시키고 있다. 이러한 기상현상에 변동되는 수질특성을 고려하여 기상청 확률기상예보를 구축된 인공신경망 예측모형의 입력인자로 적용하여 수질예보시스템을 개발하고자 하였다. 모형구축은 실제 일어난 기상관측자료와 요인분석을 통해 분류한 수질인자를 반영하여 단위유역별 수질예측을 위한 ANN학습을 실시하였다. 각 단위유역마다 기상요인의 공간적 세밀화 적용을 위해 각각 남강A, 남강B는 산청기상대, 남강C, 남강D는 진주기상대, 남강E는 의령기상대 자료를 이용하였으며, 수질항목은 DO, BOD, COD, TOC, T-P, SS 총 6개로 단위유역 5개에서 총 30개 예측모형 구축을 위한 자료를 수집하였다. 학습된 인공신경망 예측모형에 기상청 확률예보 값을 입력인자로 사용하여 모형평가를 실시하였다. 5개 단위유역 중 상대적으로 유역관리의 시급성을 고려하여 남강댐 하류 단위유역인 남강D, 남강E 인공신경망 모형의 입력자료로 적용하여 평가하였다.

Learning Time Prediction Model for Web-based Instruction (웹 기반 학습을 위한 학습 시간 예측 모델)

  • The Web-based instruction on the internet provides lots of learners with the related information and knowledge beyond time and space. But in the Web-based instruction, there is a problem that the teaming process statuses for learners can be known only through an exam. This paper introduces a web monitoring method to check whether the learner has some problems in learning process and to be able to find out the students with the problems. In the method this paper proposes a learning time prediction model for predicting the proper next study time intervals based on the learner`s learning times and grades on Previous learning units. This method provides the educator with the learning Process statuses for learners. The Loaming prediction model for web-based monitoring can be used to stimulate learners to take the good teaming processes by sending automatically alerting messages if their real teaming times exceeds on his predicted learning time interval. The results of the estimation through case study on the web-based monitoring to use the teaming time prediction model show that most of on-line learners with Poor teaming process statuses get poor grades. In addition, the results show that learner`s poor habits keep going on without change.
