A Study of A Cultural Classification and A Culture Contents Industrial Classification (문화분류와 문화콘텐츠산업분류에 관한 연구)

  • A cultural classification and a culture contents industrial classification are the basic tools for cultural policies, cultural supporting, cultural statistics, and evaluations and there is a cyclic processes among them. This study finds out the varieties and short time changes of cultural categorization in laws, statistics, indexes, evaluations, research reports. As a result, colon style new cultural classification is suggested which used networks, media, genre, and cultural comparts as principles.

초기 투자성과와 연계된 창업기업의 내부 결정요인 분석

  • 본 연구는 스타트업 투자성과와 연계된 창업가 역량, 재무정보 등 정량데이터를 기반으로 스타트업 투자자들의 투자결정요인을 분석하였다. 주요 실증결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 창업 초기 종업원 수가 많고, 최고경영자의 지분비율이 높을수록 투자승인 확률이 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 재무적 특성에서는 기업의 매출액 규모가 작을수록 투자승인 확률이 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 스타트업의 경우, 기업의 단기성과보다는 투자 결정에 있어 미래가치 혹은 다른 정성적인 요인이 더 고려된다는 점을 보여준다. 셋째, 창업가 특성에서는 CEO 교육수준(학력)이 높을수록 투자승인 확률이 높게 나타났다. 즉, 창업자의 학력은 성공적인 투자 여부에 핵심적인 변수이고 이것은 선행연구의 결과와 다르지 않았다. 또한, 학력과 투자유치의 연관성은 창업 3년 미만 스타트업에서 상대적으로 강하게 나타났다. 선행연구에서 투자정보공개, 관련 데이터 확보의 어려움으로 스타트업 투자에 관한 정량적 실증연구가 거의 진행되지 못한 점을 고려한다면, 본 연구는 설문조사 방식을 뛰어넘어 국내 초기 창업기업만을 대상으로 성공적인 투자유치와 연계된 스타트업의 평가요인을 정량적으로 분석했다는 점에서 중요한 의의를 갖는다.

Did Fluvial Terrace of Mountain Streams in Korea Form in Each Glacial Stage? (우리나라 산지 하천의 하안단구는 매 빙기마다 형성되었는가?)

  • This study summarizes domestic and foreign previous works on fluvial terrace with absolute ages to discuss formative process of climatic terrace in Korea. Different from traditional climatic terrace model, approximately three quarters from foreign works have argued that formation of climatic terrace can be attributed to medium- and short-term climatic change or other environmental factors, rather than long-term climatic change of glacial and interglacial cycles. Based on previous works on fluvial terrace in Korea, it can be suggested that fluvial terrace in Korea formed not due to long-term climatic change of 100,000-year cycles related to glacial and interglacial cycles, but due to medium- and short-term climatic change or climatic event of tens of thousands of years related to intensity change in summer monsoon, one of the important factors affecting precipitation in Korea.

Effects on Exercise Behavior and Health Status of Exercise Education Program in a Public Health Center (운동교육 프로그램이 보건소 내원자의 운동습관과 건강상태에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives: This study was performed to evaluate the effects of exercise education for the people living in the area where health promotion program has been operated. Methods: The research had been investigated at a public health center located in ChungNam-Do from April to September in 2003. The subjects of the research were the visitors at a public health center who were willing to obtain the exercise education program and the visitors at other one. 142 people learned the health program at the health center and 72 people didn't do that. These two groups had taken tests such as health condition(SF-36). blood pressure and blood test for six months. Results: The educated group got better marks in the area of knowledge and attitude than non-educated one. The educated group showed increased exercise frequency by second survey. The health status of the educated group looked better after education than the non--educated group, but it was not significant statistically. The grade of knowledge and attitude for exercise was higher in the exercise group than in non-exercise group. The exercise frequency was increased in the exercise group at second survey. The change of health status was not different between exercise group and non- exercise group. Conclusions: According to the research the author found that the exercise education program was helpful for population to improve their exercise habits. It had supposed that the education of exercise and the exercise itself had benefit on health status. But It was not significant in this study with any methodological limitations. If the exercise education would performed more adequately and more persistently, its effects on health status will be more positive.

Effect of Educational Attainment of Household Head on Eating-out Demand (가구주 학력이 외식수요에 미치는 효과)

  • Korean households' expenditures on the eating -out have been steadily increasing except for the foreign exchange crisis period. This paper aimed to examine the eating-out expenditures of salary and wage earners's households by educational attainment of household head. We modeled the demand function of eating-out in terms of income and price, examining the responsiveness of eating-out demand to changes in income and price using econometric methods such as regression, rolling regression and impulse response. This paper showed that coefficients of income and price tended to decrease as the income rises in the long-run. Specifically, the higher the educational attainment of household head is, the smaller the coefficients of income and price we. The impulse response analysis also indicated that while price shocks decreased the demand for eating-out, income shocks tended to increase tile demand for eating-out in all the educational attainments. Furthermore income shocks were much greater and last longer than price shocks at all educational attainments of household heads.

Continuing Education for the Library and Information Professionals : Present Situation and Need Assessment (문헌정보전문직을 위한 계속교육에 관한 연구 : 현황과 요구분석)

  • To investigate the present states and analyze the need of continuing education, a survey was done to the library and information professionals. Based on the personal membership file of the Korean Library Association, 292 members were selected using $25\%$ systematic sampling method. Questionnaires were mailed to them and $80\%$ returned. Of the total respondents. $90\%$ want to participate continuing education, however only $50\%$have a formal continuing education experience during last 3 years. Informal educational efforts are also weak and show much individual differences. $67\%$ of the libraries encourage continuing education but only $25\%$ of the respondents were provided with time and money for participation. The most favored mode of the continuing education Is one week course specialized In particular topic$(31.1\%)$ or area$(25.5\%)$. New methods, such as CD-ROM. online etc. were also preferred. Respondents regard professional association, society, and the library Information science department of university as desirable leading organization for continuing education. Among the 16 possible topics to be educated, respondents showed substantially higher Interest(more than $50\%$) In 5topics, and there were significant need differences In 7 topics among groups divided by library type.

