  • 고속으로 주행하는 차량으로부터 차량의 일시정지함이 없이 자동으로 통행요금을 징수하기 위한 ETC(Electronic Toll Collection, 통행요금자동징수)서비스는 전용의 무선통신방식, 전자지불수단, 암호화, 영상인식, 실시간제어등의 다양한 기술을 필요로 한다. KT ETC 시스템은 능동형 DSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communication, 단거리전용통신)를 이용한 상용의 ETC 시스템이다. 본 논문에서는 KT ETC 시스템의 개발과 관련하여 핵심 기술인 능동형 DSRC와 ETC 서비스를 위한 스마트카드 기술등을 소개하고, KT ETC 시스템에 고유한 ETC 서비스 처리절차를 소개한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 지능형 교통망 시스템 서비스에 사용되는 5.8GHz 대역에서 OFDM을 이용한 단거리 전용 통신 시스템을 제안하고 제안 시스템의 성능을 평가하고 이를 분석하였다. 무선 다중경로 채널에서 데이터를 고속으로 전송할 경우, 신호는 페이딩, ISI(inter-symbol interference) 등의 영향으로 높은 에러율을 가지게 된다. OFDM 방식은 보호구간을 사용해 채널의 ISI를 제거하므로 일반적으로 등화가가 필요 없으나, OFDM 각 심볼 주기마다 보호구간의 사용은 채널 사용 면에서 매우 비효율적이 된다. 따라서 채널의 지연화산이 커질 경우, 보호구간만으로는 ISI를 완전히 제거할 수 없으며, 성능 개선을 위하여 등화기가 필요하게 된다. 본 논문에서 제안된 시스템에서는 ITS 권고 주파수 대역인 5.8GHz에서 국제 표준화 규격인 IEEE 802.11a 근거하여 OFDM 시스템을 모델링 하였으며, 단일 탭 등화기를 적용하여 제안 시스템을 시뮬레이터 기법에 의하여 성능을 비교 분석하였다.

  • Integrating a field of transportation and IT is becoming a novel solution to social and economic problems which was previously focused on the investment in infrastructures. It also created new areas of industry such as ITS and telematics. Especially, vehicle communication is being considered very important and DSRC is also important in the field of rational ITS in recent. DSRC OBE has come into wide use through ETCS. In the field of traffic signal control, the research to implement an optimal traffic signal control system using a real-time information of good quality is being carried out and also the study of WISDOM was successfully completed. This paper shows the development of Dynamic-Dilemma zone warning service utilizing WISDOM and the evaluation of a reliability and a practicality through the field test. While the proposed Dynamic-Dilemma warning system transmits an information of signal time optimized by WISDOM, the OBE which receives this information makes dilemma zone based on its location and speed and gives warning to a driver.

  • In this paper, we investigated performance for 5.8GHz dedicated short range communication system using OFDM which will be applied to Intelligent transportation system services. The maximum speed of a vehicle in DSRC channel is very fast as 180km/h, so a service time is very short to serve a various traffic information if hand-off is not occurred. Therefore higher bit rate is required to proved advanced and intelligent service to the drivers of various vehicle and the data transmission rate of the next generation DSRC system if being promoted over 10Mbps. The signals received in Racian channel have been simulated using the computer simulator. For performance improvement, BCH coding scheme are adopted.

  • 본 논문에서 항만 자동게이트통관시스템에 사용하기 위하여 단거리전용통신(DSRC)용 OBE에 사용되는 5.8㎓ 송신기 MMIC를 설계하였다. 능동소자로는 GaAs MESFET을 사용하였고, 회로의 복잡도를 줄이기 위해 직접변조방식을 채택하였다. 인접채널간섭의 영향을 줄이기 위하여 드레인 재어 변조회로를 사용하여 -40dBc이하의 인접채널간섭과 70dB 이상의 on/off비를 갖는 5.8㎓ ASK송신기 회로를 설계하였다.

  • In this paper new automatic gate system(AC5) which is used fo. non-stop gate entrance of container trucks is developed. The gate entrance imformations are transmitted and received by 5.8GHa dedicated short range communication(DSRC) between roadside equipment(RSE) and on-board equipment(OBE). The conventional systems, such as barcode system and camera identifiation system, are needed for container vehicles to stop at the gate. Here DSRC system and AGS are considered and the AGS and convensional systems are compared.

  • There are not many studies on the maintenance and replacement for the ITS equipments. Most of ITS center has no comprehensive regulation on the equipment replacement. This study was focusing on estimation of equipment replacement period and the number of spare parts in stock using the actual failure data of Road Side Equipment (RSE) by Dedicated Short Range Communication (DSRC). The failure data showed a type of bath-tub curves. The data, however, did not fit to any probability distribution curve, which means that the preventive replacement cannot be strongly applied for the RSE. In the aspect of practical strategy, this study suggest that repairing cost and failure frequency be used for decision of replacement of RSE after the 1 or 2 year warrant period. The future study needs to include more RSE failure data as well as other equipments of the ITS.

  • Supporting handover functionality in V2I communication environments is important to provide higher quality service to users on the road. Wireless Access in Vehicular Environments(WAVE) standards define some features that devices can communicate with each other more efficiently in vehicular environments but they do not include handover function for providing effective V2I services. In this paper, we introduce a handover scheme in WAVE system and show the performance result of proposed scheme.
