Thalweg Change According to Outer-bank Distance of the Submerged Vane in Curved Channel (날개형 수제의 이격거리에 따른 개수로 만곡부의 유심선 변화)

  • 자연하천은 직선하천보다 만곡하천으로 존재하는 경우가 많다. 하천의 만곡부에서 2차류 흐름과 나선형 흐름, 원심력이 수충부와 외측제방에 작용하여 하상에 국부적인 세굴이 발생한다. 세굴이 발생하게 되면 수충부나 외측제방에 붕괴나 피해가 일어날 수 있다. 세굴의 피해를 줄이고 만곡부유로를 조정하기 위해 날개형 수제를 설치할 수 있다. 날개형 수제를 설치한 하상은 수제의 두께, 길이, 높이, 간격, 위치, 배열 등에 따라 다르게 반응한다. 본 연구에서는 만곡 개수로에 잠긴 날개형 수제를 설치할 때 만곡 외측에서 수제 열까지의 거리가 만곡부의 유심선 변화에 미치는 영향을 이동상 개수로 수리실험으로 조사하였다. 이동상 수리실험은 폭 1.16 m, 깊이 1 m, 길이 24 m인 90° 만곡 개수로에 d50이 3.3mm인 잔자갈을 깔아 하상경사 1/300로 정리한 후 수제를 설치하는 순서로 이루어졌다. 수제는 폭 20mm, 길이 70mm의 직사각형 단면 목재로 제작하여 설치하였고, 실험별 이격거리는 외측 제방으로부터 8.4 cm, 14 cm, 19.6 cm로 하였다. 실험유량은 140l/s로 3시간 동안 흘린 뒤 하상측정장치를 이용하여 주요 횡단면별 하상고를 측정하였다. 측정한 데이터를 이용하여 최심하상고의 크기와 위치, 유심선의 변화 등을 분석하였다.

Development of DCOC Algorithm Considering the Variation of Effective Depth in the Optimum Design of PRC Continuous Beam (PRC연속보 최적설계에서 단면의 유효깊이 변화를 고려한 DCOC알고리즘 개발)

  • This paper describes the minimum cost design of prestressed reinforced concrete (PRC) hem with rectangular section. The cost of construction as objective function which includes the costs of concrete, prestressing steel, non prestressing steel, and formwork is minimized. The design constraints include limits on the minimum deflection, flexural and shear strengths, in addition to ductility requirements, and upper-Lower bounds on design variables as stipulated by the specification. The optimization is carried out using the methods based on discretized continuum-type optimality criteria(DCOC). Based on Kuhn-Tucker necessary conditions, the optimality criteria are explicitly derived in terms of the design variables - effective depth, eccentricity of prestressing steel and non prestressing steel ratio. The prestressing profile is prescribed by parabolic functions. In this paper the effective depth is considered to be freely-varying and one uniform for the entire multispan beam respectively. Also the maximum eccentricity of prestressing force is considered in every span. In order to show the applicability and efficiency of the derived algorithm, several numerical examples of PRC continuous beams are solved.

  • Todays, design of composite prestressed concrete beams is carried out by calculation of the prestressing force and its eccentricity assuming the sectional properties. However the characteristics of composite section made with a precast prestressed concrete beams and reinforced concrete slab is not reflected, so iteration method has been adopted. But its methed requires much time and labor. Accordingly, an improved design method will be presented. In this study, improved design method is proposed to design composite section directly without iterative calculation. Design examples according to the proposed design method are presented for easy application and verification of its reliability and authenticity. The results match well with the Hatcher's.

  • 이중편파 레이더는 수평 수직반사도($Z_H{\cdot}Z_V$), 차등반사도($Z_{DR}$), 교차상관계수(${\rho}_{HV}$), 차등위상차(${\Phi}_{DP}$) 등 다양한 변수 산출을 통하여 대기 수상체 구분, 우적분포에 영향이 적은 강우량 추정, 밝은 띠(BB, Bright Band)의 탐지 등이 가능하게 됨으로써 수문기상 및 재해관리 분야에 활용성이 점점 더 커지고 있다. 본 연구는 RHI, PPI에서 생산된 레이더 변수를 이용하여 BB를 탐지하고 그 특성을 평가하였다. BB는 레이더를 이용하여 상층대기를 관측할 때 수직단면에서 강수입자가 눈에서 비로 변하는 구간에서 과대하게 높은 반사도가 나타나는 층을 말한다. BB에서는 QPE가 과대 추정되기 때문에, BB의 특성 파악은 레이더의 관측전략 수립과 QPE 보정에 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 RHI에 의한 $Z_H$의 연직단면분석, RHI와 PPI의 고도각 경사거리(slant range) 빔의 ${\rho}_{HV}$, $Z_{DR}$, $Z_H$에 의한 분석을 통하여 BB의 상단부($BB_{TOP}$), 최정점($BB_{PEAK}$) 및 하단부($BB_{BOTTOM}$)의 고도를 상호 비교 평가하였다. 분석 자료는 KICT X-밴드 레이더에 의한 관측한 2015년 10월 21일의 층상운에 의한 강우를 이용하였다. RHI에 의한 $Z_H$의 연직단면 분석결과 $BB_{top}$, $BB_{bottom}$$BB_{peak}$는 KICT 레이더 고도(MSL : 40m)를 기준으로 각각 3.26Km, 2.3Km($BB_{width}$: 0.96km) 및 2.7Km로 나타났다. 이 같은 결과는 다른 2가지 분석방법에서도 유사하게 나타나고 있으며, 이는 BB분석을 위해 다양한 변수를 통한 신뢰성 있는 BB의 특성을 파악할 수 있는 기반을 제공한다.