Effect of School-based Sex Education: the Improvement of Sex related Knowledges and Attitudes of Rural High School Women Students (농촌 여자고등학생의 성교육 전과 후의 성관련 지식 및 태도의 변화)

  • This study was conducted to analyze the change of sex-related knowledges and attitudes of female students after sex education intervention at rural high school. After conducting a pre-survey on 119 subjects of 1st and 2nd grade female students in two rural high schools in November 1999, 150 minute-sex education was provided for the students by health professional from health center. Two follow-up survey were conducted in one month and six months later to evaluate the effect of sex education. The score of knowledge of AIDS was increased from 8.46 in pre-education to 11.90 in one month and 11.87 in six month later. The positive attitude toward the pre-marage sexual relationship was changed from 16.9% in pre-education to 14.4% in one month and 23.5% in six month later. The opinion for the heterosexual intercommunion during school age was not changed by sex education intervention and the subjects were pro for the making male friends during their school period. The subjects were more understood that AIDS patient should be treated humanly and they recognized that the mode of disease transmission and how to prevent the disease. To maintain the effect of sex education, the continuous and regular educational intervention and team approach from school and health professional should be necessary.

Study of the characteristics of dietary behavior and the effects of nutrition education for sodium reduction according to the stages of behavioral change in sodium reduction of male adult subjects in Gwangju·Jeonnam regions (광주·전남에 거주하는 일부 남성의 나트륨 저감화 행동변화단계에 따른 식행동 특성 및 나트륨 저감화 영양교육의 효과분석 연구)

  • Purpose: This study examined the dietary behavior and the effects of nutrition education according to the stages of behavioral changes in sodium reduction of healthy male adults (20~69 years) in Gwangju Chonnam Regions. Methods: The research subjects were 200 male adults. Results: A significantly higher mean age was observed in the stage of Action Maintenance (A M) than in the stage of Precontemplation (PC) and stage of Contemplation Preparation (C P). Significant differences in the frequency of exercise, eating out, and preference for salty food, intake frequency of Udon, Ramen and Sundae according to the stages of behavior change in sodium reduction were observed. The dietary behavior scores and intake frequency-related dietary behavior scores of A M were significantly higher than PC and C P. Nutrition education for sodium reduction improved the dietary behavior score significantly in PC and C P, as well as the rate of correct answers of sodium-related nutrition knowledge in all stages. After the nutrition education, PC decreased greatly, and A M increased. Conclusion: Subjects in PC and C P had an undesirable propensity in dietary behavior, and nutrition knowledge compared to A M, but the nutrition education for sodium reduction greatly improved their dietary behavior and nutrition knowledge.

Teaching and Learning of University Calculus with Python-based Coding Education (파이썬(Python) 기반의 코딩교육을 적용한 대학 미적분학의 교수·학습)

  • This study introduces a development of calculus contents which makes to understand the main concepts of calculus in a short period of time and to enhance problem solving and computational thinking for complex problems encountered in the real world for college freshmen with diverse backgrounds. As a concrete measure, we developed 'Teaching and Learning' contents and Python-based code for Calculus I and II which was used in actual classroom. In other words, the entire process of teaching and learning, action plan, and evaluation method for calculus class with Python based coding are reported and shared. In anytime and anywhere, our students were able to freely practice and effectively exercise calculus problems. By using the given code, students could gain meaningful understanding of calculus contents and were able to expand their computational thinking skills. In addition, we share a way that it motivated student activities, and evaluated students fairly based on data which they generated, but still instructor's work load is less than before. Therefore, it can be a teaching and learning model for college mathematics which shows a possibility to cover calculus concepts and computational thinking at once in a innovative way for the 21st century.

A Study on Creative Music Drama Teaching Plans for Pre-service Early Childhood Teachers using Piano Ensemble - Focusing on 'Peter & The Wolf' - (피아노앙상블을 활용한 예비유아교사의 창의적 음악극 지도 방안 - 피터와 늑대를 중심으로 -)

  • Nowadays, the trend of early childhood education has focused on finding educational activities to enhance quality of learning with integrative, learner-centered experience by combining each subject and domain. Pre-service early childhood teacher's music drama activity is a sort of integrated education including literature, instrumental music, play, art and movement that are included in the culture and art for preschoolers to help them understand role and value of the art and directly influence personality and creativity and motive to arouse interest in various learning directly. It's expected to see that development of creative teaching plan for the music drama using piano ensemble could support basic research in integrated educational activity in the teacher training course and also, activate the music drama activity. Research findings and suggestion are as follows. First, the music drama activities are systematically and step-by-step implemented according to the audience according to the cooperative learning and creative plans of pre-service early childhood teachers. Second, if understanding characteristics of casts in the music drama and assigning their roles efficiently, it enhances approach of pre-service early childhood teacher music drama activity and activate it. Third, making music in music drama activities can be composed and arranged to suit the musical literacy and level of pre-service early childhood teacher. Fourth, pre-service early childhood teachers could have integrated experience and evaluation efficiently in the short term to use as reference for the teaching plan and data for the music drama.