  • In order to find the excavating performance of water-jet nozzle on the sand, the authors were carried out the excavating experiment with the model nozzles which were semi circular sectioned nozzles and rectangular nozzle in water tank. The results were as follows. 1) Excavating maximum depth and width on the sand by the water jet were straightly increased in proportion to the velocity of water jet and the section area of nozzle, and that, by the nozzle distance from the excavating point on the sand, the depth was decreased, while the width was increased straightly. 2) Rectangular nozzle which the thick of hole is 1mm, was a little bit better than the circular nozzle of the same sectioned area on the excavating performance. 3) Empirical equations between the velocity of water jet, the distance of nozzle, and the maximum excavating depth and width by angle of nozzle were expressed as linear, they were as follows on the 45$^{\circ}$ angle of the rectangular nozzle(1$\times$12mm); D=0.0093V sub(0)-0.23H+5.7. W=0.0147V sub(0)+1.06H+10.2. where, D is the maximum excavating depth(cm), W is the maximum excavation width(cm), V sub(0) is the velocity of water jet(cm/s); 926$\leq$V sub(0)$\leq$1504, H is the distance(cm) from nozzle tip to water-jetted point on the surface of sand.

Change of Strength of High-Strength Bolted Connection Depending on Standard and Over Bolt Hole (표준공과 과대공을 갖는 고장력볼트 접합부의 강도변화)

  • A tension member that has a high-strength bolt fastened to a standard bolt hole increases structural resistance but causes problems from workability or economic perspectives. In this research, a total of 28 samples that have standard and over bolt holes as the tension member's high-strength bolted connection were made and a tension test was conducted. The change of strength of the connection has been confirmed by comparing the tension load of standard and over bolt hole samples obtained from the test results with the design strength due to net section and end distance. Samples made with over bolt holes had a lighter tension load than that of samples made with standard bolt holes, exceeded the design strength of present design standards, and although decrease in strength was inevitable due to the over bolt hole, their safety was satisfactory.

An Analysis for the Characteristics of Headward Erosion and Separation Zone due to Bed Discordance at Confluence (합류부 하상고 불일치에 의한 두부침식 및 분리구역 특성분석)

  • The pattern of headward erosion at tributary and the separation zone formation in a loosed bed at confluence according to the confluence angle, discharge ratio, and dredging depth ratio have been analyzed. The separation zone is defined the inside of zero velocity boundary at downstream of confluence. The limit of separation zone occurrence is presented with dredging depth ratio. The propagation length of knickpoint increases as the confluence angle, discharge ratio, and dredging depth ratio increase in general and its regression equation has been suggested. The length and width ratios of separation zone in a loosed bed increase as discharge ratio and confluence angle increase as well as in a fixed bed. The length ratio decreases and the width ratio increases as dredging depth ratio increases results in great increase of shape factor and backwater rise by the conveyance reduction at confluence. The regression equation of shape factor with confluence angle, discharge ratio, and dredging depth ratio has been suggested.

  • In this paper, We explain the development of helicopter avation information system which provides the current location and other pre-saved informations in order to guarantee the safe aviation. The system we developed has the functions such as displaying digital map data and current location, route planning, displaying the rate of deviation, calculating and displaying the cross sectional view through the route and providing a real-time speed, heading and other informations. In this system, we use GPS to get the current location, made the 1:250,000 digital map to display the current location and made the cross sectional view from the DEM(Digital Elevation Mode)) data to help safe aviation. This system provides many kinds of route setting methods by using UTM coordinates, Lati. Longi, coordinates, database of heliport location, scanned map, etc., and displaying the heading and distance. Moreover, it also has a characteristic of providing a consistent user interface.

Prediction of Potential Shoreline Retreat by Sea Level Rise (해수면 상승에 의한 해안선의 잠재적 후퇴거리 산정)

  • Models of beach response due to sea level rise were verified by experiments and potential shoreline retreat around Korea and Japan was predicted. Wave tank experiments demonstrated that not only static retreat by water level rise but also additional retreat by wave action plays an important role in total retreat and additional retreat becomes important on the condition of high waves. The result of long-term analysis of tidal data over past 3 decades shows the tendency toward rise by an average of 1.79 mm/year, which is the result of rise in 29 regions and fall in 12 regions. Based on analyzed rate of long-term sea-level rise, potential shoreline retreats of study area after 50 years were calculated and the result shows serious loss of beach.

Quantitative Approach to the Magnetic Force of a Cylindrical Permanent Magnet Acting on a Ferromagnetic Object (원형 막대자석이 강자성 물체에 작용하는 자기력에 대한 정량적 접근)

  • The quantitative representation for the magnetic force of a cylindrical permanent magnet acting on a ferromagnetic cylindrical object was derived on the basis of magnetization theories, and the Gilbert and Ampere models of magnetism. The magnetic force derived in this study is directly proportional to the remanent magnetization magnetic field, the cross-sectional area of the permanent magnet, the saturation magnetic field, and the cross-sectional area of the ferromagnetic object and is inversely proportional to the square of the quantity related to the distance between the permanent magnet and the ferromagnetic object. The magnetic forces of an AlNiCoV cylindrical permanent magnet and a Ferrite cylindrical permanent magnet, both with a radius of 0.4 cm and a length of 7 cm, acting on ferromagnetic objects at distances farther than the radius were calculated to be less than 3.6711 N and 0.1857 N, respectively.
